Always been a fan of curry house. Since I work nearby this location, it’s even more convenient to come and pick up to go. I get to come here whenever I have a craving for curry. Limited selection for to go, but it has what I usually order so it works out. They have a hamburger bowl that is more than enough food for lunch. Sometimes, I would get the lunch set just for the soup, and if I’m extra hungry then I would also spring for the curry pan. Parking in the structure is free with validation.

I used to come here every Monday for lunch since I work across the street. It’s been awhile since I’ve been there and I’d like to write my review. First off, I would never come here again. I noticed their curry sauce portion shrank. When I asked them about it, they said its management’s orders but that they can give me more curry sauce(small container) if I paid 50 cents. So I did. They gave it to me and I realzied they didn’t even fill up the small container. They filled it 25% full. When I asked them about it they said that it’s management’s orders as well to not fill it up all the way. So I asked them why they show me the whole small container that I would get this much curry more if I paid 50 cents??? They gave me a false impression that I would get a whole small container full of curry. This place is a rip-off. I mean curry sauce is just curry and water. I paid extra for curry sauce and they give me a small sip of it for 50 cents. Not even enough to wet my lips with. That’s RIDICULOUS.

This location is conveniently near my workplace, and I am never disappointed. On cold days, I usually go for the chicken curry udon, which is pretty good. On other days, I get the regular chicken curry(medium heat) with rice, which is also delicious. Although, if you’re super sensitive to salt, you may not want to guzzle down all the curry gravy like I do. =/(But it is so tasty.) The portion sizes are pretty decent, and the service is quick. It’s easiest to walk in, rather than drive, since parking spaces are limited(unless you park in the structure).

Nothing can make you forget a heavy day like a great a moment… I’m glad that I had more than a great moment at the Curry House. I stopped in for lunch /early dinner, there was plenty of room, place was very clean, nice, comfortable. Staff was friendly and good. All good things you want in a restaurant but it’s not what really matters. There has to be some good food! The food is great, I had the pork Katsu with medium spicy curry. Damn! Fresh, delicious food, I’m going to get back there next time I’m in little Tokyo!

Our go to place for curry(katsu and beef) to go. Great comfort food. The side salad is delicious too. Fast, cheap, delicious. Could use way more spice though.

There’s no place to sit inside. But that’s not my gripe with this place. Firstly, when I walked in, the two cashiers working behind the counter did not stop conversing with one another. I stood there for at least two minutes. I felt as if I were invisible. I cleared my throat and said, «Hello.» They still didn’t stop talking. Finally, after another minute passed by, one of them took my order. My order arrived fast enough. But when I sat down to eat it, I found the chicken tasted like cardboard, and the breading on my chicken katsu was soggy. Not crispy like it’s supposed to be. I know it’s a «to go» place. But for 11 bucks, I expected a little more.

Strictly To-Go! They dont even pack your ginger for you. Make sure you go to the self-serve bar on the side before you leave if you want any. I called in an order and asked the girl to see if they could pack the ginger for me cause I was in a hurry to get back to my office and she insisted that I had to pack it myself. Ugh.

Stumbled upon this place on accident. I Unilocaled the nearest Curry House and got the one in Little Tokyo. Parked the car, paid the meter, and saw this little guy. I had no idea that there were TWO Curry Houses in this shopping center! There is the actual restaurant and the«To Go» version as well. I thought that this was what I had found on Unilocal. They have a small selection compared to what the full restaurant offers. I will definitely come here when I am looking for some take-out. They have a nice little stamp system where you can get a free meal after ordering 10. When you have time and want to sit down and dine, the full restaurant is definitely where you want to be. Don’t make the same mistake I did, but definitely make the trip here if you’re looking for something quick and easy to take home. :)

You’re downtown, whether on Jury Duty or visiting MOCA and you want a bite? Head on over to Astronaut Ellison N Onizuka Street(whose name is longer than the street.) to Curry House To Go. I’ve eaten practically everything on the menu and there’s no wrong choice. It’s both less expensive and less crowded then it’s parent upstairs, and while the menu is more limited, I’ve never been disappointed. They’ve just added tofu to the menu, so vegetarians have another choice than just vegetables. Note that curries are not really«hot». I order medium which seems bland to me and I am a big pasty wimp. You’re mileage may vary

I love Curry House, but today I was in a hurry and noticed this place! It’s exactly the same sweet curry as the upstairs restaurant sells, but you get it in under 30 seconds! If it’s a nice day out, there are plenty of spots to quickly eat outdoors. I’d like to swing by and try a curry pan. They’re only $ 1.80.

Ordered some to-go for my coworkers and myself for lunch today and I had called telling them I’d be there in about 20 minutes. Well got there and I saw the cashier giving the kitchen the heads up to make the food… well I had specifically ordered togo so I wouldn’t have to wait right… the smell in the store is great, but the food is not too special. The Curry House 2 floors above is wonderful though, don’t get me wrong… I brought back the food and realized that they had not given us the«special red ginger«like it had shown in the pictures. and there were 4 pieces of beef in the curry. Needless to say, this will be my last time visiting the togo store…:(

I’ve only had their curry pans here, and they are amazing. The hot one warms me up during a cold day(dunno about you, but some bites taste like pork bun), and the medium one is tasty, but I sense no level of spiciness in it. I usually visit Little Tokyo on some Sundays because of free street meter parking, and it’s a shame that Curry House To Go doesn’t open on Sundays, so I actually end up getting the curry pans at the Curry House restaurant with some wait time, but I have tried the curry pans from the to go location, so my review is legit! Somehow my fingers end up pretty greasy after eating a curry pan or two, so stock up on a few of those napkins! They sure are filling for the price you pay. :)

I don’t know why but it doesn’t taste as good as the restaurant upstairs. I assume it’s from the same kitchen or am I wrong. I’ll only come here if I don’t have time to sit and eat but I’d rather order from upstairs and go. Or if they have a discount or anniversary and the wait upstairs is super long I’ll come here to order to go. But I’m not wowed at all.

This place right here is what I call curry house JR. You go here when say you dont have enough time for lunch at Curry house or you just want something quick. The meal portions here are smaller than the regular curry house and much cheaper. The only bad parts bout here is that the menu is smaller no seafood curry or such wonderful drinks as Japanese Iced green tea or Tropical Iced tea. However if you dont want to spend alot or pressed for lunch this is a good place to go.

I have heard great things about the Curry House chain, so I gave this to-go version a try. I definitely hope the main chain is not like this one. The service for a «To-Go» restaurant was not the quickest and the quality of food did not make up for the wait time. If you’ve tried to make boxed curry yourself, you’ve already tried curry house to go. There’s nothing special about the sauce, servings of meat and veggies are meager, and side servings are unsatisfying. My overall experience was disappointing. Yes, this is a fast food version of the acclaimed chained restaurants, but I have tried other«express» versions of chains up to par with their main counterparts. Take the time to walk around the area before deciding on what to eat. There are definitely better restaurants in Little Tokyo, for the same«to-go» price.

«To-Go» is Just as Slow! Not my favorite place for curry, but I was expecting it to be a bit faster since it was«to go.» The curry did have fresh carrots. The parking sucks. It is in Weller Court so you have to find your own parking. There is a garage that validates. There are also meters. This is an OK place to visit if you are in the area. I would not drive out of my way to come here. I just have had better.

This is where I go when I want to eat curry house but don’t have enough time. You don’t have to wait for a long time like Curry House upstairs and you get the same food. The only differences are outside seating and disposable utensils. This place was usually good(4 stars good) but my last visit wasn’t that good. I felt bad convincing Nick H to come here. Curry stuff: same as upstairs. I recommend adding beef toppings to your curry. 5 stars. Hamburger curry: this is what I got on my last visit. I didn’t like it too much. 3 stars. Curry pan: best curry pan I’ve had in LA. 5 stars. Parking at Weller Court sux. They give you punch card for free curry after 10 visits.

10% discount with Marukai receipt. This is located immediately adjacent to Marukai-inside the Weller Court on the 1st floor. I stopped by today to pick up chicken katsu curry for my famished daughter. It was a little over $ 7. The service was lightening fast. It carries curry pan, croquette and onion rings as well as other delicious food. It’s perfect if you’re in a hurry.

Got this place mistaken with the Curry House Restaurant upstairs. I was too hungry to realize that this place said«To-Go.» I was going to ask the cashier if there was another location but I was too hungry. Ordered the lunch set with Curry Chicken. The shrimp tempura was very crunchy and the shrimp had lots of «meat.» I didn’t like the pickled carrots. The price for the portions were just right. However, I would pay a little more for the atmosphere that the Restaurant offers, since I wasn’t in a hurry or anything. Good place if you want hot food and are in a hurry.
