Best pizza I’ve found in LA and it’s vegan so no animals were harmed :) Ranch dressing is also delicious and garlicky, must try!

Walked here to pick up dinner one afternoon. The space is pretty dang small which isn’t much of a surprise to me because I figure people tend to call in their pizza orders and eat at home and elsewhere anyway. What sets Cruzer Pizza apart from other pizza spots is the fact that they solely make VEGAN pizzas. Every single item on their menu is dairy-free and vegan. Ordered a Philly Cheesesteak Pizza and Potato Wedges. The latter came with vegan ranch which I have to say is amazing. Couldn’t believe it was vegan because it tasted just like regular ranch. Game changer for sure. They didn’t have the friendliest workers here but it was dinnertime and there was only one person picking up phone call after phone call. I can imagine how flustered/frustrated she must have been. Ah well. We took our pizza + potato wedges up to Griffith Observatory and had an impromptu sunset/pizza date. Fun times. The pizza was delicious, even more so dipped in that vegan ranch! The potato wedges were already cold by the time we got around to eating them but eh, it was a chilly afternoon/night. They should totally sell that vegan ranch by the bottle though and make some more money off it! That or I just learn how to make it myself.

How does this place have such good reviews? We spent $ 45 for two COLDPIZZAS. And dry. Like they had been reheated and then cooled down and then reheated ALLDAY. Such a disappointment. And the costumer service was terrible. The delivery guy is nice but not the manager or owner or whoever he is. Honestly vegan pizza from the store is better unfortunately. I really don’t have that much more to say. I know I normally post longer reviews, but this place was just a disappointment. That’s a lot of money for stake tasting pizza and bad service. I’m in shock they have good reviews, but you’ll see their one star reviews mostly have the SAME problems I had.

Complete garbage. Look at the picture of our food that was delivered to us. I wouldn’t feed my dog this stuff. It looked like a stale 10 Year old Tombstone pizza from the freezer, Pierre! Tasted awful. I mean downright awful. The chicken sandwich literally had no meat in it. Very disappointed and honestly no way can I imagine such bad food from a 4.5 star place. Did these guys buy there reviews perhaps? I can’t tell you how bad this is. And I’m not one to post negative reviews(often). Salad was good. I mean how can you f**k that up! Prompt delivery. But seriously, the rest was absolute garbage. You should be ashamed of yourselves.

*REVIEWBASEDONPOSTMATESDELIVERY *Have never actually been to resto Newly vegan here and planned to have lunch with a non-vegan friend at Cruzer. Something came up so I decided to order delivery instead. Cruzer only delivers within a 4 mile radius so Postmates was an option as a first time user(who wants to drive @5pm in DTLA??). I ordered the cheese bread and the chicken parm sandwhich = $ 18 subtotal + ~$ 20 delivery via PM(thank goodness for a $ 10 promo code). paid = $ 30 Breadsticks Total of 4 thick, greasy rolls filled with what tasted like daiya cheese with a side of marinara and«ranch.» Upon first bite, it was tasty! Slowly I realized an odor(reminiscent of a dirty rag scent) coming from the rolls. I smelled the rest of the bread and it was consistent. Once I realized this meal was tainted or poorly handled, I closed the plastic container to seal in the odor and proceeded to never look back. Chicken parm sandwich I was really looking forward to this meal. It is a sad, sad sandwich that comes with measly pieces of «chicken», tomato, marinara, and lettuce. The bread itself was still toasty despite the marinara and drive time — but it tasted absolutely artificial. Too salty and a lack of flavor. The sandwich came with a side of potato chips which tasted like Lays(why???) and a veggie medley that had carrots, red bell pepper, and cauliflower. Here’s a thought: separate the containers to ensure each part of the meal is not affected by the other — chips became soggy due to the moisture from the vegetables although I had no intention of eating Lays chips nor did I want the side salad. If you claim to be the only vegan pizzeria, act like one. What’s up with the plastic containers and lack of creativity in meals? I’m disappointed, but it’s partly my fault too. I should never order take out unless I am CERTAIN that I’m going to love my meal. From the stench of(what I’m assuming to be old) bread and underwhelming sandwich and presentation, I can assume that this place is probably not rated«A» under health code. I wasn’t expecting a 5 star meal, but I was expecting it to smell as it should and taste above average. Although a total waste of $ 30 and my appetite, I’m glad I had this experience. I would have been far too embarrassed if I had taken my friend here. 2 stars for the effort. Seems like a business that isn’t willing to grow and improve(a business that doesn’t update their website??*based on phone call to restaurant) but as the only vegan place, I’d expect for it to at least attempt to remain competitive. If and when a new vegan pizza shop opens(with an actual dining space), it’ll sure topple this spot. Based on my unpleasant dining experience in attempting to devour their food, I will definitely not be a returning customer.

I was brought by a friend who is actually vegan. I, as a meat eater, was not very excited to have dinner here, but after taking a couple bites out of my first slice, I very much enjoyed the meal. We ordered a build your own pizza, in which my friend and I were both able to eat and still be satisfied at the end. We were also able to customize the pizza to our own liking, as in half of the pizza was mine and the others was here’s in terms of toppings. The breadsticks are fantastic!!! The only downside of this location was that it has no seating area, just one table and a very small bar area. Nevertheless, the pizza here was great and I would definitely come back again.

Cruzer pizza is a Los Angeles treasure. I don’t think I will be able to convey the amount of times I have been hungry, tired and desperately ordered a delivery meatball sub or BBQ chicken pizza from here. It’s phenomenal and I haven’t had anything from here that was anything less than delicious. True, they do use daiya which isn’t doing our bodies any favors, and there certainly are other vegan pizza options out there now(kite hill almond and cashew cheeses at Mohawk now, for example) but still, this place is great and simple. They recently added a buffalo chicken pizza that is my new favorite. I wouldn’t recommend the Philly cheesesteak pizza, however, because it’s not bad, but it’s misleading. There isn’t like a cheese sauce on it like I would expect, but there are just pieces of vegan steak, which is just OK. Prices are decent, the store is cute(blackboard walls) and delivery is usually quick. Check it out!

Cruzer has some amazing items on the menu, I haven’t tried anything yet that I didn’t just love, I would even feed this pizza to my non-vegan friends and expect only rave reviews. With that being said, the two drawbacks are the price(it’s crazy expensive) and the location. I live in West Hollywood so when we eat here we have to eat at the establishment and there isn’t really a seating area so it’s always a little uncomfortable to be there dining at the one tiny little table between the entrance and the employee kitchen door. We tend to just order Whole Foods vegan pizza, it’s like 18 inches for $ 14 which is incredibly affordable and is about half the cost of the same type/size pizza from Cruzer. I’ll still come back here often, I love the specialty pizzas esp the ones with meat alternatives which Whole Foods doesn’t offer. I also can’t wait to try the sub sandwiches.

My husband and I stopped in here for some vegan pizza before we went to a Dodgers game recently. It’s definitely more of a delivery place than sit-down, but the workers there are super friendly and they do have three bar seats and a small makeshift outside table. This place would be five stars for us if we were vegan and had a hard time eating pizza elsewhere. Given we’re not vegan, I definitely prefer regular cheese or a cheese-less spicy marinara pizza. Daiya cheese is likely the best vegan cheese I’ve had out there, but it’s the same amount of calories as regular cheese, but without the protein of it! It doesn’t melt quite as well as regular cheese either. All of that aside, Cruzer has a bunch of options with lots of different faux-meats as well. For people who are now vegan and used to not be, this is a paradise! They have about eight different pre-designed pizza combinations, but you can also build your own. The pizza is also well-priced for its size and amount of toppings. We didn’t try dessert but they also offer those. Certainly more of a delivery place if you live in the area, but definitely solid food and people.

I ordered delivery from this place on Unilocal. All I did was look for places that could deliver… I am vegan and I happened to see this place so I was going to get a vegan pizza but I ended up getting the cheese breadsticks and the Philly cheesesteak– and since it has to be 20 $ I got the cheesecake too(more on that later). Anyway, I left a cute note on the special accommodation part or whatever and I said they’re amazing and thanks. Then the food came like 30ish minutes later. I had to call them because I didn’t get a confirmation email from Unilocal and the girl on the phone was super nice. Then when the delivery guy came he was also super nice and they wrote back a nice note on my invoice because of my cute note(: then the delivery person said my dog was cute. 10⁄10 I am going to tell you this now: holy crap I’m so full. If my mouth could be horny, that’s how it would feel right now. hot damn. The cheese sticks are like FULL of cheese and so good and the cheesesteak has a her a generous amount of faux meat and cheese and it’s so good… and the damn cheesecake. Holy god. Wow. It’s so creamy and even though I didn’t really want to order more food, I’m kind of glad I had to because that cheesecake is better than any dairy cheesecake I ever had in my life. Jesus Christ. I am in a food coma. Good job, friends. I’ll be back. And with more cute notes. You’re amazing.

We love the salad and love the pizza but do not love the attitude. We have been regular customers for some time and recently drove out of our way to come pick up take out at 10.30pm(The stores listed hours say they close at 11pm). Upon turning up we were greeted with a somewhat annoyed: «Kitchen’s closed»… …even the hours posted on the door clearly say 11pm. This is not the way to treat regular customers guys. It’s rude. If you do not want to stay open until 11pm — that’s cool. Change your hours rather than treating your regular customers in an impolite way. Does not exactly make us excited to come back you know? Not a good way to run a business.

Cruzers pizza has become my pen pal. We chat all the time, they know my name and my regular, yet I’ve never been there in person. This review is based on food and delivery service(because I’m too fat to walk there). I absolutely adore their customer service and their pizza. If you’re looking for a tangy delicious pizza, the bbq chikin or Jamaican is the way to go. If you need a little spice in your life the Indian kima always spices up my life. If you have a beastly hunger-add some potato wedges to that shiznay. I love their customer service which makes this food even more satisfying. So do yourself a favor and just order potato wedges anyway.

Potentially the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had. The toppings, in addition to being on the generous side are all individually flavorful and of high quality. I ordered by pizza with the thin crust and I was blown away by how well it was executed. Overall a wonderful, wonderful pizza.

In the year that I have been living in LA county, I have found no better vegan pizza than Cruzer. They make a variety of amazingly satisfying and gourmet pizzas. They have all your favorites plus inventive and delicious new pies to try. The crust is top notch and the vegan meats are never over cooked to ensure the«cheese» melts. Every topping is cooked to perfection. The ambiance is perfect to run in and grab a pie to go. Or sit and eat a slice at the bar. They are fast and friendly. I highly recommend this pizza. As they showcase how wonderful vegan pizza can be.

Had the best vegan gluten free pizza ever! Quick story. I was craving some vegan pizza after my hike at Griffith. I saw the Unilocal reviews for Cruzer and decided to check them out. I was a bit upset that they didn’t do slices and decided to go for the 7 inch pie(gluten free with sausage, jalapeño, and spinach) since it seemed like the smallest option. Since I also bought their vegan carrot cake, I thought I’d split the calories and drive all the way to Van Nuys to eat it with a girlfriend. I’m usually underwhelmed by gluten-free crust options, but this one was flawless… Amazing… A hint of sweetness and not crunchy and dry at all… It was perfection. After my first bite I knew I made a horrible mistake and it would be way too rude to give her the«bye Felicia», close the pizza box, and head home. As we both inhaled our half of the pizza and cake(cake was amazing too) I contemplated driving back to the shop and ordering another pie to finish at home, alone… It was THAT damn good. Thankfully I had a shoot at Griffith Park two days later… Flew to Cruzer afterwards for the same pie, this time a 10″. I ate the whole damn thing alone in my car in front of the shop. I have to admit, it wasn’t my proudest moment… Will I come back again? Hell yes! Next one I’m trying is the Pesto. I’ll try to be good and split it, but I ain’t making no promises… Downside: Their parking lot has basically 2⁄3 available spaces and if they’re full you’ll have to drive around depending on the time of day. No bathroom for customers… But they’re a small location and you can find one in another restaurant nearby.

MmmmHmmm… Have ordered from here a few times… Always quick and friendly over the phone and always on time! I tried their delicious Vegan Pizzas, the Calzone, the(Fake)Meatballs Pasta… And even has the surprisingly super delicious Vegan Chocolate Chip Cheesecake. Excellent menu with plenty to chose from. Their pizza selection is ridiculous, I WILL try them all. Everything I’ve had from here has been stupid tasty… And Vegan. That’s a Must these days, right? Fuckin awesome!

Huge disappointment. I thought I would check this place out based on all the good reviews. I got the Jamaican pizza, and it was truly terrible. The sweet teriyaki sauce used doesn’t seem like it belongs on any pizza because the flavors just did not mix well at all. Worst of all, this place has some of the most expensive pizza prices I’ve ever encountered.

I ordered the chicken barbecue pizza on gluten free crusts, and the tiramisu. Both were AMAZING!!! The pizza was fresh and delicious, probably the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had. The tiramisu was also great, which was a pleasant surprise since I didn’t expect it to be sooo good. I think I’ve found my new Pizza place in LA! Another plus is they have gluten free pasta, so I will be trying that next!

If you are hungry for pizza but you don’t want to feel guilty this is the place to get it. I love this vegan pizzas even though I’m not vegan and I love meat. Stuffs are super nice and friendly as well. Example I ordered a pick up tonight and when I got home I found out they forgot to put my ranch in the bag«which is You Must Try». So I called to let them know and they immediately delivered to me in the cold weather and rain before I had my second bite. Thank you.

Cruzer pumps out tasty gluten-free and vegetarian pizza, but they need to work on their delivery times. Props to them for being open on New Years day. A combination of post-NYE lethargy and introducing my family to LA eats had me dialing Cruzer. The pizza is high quality, with fresh ingredients — their BBQ ‘chicken’ won the minds(but sadly, not hearts) of some die-hard carnivores. 2×16″ XL pies comfortably fed 6 folks, at ~$ 25/pizza(pricey, minus 1 star). Avoid the wedges — they’re mediocre, but try and get the ranch as a side. Makes a great dipping sauce for your crusts(and completely ruins any resolutions you’ve made for 2016). Sadly, delivery was shockingly long(1.5 hr+, and we live about 3 miles away from them). Fix this, and they’re borderline 4-star. But make a great gateway item for vegan-suspicious out-of-towners.

My friend and I went here for lunch before a concert on the 12th, and it was probably one of the best ideas we’ve ever had! Service was quick and the staff was friendly, they recommended the pesto pizza and it was delicious! We added vegan pepperoni(first time having it, think of a mix between crispy bologna with a smoky bacon flavor), which was a nice little compliment to the pesto and the cheese. I loved the dough; just the right amount of crisp but still soft and fluffy to the bite. We’ll definitely be going back next time we’re in LA!

I thought the pizza was good, nothing spectacular. I personally prefer pizzanista. I ordered the pizza with chicken and it was pretty bland, just regular old pizza and it was light on the cheese. I also ordered the cheese-filled breadsticks and they were also okay. Not a lot of flavor. They definitely could use some seasoning or garlic sauce.

I’m gonna have to go Larry David and say that this pizza is prittay prittay prittay good. I’ve heard from too many people that Cruzer has amazing vegan pizza. So one night, instead of calling my regular spot Tomato Pie, I threw caution to the wind and ordered a pesto pizza with mushrooms. It arrived quickly, and piping hot. The Daiya cheese is pretty damn melty, and tastes more like regular cheese than any other vegan one I’ve sampled. All in all its a great place to order from if you want to try something different(not sure how much healthier it really is) or if you’re entertaining vegans or vegetarians. Four stars instead of five because the guy on the phone I ordered from was a rude Gus. Like, incredibly rude.

If I could give the ranch 10 stars I would. The other day I ordered delivery through the grub hub app — but it quoted me an hour and 20 mins for delivery which was going to not work out with my timeline for the night. I called grub hub and explained that I just needed it in an hour max otherwise I needed to cancel the order since I had to scarf something down and leave for an event asap. They delivered in 30 mins! That was the best customer service I’ve received in a long time!

Wow. Why are you still looking at reviews? Order now!!! Seriously though, just picked up the gourmet pesto and bbq chicken pizza with a side of breadsticks… AMAZING! With some vegan substitutes it’s hit or miss but OMG they have perfected these babies to a T, and even better because they’re plant-based. Definitely a place to pick up and go or order delivery, not too much seating but that doesn’t matter because this pizza is so good. Worth the money you won’t regret it!

I don’t understand these reviews that aren’t 5 stars, maybe you just went on a bad night or something? This place is AMAZING! I’m fairly picky too. I’ve ordered take out multiple times, and everything has always been incredibly delicious. I have had the pesto pizza, the bread steaks, potato wedges, potato skins, ranch, both salads, and their Clara’s cupcakes. It’s all just heavenly. The ranch tastes like the fancy homemade buttermilk ranch you would get at restaurants,(no gross smell or after taste like some vegan ranches, I happily order extra sides for ONLY $ 1 each for large portions to have for dipping), and their marina sauce is so incredibly flavorful and fresh tasting. Those bread sticks, do not get me started on the cheese filled bread sticks. They are better than Fazolis or Olive Garden’s. Incredibly soft, fragrant of fresh bread, and oozing with cheese, with a light glaze of a garlic butter to make them glisten and add another dimension of flavor. Amazing when dipped in their ranch, or their marina. The potato wedges are more like fries with cheese, but my boyfriend devours them. I prefer the marina filled potato skins, dipped in the incredible ranch. YUM. They don’t offer the best value compared to the bread sticks, but good for a splurge now and then. Their salads are a great value for the size and quality of ingredients. They easily customize if asked, and are a perfect healthier side option for all the delicious carb loaded things. I’m not a huge salad person, but I always get at least one salad. And… THEYHAVECALZONES! Where else can you get a custom vegan calzone? NOWHERE! After not having a calzone for over 5 years since I went vegan, I was shocked to see calzones listed on the menu last night for only $ 7 for cheese only, and $ 1 for each additional topping. What a great deal! The calzone was easily on par with something from Old Chicago’s, and was ginormous. I was so happy to eat my pineapple, onion, bell pepper, artichoke, and tomato calzone. It had the same soft bread of the bread sticks. They stuff em too with toppings, don’t skimp. The owner is incredibly kind, he through in a free marina sauce and offered us a free cupcake with our $ 75 order while we waited. He was incredibly passionate about his business, veganism, and enthusiastically shared his plans with us to expand the menu. Just a great place all around.

5-Star Pizza When You Dine In. 1-Star Pizza if You Get it Delivered! The delivery service is what knocked down my rating. My Dine-In, Carry Out Experience Excellent vegan pizza! I love the fact that they have vegan«pepperoni», «sausage», and«ham» options! The service during the visit was friendly and prompt! Visiting the parlor met all of my expectations in a vegan pizza, and I like the fact they are located in Los Feliz! My Delivery Experience Now. Here is the reason why I’m not giving 5 stars, and where the conflict comes in. The delivery service SUCKS! The pizza was an hour late, cold, and not what I ordered after going over the order with the guy twice! When I called to notify them of the wrong order, they just said they’d give me a 20% discount on my next order, but didn’t ask me for my info or anything. Overall, I suggest if you want to try this place at its best, pick up your own order! The pizza taste good when it’s hot and they give you what you asked for.

Alright I shall bump this up to 5 star. Went on a pizza hop this weekend — trying hella pizza in one day because why feel fat when you could be fat. SURPRISINGLY the vegan pizza won as favorite pizza of the day. God meat why are you betraying me like this! Got the BBQ chicken again, so freaking good. The ranch here has got to be my favorite ranch in the world too. Sucks there isn’t a lot of room to sit — one table outside and a few stools inside. Or does it suck? This just gives me an excuse to never leave my house, cat or netflix.

100% Vegan Pizza joint in Los Feliz! Not only is this place delicious but the workers here are very sweet. Cruzers is the only 100% Animal Free Vegan pizzeria in Los Angeles. You have the option of ordering a 12″, 14″ or 16″ pizza. My boyfriend & I shared the 14″ pizza(which was plenty). They have lots of vegan options for toppings, such as, vegan sausage, vegan pepperoni, vegan ham, etc. We got artichokes & jalapeño. The pizza was VERY, VERY good, I was surprised by how tasty it was. My favorite was the tomato sauce & the Daiya cheese. I seriously cannot wait to come back. They have a small sitting area(not big, i recommend picking up). We were able to find street parking, they do have a small parking lot(for 2 cars). Overall, I definitely recommend this place(whether you’re vegan or not) Can’t wait to go back! xo Naomi
