10÷28÷10 Stopped at this truck in Toluca Lake and am glad we did. The cupcakes are huge! Yummy and come in cute Chinese take out containers.

Bigger cakes than those other sissy ass cupcakes you find on other trucks. The chocolate frosting was good, not too sweet. The cake itself as a bit dry but I couldnt tell cause the coffee at work sucks and it was also a Monday. Everyone knows that Monday’s blow! When I do run into the GoGO a Trucks again… I will definitely pay a sweet visit. Thanks for supporting our school, our band, and our community. Keep on Unilocaling.

If I was rating Cupcakes A GoGo Truck solely based on the box that a single cupcake comes in, I’d give that 4.5÷5 stars. Unfortunately, the cupcake is the part that’s mostly being judged. A coworker requested the truck to stop by near our work, but they didn’t respond to her at first. She sent them a few more E-mails, and just 20 minutes before the truck arrived, she got an E-mail saying that Cupcakes A GoGo was arriving. Wow, way to go on a short notice, haha. Anyways, a couple coworkers and I never gotten cupcakes from a food truck before, and we loved the cupcake concept, so why not? I got the strawberry, a couple coworkers got the cookies n cream, a few got the red velvet, one got the vanilla with chocolate frosting, and a couple got the lemon. Now for some semi reviews of each one: Strawberry — extremely box-mix-like, frosting tastes like cream cheese with a hint of strawberry. It is difficult to find a good strawberry cupcake, and this one did not make me zomghappinesshappy. Cookies n Cream — «tastes like shit,» «the oreo was the best part.» Lemon — «DELISH!!! Frosting is cream cheese with hint of lemon.» Red Velvet — «good and moist, can’t quite mess up red velvet.» Vanilla w/Chocolate Frosting — «it was okay.» So yes, gimmicks work. Go here for their cute boxes. A different color ribbon distinguishes what kind of cupcake is in it, such as pink for strawberry, black for cookies n cream, yellow for lemon, etc. My box didn’t have a cute sticker on the box, so BLAHHHHHHHH. Oh well. No big deal. $ 3.50 for a cupcake. not quite worth it; you’re pretty much paying for the awesome box though!

This truck should be renamed to Cupcakes a NONO! The cupcakes are overpriced, flavorless and completely dry. I got the red velvet and coconut and was completely disappointed by both. I don’t mind paying $ 4 for a cupcake when it’s out of this world, but these cupcakes are way below average and I would never go back again or recommend to anyone. Just plain GROSS and a huge waste of money!

I thought we were over this whole cupcake fad. Then again, I really probably shouldn’t be calling cupcakes a fad. I mean, they’re personal sized cakes with its own wrapping paper. It was downtown art walk, why the hell not get a sweet treat after drinking at two bars and watching a lot of bad art, right? Then it dawns on me… there’s a lot of stupid cupcakes out there. Big Man Cakes. which is like, putting a mescaline spin to the whole cupcake. Why yes, cupcakes can be for men as well… Anyhow, Cupcakes A GoGo is the complete opposite of a manly cupcake. They come in their own little demasculinizing pink striped box. i went with a strawberry one. Why? Because if I see another attempt of Red Velvet on a menu I’d probably start going on a rampage. But over all it was decent. A little dry and the cream on the top was a bit overwhelming. I sort of see all the massive pile of frosting on a cupcake to be nothing more than masking a poorly made cupcake. Let the cupcake do the talking for the cupcakes sake. And when you’re paying $ 3 for a single cupcake, I guess you’re expecting a lot more. Though with Froyo costing a good couple of bucks, I guess that prices are just going up and up these days. Over all, I guess it’s alright. I generally would pass on it unless I was on a date and walked past this and just had to have something sweet. Not to best cupcake. but it’s alright.

NEWRULE: If the consumer wonders whether this is a scratch cupcake or a Betty Crocker(or if she is a Unilocaler Betty C.) cupcake, the actual recipe no longer matters You rate it as if was a Betty C. Cupcake. And I got the feeling I paid $ 3.00 for a Betty C. Cupcake. Now Betty C. doesn’t suck or anything, if you want to serve me one or two at your house I will be glad to scarf it down, but the truth is I expected a lot better. But what I got was a very pretty cupcake in an adorable but unnecessary package that was a meh as meh gets. The cake was moist, but then again you can say that about a Hostess cupcake, and while the frosting was creamy, the mint was way too understated to satisfy me. The color and the scattered chips on top of the frosting makes you think of mint chocolate chip ice cream, but the flavor just isn’t there. Now let’s talk about the package, each individual cupcake is packaged in a faux Chinese take-out container, complete with the wire handle. It very well may cost the Cupcakes a GoGo people more for the box, than for the cake. Now if I was 14 years old, and was buying a cupcake for my 8th grade dance date, this would be the perfect giftwrap; but it’s a food truck. Many customers are going to eat it within 12 seconds of purchase. Do they really need to throw that much waxed cardboard and aluminum wire into the trash. Worse yet, the guy in front of me was buying a dozen to take back to the office. That’s right, he got 12 cupcakes in 12 waxed boxes, which had to be put into three large brown paper bags. And the inefficiency doesn’t end there. Unlike Chinese food which needs to be kept warm and is served by being spooned, scooped, or chopsticked out of the container, this is a cup cake. The diameter of the round cupcake fits perfectly in the square box. but since the cupcake is wider at the top and frosted around the rim, the frosting will touch all 4 walls of the box. While that inflicts minor cosmetic damage on the product, how would someone who weighs over 88 pounds get their fingers in the box to lift the cupcake cleanly??? Even Betty C. knows that. «Gourmet Food Truck #115 on my never-ending quest to try every truck in So Cal»

So, I love cupcakes. I love them. Seriously. It’s a problem. And as I was going about my normal Food Truck Friday ritual I saw the Cupcakes A GoGo truck across the street and thought to myself that walking across the street to get a cupcake would be far to much effort. But much to my displeasure, after I’d eaten my lunch my body was saying«Cupcaaaake…cuuupppcaaaake!» So — I wandered back outside and up the street to the Cupcakes A GoGo truck. Now, the problem here is — I love Sprinkles. They’re amazing. Their strawberry cupcakes especially. Why is this a problem you ask — well, Cupcakes A GoGo is definitely NOT Sprinkles. Sure, the cupcake(strawberry) was alright, but it wasn’t anything special. And plus, it was $ 4. Sprinkles is $ 3.50 and much better. The problem is that I couldn’t really pin down the problem. It seemed a bit… greasy? Bland? Unoriginal? I’m not sure. But what I do know is that sorry, Cupcakes A GoGo, I won’t be buying cupcakes from you again. Frankly, it would be more worthwhile to drive all the way to Beverly Hills to buy a brilliant or to just make my own.

I was so disappointed today with Cupcakes a GoGo. I loved them when they first entered the gourmet food truck scene, but things have definitely soured. I was told today, by the gal on the truck, that they now have a bakery baking their cupcakes for them. I figured that was bad news, but wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt so I bought one. As soon as I opened the box I knew the days of orgasmic cupcakes from the GoGo truck were gone. The cupcake was so small compared to what they used to be and it was very dry. The buttercream frosting was still great, but being paired with a sub-par cupcake made it «just okay.» Sorry, Gogo Girls. Until you go back to making the cupcakes yourselves I will not be buying from your truck. :(

This truck came to my company for our gourmet lunch truck day(fundraiser). I am so glad that I bought dessert first! They ran out within 45 minutes! I must admit that the cupcakes are a bit pricey($ 3.50 per cupcake), but I sure enjoyed eating them! Cupcakes were moist and icy was delish… I tried the Cookies n’ Cream and Double Chocolate cupcakes. I loved both of them. These cupcakes are like a «once in a while» thing for me. Food trucks are always a fun experience and when paired with cupcakes… you can’t go wrong. If I died without eating another one of their cupcakes, I wouldn’t care… but if they were in my area, ehhh… Sure I’d stop by to pick a cupcake up. I wouldn’t go out of my way to find them though like other crazy foodies following trucks around town.

Underwhelming. I agree with the people that said it tasted like a cake mix cake. I got the Chocolate with vanilla frosting. tastes like betty crocker cake mix with semisweet or bittersweet chocolate chips the frosting is too dense for me and is overly sweet. The truck design is very cute with a cupcake with the shiny discs like the sparklett’s water trucks. the cupcake comes in a chinese take out box. the 3.50 i bet is just paying for how much they paid in decoration and packaging. i could buy 3 cake mixes with that money. and i will def stick to that.

Damn I’ve gone to cupcake heaven. The only place better is Frosted. Cupcakes agogo is cupcakes a yumyum. I had the cookies and cream and it was one of the best cupcakes ever. The frosting was sweet without being too sweet and totally yummy. The cake was some of the moistest I’ve ever tasted with chocolate chips. I was in heaven. I paid $ 3 for my cupcake, kind of pricey but worth it. Yum Yum Yum!

Sooo… I’m driving home from my last day of rotations at the clinic and i see this shimmering object as I pass a street in the Valley… I tell my carpool buddy… «HEYTURNAROUND» and what do you know we discovered the Cupcakes a GoGo truck! I got the carrot spice and red velvet and my buddy got the vanilla and cookies and cream. ALL were amazing! The cake was moist and the frosting was fluffy and not overbearing and too sweet. Everything was just right and this cupcake came from a truck not straight from the bakery… that says a lot! Anyways… if you happen to be driving and spot some sequences… stop and check to see if its the Cupcakes a GoGo truck!

Concept it really cute, prices are a little higher than average I feel especially for a place that doesn’t have the name like Sprinkles. Ordered a mint chocolate chip and red velvet cupcake. Mint Chocolate Chip– Pretty tasty, not overly minty, pretty good chocolate. Very edible, would order again probably. Red Velvet– No… just no. I don’t understand screwing up a red velvet cupcake! Cake was mediocre, frosting was sour. like really sour, as in they used sour cream instead of cream cheese like you are supposed to. I threw the rest of it away and I NEVER do that. Probably wouldn’t even eat it if it were free.

Gave them a no go when i scanned them at Downtown Artwalk, but was happy to see them giving away cute mini cupcakes at Streetfoodfest! Sampled ONE Banana Peanut Butter and ONE Red Velvet. Both were pretty yum, but not as memorable as i plowed through a bunch of other tasty samples from the foodfest. I wanted to try the other flavors, but by the time i got back to them they had already closed shop for the night! :( (reader: insert joke here on how i probably closed them down. !!)

My buddy follows the LA Food Truck twitter and saw that the cupcake truck was just right around the corner from where we were. Needless to say, we made a stop. I went off the girls recommendations and got the red velvet and banana peanut butter. Wow, great cupcakes! The presentation and preparation is definitely top notch and the cupcakes were a good size also. The taste — that’s what’s important — and it did not disappoint! The cream cheese frosting on the red velvet wasn’t too sweet and just right. Do yourself a favor and support the LA food trucks — I have no tie to them — just really like their food and hard work.

No no a-Go-Go! Booked their truck to come to our event 3 weeks in advance & they FLAKED the night before at 5pm. Lame excuse. Had to call my friend who runs the Food Truck Association for all of LA to help me find another truck to come out for us… THANKGOODNESSFORMRS. BEASLEY’S! Hire Beasley’s if you have an event– friendly staff & showed up early! Amazing treats too! Cupcakes-a-Go-Go is a no show. All I can say is BITEME.

I have to agree with Audrey L. on this one. I felt like i ate a cupcake from a mix. I was not at all happy with my strawberry cupcake that I bought from them. I couldn’t put a finger on what the taste I was tasting was, whether the frosting or the cake was the problem with this cupcake But in the end it was both. The price doesn’t help their cause either, for that price i’d go to sprinkles or get an ube cupcake from Manila Machine. The two women serving were very sweet and their presentation was too, but their product was not worth my time or money. So if I were you I’d skip this truck and go to a local bakery.

Cute little truck, cute little boxes, cute little cupcakes. and they taste great too! I got the Cookies and Cream Cupcake, which was a chocolate cupcake topped with a Oreo mix frosting, and a little half oreo slice on top. Price is a little extravagant, but it was pretty good :)

The cupcake business is a game that has been finding itself with more and more players, and not all of them good. However, Cupcakes a GoGo sets itself apart with sleek presentation, convenience of packaging, and quality of food. My Beautiful Meant to Be(henceforth referred to as BMTB) were walking the Downtown LA artwalk when we happened upon this truck. What we found most interesting, was that there seemed to be little cooking equipment to be found inside the truck, if at all. As far as we can tell, they do most of their baking at a home site, and prepackage all of the cupcakes before they ever set foot in the truck. This makes their delivery of the product quicker and easier. Their method of delivery was another special point of discussion. Each cupcake came prepackaged in a custom fold up box with wax paper wrapping and a metal handle(like a customized Chinese take-out box.) This was fortunate for the BMTB and I, as we didn’t plan on eating the cupcake until after we got home. Despite the jossling from walking through crowded streets, the cupcake stayed intact, and the icing didn’t make a mess in the box. My BMTB insisted on strawberry, and I’m glad she did. I usually go for vanilla cupcakes, but the strawberry had the right amount of tanginess that I was craving. Despite spending an extra couple of hours in transit, the cupcake retained its moisture and tastiness. If the cupcake had tasted like that after waiting for a while, I can only imagine what they taste like absolutely fresh. I would definitely recommend giving Cupcakes a Go Go a shot, even if only to compare their offerings to the other cupcake offerings out there.
