Del Taco

Damn been coming to this Del Taco since I was a kid. Always hit the spot and its now closed. Tragic and traumatizing. RIP Del Taco Figueroa :(

It’s C-​L-​O-​S-​E-​D. All signage taken down, even the big tall sign that was advertising its Carnitas less than a week ago. Don’t ask me why. They must have sold the property to a Starbucks or some other high-​demand, drive-​thru potential place. Very sad. They always had great service and never messed up orders. DEL TACO ESTA MUERTE! VIVA EL DEL TACO!

Was a great place for a late night snack. It is now CLOSED for good. Drive thru lady told me it was their last day open a couple of days ago. To bad.

THERE IS NO DRIVE THRU! Don’t be fooled like me because I am crying inside that my craving was unable to be satisfied during late night.

Let’s be real… this ain’t quality Michelin star food, but I’m rating this 4 stars cuz it’s pretty bomb for a fast food joint.
Easy to get to drive thru with plenty of parking for dine in (such a rarity in LA). Located on an intersection on Figueroa where there’s a fast food restaurant every direction you look. I’ve been to this place a couple times when I have craved some bad food and I’m satisfied every time. I typically order the machos nachos, regular tacos, fries, or a bean and cheese burrito. I rarely stray from those 4.
My food came hot with all the toppings neatly placed in my taco or nachos. They don’t skimp on sauce and the prices are fair. Don’t expect amazing service as the employees are straight to the point. This place is a 4 for it’s location, cleanliness, and well prepared food (for a fast food place).

Delighted as always with our Del Taco run. Good parking, just the right location when we were otherwise going to be parked on the freeway in traffic when the tot announced she both was hungry and had other pressing needs to address.
Not too busy (it was a Sunday evening), which always helps in my view.

Fast and their fish & shrimp tacos are good

I often come here in the middle of the night to get my late night food craving. I would like to thank the staff here for putting up with my belligerent self. Don’t always have to wait in the drive through for long and I always love whatever I get! 24 hour service makes me happy! My recommendations are any shrimp anything and the chili cheese fries! Tacos are also bomb to get on Tuesday and Thursday!

Pulled in for the Shrimp taco special, recommended by a friend. Not too bad for a Del taco. Where else can you get a Taco, burrito, burger and crosscut fries at the same location.
This location is on Restaurant row by USC. 24 hr drive thru, ample parking next to Fed-​Ex /​Kinkos.
Probably give them 3 ½ stars.

Shift leader insisted that I buy another bun because mine smelled like soap. Absolutely terrible service. I waited 45 minutes in line TO ORDER on New Year’s Eve. The attendants didn’t even care that that we were waiting in line. They preceded to take drive thru orders while ignoring us. Never giving my money or going to this certain location ever again. Appalling

BEER BATTERED FISH TACOS.
Look no farther, anything else on the menu is irrelevant. I go for at least 4. If you want to calm your munchies and not break the bank, this is your place.

So delicious, so hot and fresh, mmmmmm. Satify your fat fat cravings and then chug down a hot coffee. So good

don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Del Taco for their chicken soft tacos (Thursday Taco Night=3ckn tacos/​$ 2.09), strawberry milkshakes (the strawberry syrup has giant chicks of real strawberries), and 2/​$ 3 fish tacos (don’t knock it til you try it); BUT the service and food at this location was not good.
I pull up to the drive-​thru window, intercom lady asks me to please hold on a moment, 2 min later a dude says he’ll be with me in a minute, … So I wait and listen to the hardcore rap blasting from the insides of the car behind me… Finally he takes my order of 2 taco night specials (the Tuesday one– 3regular tacos/​$ 1.09) and I pull up. And I’m waiting and waiting and waiting. The red timer thingy at the cashier window reminds me that at this Del Taco I have to wait 6minutes and 4 seconds by the time I’m handed a small bag of tacos. When I get home 5 min later I’m bummed that the tacos are lukewarm, barely have any meat in them, and have wilty lettuce :(super lame. Out of the 20+ times I get TuesTacoNight, this is the worst batch. I’m putting this location the two-strikes-you’re-out list

Bad service! The cashier was nice super (Elsy) however, the manager was beyond rude! Her name is Bridget and let me just say, that the cashier had to apologize on her behalf!

I don’t leave a lot of reviews, especially for fast food drive thru locations. In this case I just had to. I’m really impressed with this location. The staff went above and beyond for me this morning. I had breakfast there this morning and it was REALLY packed and fast paced. I left in a hurry and left my purse on the bench because my hands were full of bags of food for the guys at my office. Well about 5 minutes later when I pulled up to my office, I reached for my purse and it wasn’t there! I was freaking out, and raced back to Del Taco. I figured it was long gone but when I walked into the restaurant and went to the seat it was gone. but Stella had noticed it and put it in the back safe for me. I was SO happy! She was a lifesaver. And the whole place is AWESOME! Thanks guys!

It’s all about the 99 cents CHICKEN SOFT TACO & CRINKLE CUT FRIES!

Yaay, I love Del taco. Too bad it’s fast food though and I can’t eat it much. In fact I probably only go there once a year and my once a year came a couple days ago and that will hold me for a while anyway, sorry to go off on a tangent here. I love the burritos and taco’s. their tacos are good and cheap and they will give taco bell a run for the money. In fact they are cheaper than taco bell which aint easy these days.
That’s it.

Del Inferno Hot Sauce. Ask for it. Nothing better.
This location is «A-​OK.» They are efficient and serve the same great & cheap «great when it goes in & bad when it comes out» food that every other Del Taco serves. You just can’t beat the prices of their tacos, and when you throw in the Del Inferno (ask for a BUNCH), it makes the pocket change you spend worth it.
One thing to keep in mind though is how much you are paying in future health care costs when you eat stuff like that… :/

I’m sitting by the corner eating my tacos after class when I hear a loud cackling from a couple across the room. I hear the female yell all snooty to the man sitting with her, «What is this? I ordered a „beef“ taco. Not a salad. There’s barely any meat in here.» She goes on ranting for a good ten minutes about it before she gets some affirmation from the man that there should be more meat in there and that she should do something about it. I’m thinking that I don’t care and I don’t need to be hearing it.
She grabs her taco and walks it over to the counter. She then proceeds to get all haughty and mad at the cashier as if millions of voices had suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced. The cashier replies, «That’s how much meat comes in a 49 cent taco.»
Bottom line: It’s Del Taco, assholes, and it’s 49 cents. Don’t expect someone to be grounding corn in a mortar and pestle at the back of the kitchen for some fresh tortillas. It is what it is.

I’ve been here dozens of time. After a visit to AAA office or just making a mad dash over to here. One unique way you can say this is like comfort food for me. It does fill me up and satisfy the desire for something bad for you.
Believe it or not, I’ve ordered a «macho» combo burrito with 2 soft tacos with this a large drink to wash it all down. Some days, 6 or 7 hard tacos. This time it was only a «macho» combo burrito with extra onions and no beans. I’m guessing this guy is a supervisor or manager since he was on the phone after he took my order. He kept on asking me if I wanted to order the beef burrito. It’s essentially the same thing. (So, you’re trying to sell me a higher priced item with less stuff) No, I like the «macho» combo burrito without the beans.
Warning: when ordering the large fountain drink, this is like the 48 or 64 ounce cup you would normally get at 7-​Eleven. Know what I mean? So you’ve been warned. That’s a lot of soda.
