This place is hot dog nirvana! The list of topping is ridiculous! The dogs can be pricey but still worth it! Some lesser places serve greasy dogs but not here! Dogs served with just enough char to give them a little bite and well spiced! Take it to go because seating is a problem!

DOG E STYLE! Points for clever name for starters. A friend came into town and of course we had to talk him on the tour du Hollywood Blvd. After walking around forever trying to find Bill Murray’s star of fame(PS– He doesn’t have one yet— WHAT), we worked up quite the appetite and had a hankering specifically for hot dogs. Normally I would be Unilocaling out, trying to find online the best restaurant around, but we did it the old fashioned way and walked up to the place to check it out in person. It was busy and looked good so we decided to try it. WIN. The two guys working were so friendly, greeting everyone, asking how they liked the food, and energetically explaining how ordering works. When we walked in, all the customers immediately remarked on how amazing the food was, and how you can’t go wrong eating here, so of course we had to try it! They have a good variety of dogs /sausages to try. From there you can order add ons like grilled onion, fried egg, etc. They also have like 40 something free condiments you can add to your food, like relish, diced onion, a plethora of mayo /sauce varieties. I got the classic Snap Dog with grilled onions and chili as add ons, and then went hog wild on the condiments. In reality, I totally overloaded my dog, wanting to try many of the sauces I put a lot on in like a rainbow pattern in attempt to try different flavors. Half way through all the sauces muddled together and became indistinguishable. Aside from looking like slop though, it tasted excellent still! I would recommend choosing just a couple things to try so you can sample the flavors well. There isn’t a whole lot of seating, but some opened up right when we got our food, so it was perfect. On top of it, I needed to wash my hands BAD after eating, and although they don’t have a public bathroom, they let me use their personal one. The guy warned me though that it was disgusting and not at all a public bathroom– hahah we wasn’t kidding, it was definitely more like a broom closet and the toilet was pretty gross, BUT I was SOOO thankful to be able to use it, so regardless of the condition, that bathroom was my savior! Great place, good food, good people. A +++

I was looking to kill some time while my sister was at a concert and I ended up here. The hot dogs are amazing! I went in without any knowledge of how insane these hot dogs were. Upon entering the little place I loved how well-lit it was and how clean it looked. The cashier/cook, Eli, welcomed me with a big smile and proceeded to give me great advice on which dogs to get. I got the two he recommended and one that sparked my curiosity. The mango habanero dog(the dog of the month) was so good I ate it without any toppings whatsoever. It was delicious to the furthest extent of the word. The toppings and add ons on the side were not necessary for this dog but I must mention they have some interesting things on their menu such as curry ketchup and pesto mayo. I will definetely stop by when I happen to stumble into Hollywood again because I want to try every single unique sausage.

Came here at 2:00 am on a Saturday for a late night bite. The guy working was so friendly and nice and in such a good mood! Considering this is someone working at a fast food place on Hollywood Boulevard into the wee hours of the morning, I was impressed! The original snap dog is amazing and I love that you can completely customize it with whatever toppings you want. I’m from out of town, but next time I’m in the area, I’ll definitely come back here.

Fuck Pinks, this place is the shit. No lines, great dogs, more kinds of dogs, way better. If you’re looking for really snappy dog, I have to say Carneys is a little snappier. Other than that, Dog E Style can’t be beat. Get the fries too. They’re like Del Taco style, but way better.

I was in the area to watch Book of Mormon at the Pantages Theater down the street. My boyfriend and I woke up late so we didn’t have time to get a nice lunch before the show as we had planned. We were so hungry we needes to find a place to grab a quick bite before our show. Thankfully I found this place through Unilocal :) The food came out quick and tasted great! When you look at the menu, it lists what comes in the dog you order. When you get your food, it’ll come with the bun, the dog, and the special condiments(grilled onions, peppers, basically anything not out in their condiment section). They have a great condiment section against the wall that has a variety of items and sauces you can add to your hotdog. Now this is something a person like me appreciates, definitely a happy camper! I love it when I have unlimited amounts of stuff to add to my food! If you’re im the area and need a quick bite, check this place out!

Simple hot dogs. Nothing too special except for the toppings bar! Toppings range from sauerkraut to pineapple mustard to hot wing sauce. Sausage itself was pretty standard. Good snack stop if you’re off to a show at the Pantages!

Came for lunch today and ordered the spinach asiago chicken. It was an awesome premium sausage that’s well worth the price. You just have to be careful since it comes out hot and quite juicy. The juice splattered everywhere. I also had it with the premium cream cheese topping. I felt it was an unnecessary add on since there were plenty of amazing spices and condiments at the bar. If you’re a big eater, I’m not sure if this one sausage would fill you up. It’s fairly light on your stomach.

It’s okay. There’s unlimited free toppings to choose from, which is nice. But ultimately the dog is so-so and just works in a jiffy. I still prefer my dirty water dogs from the food cart that lingers around the Staples Center after a game.

Who knew my new favorite place in town would be a hot dog joint? Yep. A Food Network feature-worthy hole in the wall without Guy Fieri’s bleached tips anywhere in sight(yet). Walked in and was immediately impressed. Clean, great prices, tons of options. The staff suggestions are excellent but the beauty of quality links is that you really can’t miss. I had the hot link with onions and savored every last bite… the bun was bakery-fresh, sausage and onions well-cooked. I added chipotle mayo and inhaled it. Writing this at midnight and starting to crave it again. The love affair has begun.

Hubby and I were in the area and decided to stop by because of the great Unilocal reviews. We were not disappointed! Loved the hot dogs and french fries. The best hot dogs we have ever had. Super nice staff as well. Will definitely stop by again!

What’s more appropriate for me to do my ~*~OFFICIAL~*~ 100th review of the year on: some random place, or a place with an obvious sexual innuendo in the name?! Well DUH!!! So may I present my official review of Dog E Style *Trumpets* Dog E Style is a new business on Hollywood Blvd. It is located close to Hollywood and Vine, and funnily enough almost directly under the Showgirls marquee where«there’s hundreds of beautiful women and three ugly ones.» Dog E Style has been in business around about 2 months now, and it already boasts a 5 star rating and«people love us on Unilocal!» sticker. Today was my first visit, and I jumped right in. Dog E Style has a selection of different flavored dogs and brauts. I went ahead and tried the Kansas City(Swiss bratwurst with sauerkraut and spicy Creole mustard) and made it a combo(fries and a can of soda for an additional $ 3). The bun was freshly toasted, the dog was thick and juicy(hahaha innuendo # dos!), and the selection of toppings was impressive(you are served the dog plain and then can dress it up how you like, so I guess the topping ideas on the«staff suggestions» are moreso just that suggestions). The fries were good also, although to be honest they are crinkly fries and when I first saw them I thought I would be underwhelmed. The toppings I tried were the sauerkraut(meh), garlic mayo(my one true love), Dog E Style house sauce(yummy! Great for dipping fries) and siracha mayo(so good, not too hot but has the perfect kick). They also had a plethora of other toppings including: regular relish, atomic relish(a craaaaazy shade of green), honey mustard, curry ketchup, regular ketchup, jalapenos, onions, and well you get the point they boast over 40 toppings that you can add. Service was decent, nothing to write home about and nothing to complain about. They have one of those nifty Ipad things as their version of a cash register where they swipe your card and you can add tip and then sign on the screen. You can get your receipt printed, emailed, of forgo a receipt all together. One negative I have is that I have read about the frequent buyer card, and it is even noted as the check-in deal on Unilocal however no mention of the card was offered to me, and there were no cards visible on the counter-top for me to ask about them. It would have been nice to have this option presented to me as I work, live, and drink in the area and Dog E Style is a really central location for me. A bigger negative that I have about the place though is how hot it gets. I went around traditional lunch time and it was absolutely boiling in there. They have an L shaped seating bar(small, maybe 10 people and that would be a very cramped location) they also had a bar table outside although I didn’t notice any stools outside. But yeah — going back to the heat — boy it was H.O.T! The sun was beaming down on the completely glass storefront and I was working up a sweat just sitting there dipping my fries. Given the size of the location(teeny tiny) I can understand if a ventilation system may not be the best, or if there’s no room to put a fan on the floor but I suggest maybe moving the soda fridge on the counter-top and at least putting a counter-top fan to face the customers. It was almost unbearable in there, even to sit down for 20 minutes, and I can only imagine how bad it will get in there during summer. So overall, to end my Unilocal 100 in 2013 list I would give Dog E Style a solid 3.5 stars. I liked what I ate, and for a new business yes they do have some kinks to work out, but if they can work out these kinks I see them doing very well on the Blvd. There are other hot dog places on the Blvd(the most notable being either Skoobys or the ladies who make and sell hotdogs outside of the clubs) and maybe perhaps in the future Dog E Style will be added to this list.

I stumbled across this place on a night of drinking and it was like an oasis in the form of bomb sausage and every friggin sauce you could ever want! me and my girlfriend tried 2 different sausages and tons of fixins, i’ve been craving it ever since. the staff is super nice, the guy making the sausages had us in stitches and i think it must be really new because it was clean as a whistle. If you are in Hollywood, this is a MUST stop! Thanks guys, you made our night!

Walking by and decided to stop in and check this place out. You start by choosing the type of dog you want and it’s cooked to order on the flattop right in front of you. Then you get to choose the toppings from a wide selection, I went with chili, cheese and some grilled jalapeños. The dog is put in a toasted bun them generously smothered in the toppings. Once you get your dog you can finish it off with one of their smörgåsbord of sauces(around 40 different ketchups, mayos, mustards and hot sauces) The chili was nice and thick, the bun warm and toasty, the dog had a nice snap when I bit into it. Well definitely be back. And don’t forget to get your punch card! Fill it up and get a free dog

I had what the guys called a «paisano» … Itaian sausage with grilled peppers and onions.. Topped with chopped cherry peppers and Pesto Mayo! Awesome I’llbe back
