I enjoyed this place a lot. The cashier girl was extremely friendly patient and recommended my delicious chicken Parmesan dish. The food tasted delicious and I recommend this place to anyone.

Great pizza, my kids loved it. A bit pricey but to be expected from the farmers market, this is good quality standard American style Italian pizza.

I am aware that people in the service industry make their income off of tips. And if I even had decent service, I wouldn’t have even questioned it. Regardless, I left a cash tip at this establishment but later found out that an additional tip was applied to my credit card. After several attempts to contact the owner/manager, I was unable to speak with him as he was never available or too busy to come to the phone. That being said, under the Fair Labor Standards Act, a tip is defined as a sum presented by a customer as a gift or gratuity in recognition of some service performed for him. A tip is distinguished from a service charge, which the restaurant cannot use as a tip credit to offset the minimum wage. The key distinction between the two is that tips/gratuities are within the customer’s discretion, but a service charge is not. I can’t comment on the quality of the food as it really irritated me that this was done. I don’t think this establishment should have been allowed to charge my credit card [extra] without my authorization, and can’t believe they had the audacity to do it…

I ordered the cheesesteak panini , The bread was not toasted like a panini should be instead it was soggy and probably put in the microwave by the lazy cook. The steak was bland and had no flavor and the onions were microwaved also. Ive had a slice of pizza from here before and it wasnt bad hence why I will give them 2 stars instead of one. But please only eat pizza here. Dont waste your money anything else.

Today we went to Deano’s pizzeria for the first time. We ordered a large pepperoni pizza. The pizza was fresh and wonderful. They also sell lasagna, pastas, and salads. When we ordered our pizza I thought it would take a while but it didn’t; we received our pizza hot and fresh within 10 minutes. We paid $ 19.00 and some change for a 14 inch pizza which were 8 slices. So if you are thinking about going to LA’s farmers market, stop by Deano’s pizzeria.

With so many food options at the farmer’s market, choosing one is a chore in and of itself. Today I decided that I was feeling in the Italian mood, and the smell of sauce really got to me. So I pulled the trigger on Deno’s lasagna and a slice of pizza. The pizza was pizza, nothing too exciting to be honest. However getting it by the slice premade is never a good way to go about that I feel. The lasagna tho I did like quite a bit. Reminded me of homemade which I enjoyed. No meat, only cheese. And by only cheese I mean 50 lbs of ricotta. A little too much for me which was unfortunate. However it was still good.

I think the 3.5 rating is accurate. The food is okay. The service was okay. The environment itself was fun. I don’t know, I wasn’t overly impressed with what I ate, no life changing moment where I wondered where this food had been all my life. It was just… meh. We split a pesto pasta and a chicken pesto panini. The pesto to me was really lacking. I felt like it was just average in the pasta, there was no strong nutty flavor to it, no strong aroma. It was lackluster. The sandwich itself wasn’t bad, but again I wasn’t amazingly impressed. I ate it and was content, but I was not thinking to myself in each bite how good the food was. I think had I been with friends instead of a family member I might have put more effort into finding something I really wanted to try, but alas we were in a rush and settled on this. Not bad, maybe the other items are better? Service was also just eh… No smiles or greetings. Absolutely no enthusiasm or warm welcome when we went to the counter, was kind of awkward. The girls at the front were quite young, didn’t seem at all interested to suggest anything or at least smile. Overall, not the worst experience, but I don’t think I’d come back to this farmer’s market to come eat here specifically.

Great customer service! Pizza is just below par. Tiny slices and barely any sauce. The crust was good, though. 3 stars for how nice the employees were.

The farmers market was pretty cool. We had a good time, beer and pizza and salad. Here we had a Mediterranean Calzone(added chicken) split for two and we ordered a strawberry spinach salad. The salad was fantastic! Such simple flavors made perfect. We didn’t even use the dressing because it was so good. The pizza had a good amount of goat cheese and was so savory. The crust was great, the sauce and spinach mix was good. The calzone was only $ 8 and the salad was around $ 6. Very fair pricing for a great meal. We went down to one of the bars and grabbed beer and came back before our food was ready. We enjoyed the experience and we probably return and try many of the options in the market.

After having a bad experience at one place at the farmers market I decided to try a slice of pizza. For $ 3.25 you can get a very small slice of cold pizza! I’m not sure about the other food they serve… but the slice I got was horrible!

We originally came for brazilian bbq, but since the line was so long, we discovered Deano’s. Definitely, 3.5 stars for the value pack — 1 pizza(cheese or pepperoni), pellegrino drink, and salad for $ 8. The pizzas were mediocre, but the salads were pretty refreshing — you can’t go wrong with either dressing of balsamic vinaigrette or caesar salad with ranch. For the drink, we got the blood orange pellegrino, the meal can fill you up, but also enough to leave room for dessert. All in all, would come back again to try their other dishes, such as the lasagna. Gumpot is also right across the plaza from them, and they’ve got alligator meat! Okay, totally tangent, but definitely worth checking this section of the Grove’s farmer’s market out.

My son and tried the meatball pizza and it was one of the best pizzas I have ever had! My son is pretty selective about what he eats and he loved it also. The cheese was very stretchable, sauce was very flavorful, sliced meatballs were large and thin. They also put pepperchini peppers on top which gave it a little twang. The crust was twisted and rolled over with a little sauce inside of it. I enjoyed it so much, I ate more than I should have. AMAZING!

This place is located at the Grove in the Farmer’s Market area towards the west side. Hubby and I had the Cajun pizza topped with shrimp & chicken. It’s supposed to be made with shrimp and sausage but I don’t eat pork and she kindly substituted it for me. It was a great pizza however I don’t know what made it «Cajun» because it did not have a cajun flavor at all. The spinach and strawberry salad was very fresh. Loved that it had walnuts, cranberries and feta. We’ll be back to try the other pizza selections.(Greek, curry chicken, etc.)

Was leaving a meeting at the Farmers Market and needed to grab some dinner to take home… this fit the bill. The pizza is nothing special but it’s not terrible. I’m not a huge fan of red sauce and they didn’t have any white slices ready to go, so I did settle for a slice of pepperoni and a slice of cheese. I thought the red sauce was a little heavy and cloying, but if you’re a red sauce fan, you might like it. The garlic bread was again nothing special, but not the worst I’ve ever had. Service was quick and friendly. I feel like the prices were pretty high for what is essentially a slice joint, but you ARE at the Farmers Market and everything is pricier there. Make sure to get your parking validated when you order your food! Wouldn’t rush back here but if I was starving and at the Market, you could do worse.

The food was mediocre and was served lukewarm. The service was so surly that the woman behind the counter handed me my order(Fettucini Alfredo with chicken) while facing the other direction and conversing with someone else. I asked for a glass of water with my meal and was handed a cup of ice. When I asked where the water was, the same person behind the counter silently pointed at the water fountain. On the plus side, they have a wide selection of dishes on the menu, including various gluten-free items. Overall, I don’t plan to return. It was far from the worst experience I’ve had dining, and thus the two stars; but it was hardly adequate service or flavor for the price, and thus I –only– gave two stars.

Deano for President!!! Who knew that a stroll through the Farmer’s Market at The Grove would reveal a hidden gem for all who love freshly made, thick crusted, tangy tomato sauce, crispy veggies and savory meat covered in piping hot mozzarella cheese would taste so good? I’ve only tried 2 types of pizza at Deano’s, Pepperoni and Combo with no black olives. I loved it. To say that I was impressed would be an understatement. You can taste the quality in every bite and I always want another slice when I’m finished. Deano’s is a healthier slice of pizza. By healthy I don’t mean low calorie or even low taste. I just mean that the ingredients are top shelf and it isn’t just another greasy old pizza that you can buy on any street corner. For people who seek gluten free, you will love the options that Deano’s provides. I’ll be back for sure for my pizza fix! Thanks, Deano!

Ordered the small pepperoni pizza and a cheese lasagna. Service was great and good and the food came out piping hot and fresh. The pizza looked Amazing! However it was not. I swear the pizza tasted like Tony’s frozen pizza. The lasagna literally tasted like stauffers frozen lasagna. Yuck. Never again! The best part of the pizza was the crust. Not bad. Then Again I don’t eat pizza for the crust.

Great chicken alfredo pasta. Just the right amount of butter and the chicken was really tender. It’s a little more on the expensive side(just barely) but that’s what happens when you’re right next to The Grove. Farmer’s Market in general is such a fun atmosphere and a cool place to hang out during the day. It’s pretty convenient because if you’re with a group of friends and you don’t all want to get the same food, there’s a ton of choices from all different ethnicities.
