Fantastic place. Went here to buy a skateboard and really impressed by how helpful and friendly the staff were, while also clearly really knowing their stuff! Great selection of really cool board designs. If you are looking for an all-around great, authentic, non-touristy and non-standardized skate shop look no further!

What a great place… Heard about this spot opening near my apartment and never went in until earlier this month to find a birthday gift for my boyfriend. He skateboards a lot and knowing NOTHING about that whole scene, I decided to try my luck here. Really great decision. The store itself is beautiful, spacious and full of natural light like a showroom. Skateboard decks with all kinds of designs line the walls and are hung up like artwork, there are simple displays with apparel and accessories, etc. There were two guys working and upon explaining to them my situation of wanting to get a killer gift and supreme girlfriend points, they had many suggestions for me. I settled with a skateboard deck that turned out being an original art design by one of the store guy’s close friends, and acouple shirts, one being an original t-shirt from the shop. I even found a cute pin of a palm tree that says«forever» that is now on my backpack and I got to chill on the couch and browse through the zines they had available.(i love zines!) Also they have a big selection of really funky socks with silly designs that I think I might have to come back for. Really cool experience and I definitely felt a community vibe here. My boyfriend loved the gifts and the fact that original art was on his board and not some heavily reproduced design from the mall or something. We are so coming back. Highly suggest checking this place out whether you’re into skateboarding or not. Way cool

This place isn’t much of a skate shop. It’s more like a hipster art gallery. I mean, if you wanted to get a complete setup and some other shit the pickings are pretty slim around here. I hope the days of skaters drinking 40s and stealing your grandparents medication isn’t over. I think my idea of a skate shop may be a little dated. I saw a pair of pants/jeans with elastic waistbands for sale in there that nobody in their damn mind would wear… Besides the guy who works there who was walking around in a pair haha. The place is clean though.

Good brands, good people, and great location. By setting a high standard for their goods, they’ve created a store with a limited selection in the best way possible.

I have been moaning about the closing of Nine-Star for years now, West LA’s super chill skate shop of yore, when I heard about COURTHOUSE — the skate shop. Smallish but very cool board selection, trucks, wheel, etc. Hard to find but actually pretty near the Courthouse skate spot. Good hang space.
