The food is pretty good and the prices are great for what your getting but the service is terrible! The cooks are rude and they have no problem being rude right to ur face trust me. Other than that it’s a cool place to check out and eat if ur on a lunch break or need to eat quickly.

Lots of choices for breakfast and lunch. Quite place. Had a diet veggie burrito for $ 4.75. 5min walking distance from the $ 30 Westin Bonaventure buffet.

I got tired of Trimana, and decided to venture out. Thanks to another Unilocaler for posting this place. Since it is the café within an office building, I never would have found it. The best thing about it, is its ambiance. It’s a spacious café, with a TV room, places to eat lunch with your laptop, and common areas for you to eat with friends. It’s regular building café food, but it works.

Don’t recommend for breakfast, eggs tasted fishy, potatoes okay and the sad thing is the toast was the best part. Somehow even the orange juice in a bottle was bad, warm while sitting in the refrigerator. This is the first time Unilocal has failed me, so I have to leave a bad review so others won’t make the same mistake.

This place is a amazing. hidden lil spot I had been walking past for months and never knew was there! Had an amazing HUGE breakfast burrito that I can say is the BEST I have had downtown and I do a lot of searching for a good one… and the price is the best around. I can’t wait to try out something for lunch the next time I come through…

CASHONLY! 3.5. This is solid little café with good lunch specials. It’s where folks from my office building tend to go to escape the Trimana monopoly because the walk is short and those with a half hour lunch can still eat with enough time to get back. I like their good ol’ American stick-to-your bones type dishes like Salisbury steak or burger and fries. I tried their pastrami sandwich once and was not impressed(you just DONOT put mayo or american cheese on a pastrami sandy). I also had a decent chicken cutlet with a not-spicy curry sauce and Chinese chicken salad. I’d say you’re in good shape as long as you stick with the specials and travel to Langer’s to get your pastrami. The prices are also a double-plus. Not the best food in the area, but the best food that’s quick, cheap, and within quick walking distance to the Figueroa Plaza complex.

Apparently not that many people know about this spot because I’ve checked in there twice on foursquare and I was already competing for the mayorship. Overall: Solid, hearty, hot food choices with a regular menu and rotating daily specials. Reasonable prices. You’ll find things like chicken parm, fish and vegetables, soups, double cheeseburgers… basically, dorm/hospital type food. Jose, the main chef dude, is the man. Can always count on him for a delicious breakfast burrito if I stop by in the morning and they’re pretty generous with the portion sizing if I swing over for lunch in the afternoon. Remember, like everyone else has probably mentioned, it’s CASHONLY and they close at 3.

CASHONLY! The food was way better than i ever expected from a small building café. They have a pretty good breakfast and lunch menu. Coffee and pastries, and even Yogurt for sell. Theyre prices are way super low which im sure is related to them not accepting credit cards. I got a veggie burger/fries/soda lunch meal for just $ 5.50. coffee is only $ 1.40…and its not bad too.

Walked in at 10:51am to possibly grab a sandwich and promptly walked out after watching the cook eating over the prepared food line. If you aren’t aware, reader, that is against health code, and for really good reasons.

This Café is in the California National Bank’s Complex, but open to the public. The Chefs are very professional and try to make every dish elegant. It is a small cafeteria with a salad, sandwich and grill bar. The inside is tastefully decorated and the prices are extremely reasonable. They always have lunch specials. Beautiful tossed salads are $ 5.75 and come on square plates. Burgers and fries are about $ 5.50. You can get sandwiches for the same range. Their lunch Specials range from $ 6 — $ 7.50 and usually feature fish or premium meat. It is a total bargain for hungry Unilocalers who work in Downtown LA.
