If I could give zero or even negative stars to this place, I would. Their food is way too salty with practically no side dishes that come with the order. Their staff is awful and do not know how to treat a customer. Trust me, you wouldn’t want to spend a penny buying food from this place. There are way better options to get food from the same food court.

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to go to crystal spa upstairs or Zion market downstairs but let’s eat first… The first place that caught my attention ! Lots of menus to choose from. You can never go wrong with what you choose that day. Fast and friendly service !! Food tastes good too!‘ Coming back to try their other dishes’

We went here for lunch and the serving was big. I also liked that the meal was fresh, which was a very good thing to see. Also, it’s a food court so there’s more restaurants than this place and it’s very good for the family to try different Korean foods!

I’ve come here quite a few times, but the food isn’t as good as it used to be. The main thing this place has going for it is convenience. The prices are fairly reasonable, and food is average. My favorite item here is the beef bibimbap on a hot plate, it’s good and a generous portion for about $ 10, although I’ve noticed the order becoming smaller and smaller each time I’ve ordered it. They also have some bulgogi or fish and soup combos also for about $ 10. I like that this place is in a mall with validated parking and also where the Zion Market is, which makes it easy to grab a bite and pick up some things at the market. It’s located in a food court so if you’re dining alone and don’t want to sit in a restaurant, you can come here for a quick meal. If you have more time to eat at a restaurant nearby, you’d probably spend about the same amount of money but get better food and more banchan(complimentary appetizers).

Came upon this neat plaza and decided to try out their bbq short ribs. The price is pretty standard, $ 14.99 for a combo that comes with soup, a couple of banchan dishes, and rice(some purple rice with grain). You can also get plastic cups for water, which is complementary — from observing other patrons. They validate for 2-hour parking at their parking structure. The taste of the bbq short ribs were okay, pretty standard sauce with more fat on the meat than I would’ve liked, but not bad. The food court that they are located in looks pretty clean, with white tables and floor. However, they should really clean alongside the table — it’s sort of filthy when we wiped it down, and the baby chair was not clean either. Overall, an okay meal. if I were to come to the plaza again, I might try another dish from Corea BBQ.

Over a year ago one of my friends recommended a cool spot to hang out. It’s one of those places inside the food court called Corea BBQ. We used to hang out there during her break between classes when she was still in school near by and I’m hooked ever since. On those days when you don’t really know what to have for lunch, I drive myself to Korea Town. To food court on a second level at Zion market to be exact, ha. I like how they serve fresh ingredients. The dish that I always get comes with assorted sashimi, mixed veggies, two side dishes, tempura, rice and soup. Omg, where else can you get all these for $ 10? If there’s any, I’d like to go try. Until then, I’ll just stick to my favorite Corea BBQ first!

Pizza is pizza. No matter what you do to it, it will still be pizza. The same goes for Hwe-dup-bap. No matter what you put in there, it will not change its identity. Sorry Hwe-dup-bap, you are born this way. But why? It’s the sesame oil and chochang(watered down gochuchang with added sugar). They are the two main necessary ingredients and boy they strong. They will kill and mask all the delicate flavors of any quality ingredients you throw in. Some higher-end restaurants throw in toro, uni, awabi, sweet shrimp and etc and charge $ 90(Sushi Cho at Western Chosun Hotel or Ariake in Shinla Hotel), which I thought was absolutely ridiculous. It’s like throwing caviar in pizza sauce. Anyway, when it comes to Hwe-dup-bap, I think it is important to know the limit of what it can be and have an idea to make the best out of it. Corea BBQ in City Center on 6th seems to know that exactly. Straight up they don’t use quality fish in the bowl. Only izumidai and salmon. Wow that was smart. Yea if you are not gonna taste any, then why use it? These two offer two distinct textures of raw fish(izumidai offers more resistance while salmon kind of melts), and that’s enough. And they have tons of veggies each of which offer unique textures and bitterness that nicely balance out with the sweetness of chochang sauce. They chopped the veggies uniquely for each kind so that it is easy for you to chomp down and appreciate the texture. They really did make the best out of given ingredients I thought. The tempura was big let-down though. Batter was too thick and I think they need to fry them at higher temperature. It was soggy with oil. Anyway, good Hwe-dup-bap for sure.

Great price, big portion, healthy and delicious! I forgot what the name is but the spicy pork soup is my favorite! When I crave Korean food I usually come here to eat! My least favorite is the pork cutlet but it’s still delicious~!

The food here is just really OK for me, but I don’t want to give a lower rating because I think the women are very sweet and also work hard. They usually give you about 3 side dishes with your food. The radish and kimchi are really nothing special in my opinion, but they also don’t SUCK. Choice of brown or white rice. The brown rice is yummy with the beans in them. BBQ Ribs — these were marinated well, but the texture was not the best. My onions on the skillet were also not cooked very well, or at all which leads me to question which bother? I had to steal the onions from my friend’s chow mein dish. Tofu Soup — Do not get this here. I was craving BCD that day, but my co workers and I were far too lazy to make the trip. I settled for this thinking it can’t be all that bad, but it just was not good. I couldn’t even finish half of it. Bulgogi — This will probably be something I try here again, if I must. It wasn’t half bad and I was able to finish everything. The staff is very nice and if you approach them nicely, they will gladly give you to go boxes and sometimes will help you pack your food as well. Sorry Corea BBQ, but I think it’s time for me to venture on to the other stalls in this food court!

I ordered Ddeokboki. The dish consists of: A lot of vegetables, seven small rice cakes, and three fish cakes. It is eight dollars!!! The menu should be fixed: DISGUSTINGVEGGIES.

How good something is depends on a few conditions. Sometimes it’s your surroundings, or the company you eat with. Sometimes it’s just the time and place. Would a bowl of Phở taste as good during the summer as it does when you are freezing in the winter? Would a dirty dog in LA taste as good in the middle of the day? For lunch, I would say that Corea BBQ is great. I think it helps that it is located in a Korean food plaza, with everyone pretty much serving the same thing. That means A. Price is competitive and B. Quality is constant. That is the magic of competition. Sure you can probably get better Korean food at a restaurant, but how many of you would go to a restaurant for lunch? Here you get your food FAST, there is plenty of self seating, and you don’t have break the bank. I went with the Beef Rib Soup(Galbi Tang?) which cost a grand total of around $ 9. That’s a steal if you ask me. It came out pretty quick and was still boiling in its stone pot(which caused me to burn my tongue so please be careful). They gave a good amount of meat, which was still on the bone so be prepared to gnaw it off like a carnivore. The soup had a good rich flavor which is good cause I love to drink soup. There was also a lot of glass noodles. In addition, you get a bowl of rice and 3 side dishes of kimchi, radish, and seaweed(SWEET). I was very satisfied and full. Would come here again for lunch!

Quick and good Korean food for sit down or to go. This is the place, I love korean tofu soup but I don’t always have someone down to go. Corea BBQ is great because it’s in the food court and the menu was well priced. I enjoyed a few side dishes they provided: kimchi, spiced radish, and broccoli with sauce. The tofu medium spicy mushroom soup with a bowl of rice, I was full and happy afterwards. All for about $ 7.

Got the Omelete Rice to share with my friend. It was a fun experience trying to eat this«sleeping bag» but the rice inside was only okay. Guess it’s more like homestyle Korean food. Way too much food even for us two. Glad we tried it but not going to get it again. Our friends got other things on the menu like the dishes with BBQ beef or tempura(not sure exactly what they got) and they liked those. May be back to try other things on the menu.

First time trying food from the food court at the plaza and I’ve heard good things about them from number of people. Decided to try this place since I was looking for lighter option since I didn’t want food coma prior to work. Whedupbap~ mixed veggies and rice with sashimi and what I opted for and it was decent. Portion is HUGE! enough to feed 2 ppl imo. And lot of extra side dishes.

I’m such a fan of food courts. I was surprised, however, to find such a complete menu at a food court restaurant like Corea BBQ. It is a little bit pricey but you get a huge portion of food. I ordered the Dol Sot Bibimbap or the mixed rice in hot stone pot. I was wondering how they were going to serve it. It turns out they do it just like in a full service restaurant with several side dishes and soup along with the rice and mixes in the hot stone pot. The tray was so heavy that it was hard to carry. The bibimbap tasted great but it was a little too greasy with the oil they use to grease the hot stone pot. Their side dishes are actually pretty good. I especially liked the radish kimchi. There are so many other restaurants in the same food court. I will definitely come back to try some of the other restaurants.

After coming out of the Crystal Spa, my Mom and I decided to eat here since I’ve read from other fellow Unilocalers that the food prices in the Crystal Spa Café were pricey, and they are! Plus, after lunch, my Mom and I wanted to check out the Zion Market. We ended up getting the Beef Short Rib Combo with Tofu Seafood Soup for $ 12.95, and my Mom just got a Tofu Seafood Soup for $ 5.75(their special deals posted on the right side above the soda fountain — totally didn’t notice that until after we were seated and my Mom had pointed it out to me). We asked for mild Tofu Seafood Soup, and it was really good! Two big pieces of shrimps as well as clams and other assorted seafood items. The tofu was soup and yummy, and on the bottom, I was able to get some burnt tofu, and so that was awesome! Comes with a bowl of rice, and the banchan side dishes were yummy, and you can always ask for more. My Mom totally dug the pickled radish(or daikon, I believe). One star off for the ribs — they were great, but kind of chewy, and the plate was kind of small as compared to the other dishes they had showing in their food case. Total for all food was $ 20.34. You seat yourself, and leave it there for the busboys to come clean it up. Cheap, affordable lunch on the 2nd Level of the Mall, especially after a good sweaty time at the Crystal Spa.

They have some pretty good deals on their specials. got their $ 9 combo: mushroom tofu soup — just realized they did not give eggs in your tofu soup. It wasn’t particularly great. and was swimming in an odd texture of really red and yellow. Funny thing, it didn’t taste as spicy as it looked.. overall meh. pike mackerel(2) — not bad… but they were charred… the meat wasn’t affected but the skin does stick to the meat so you do taste the charring. banchans — did not look fresh. I tried it… did not taste fresh. I guess I was expecting too much? purple rice — not bad. .it’s rice. =P At least they give you purple rice! It’s more expensive than white rice. =) Food came in 15 minutes. which was perfect cuz it gave me time to pick up groceries at my favorite supermarket — Zion, downstairs. . Everything was okay. until. well I think I got food«poisoning» from the meal. My stomach was uneasy for quite awhile.
