Recently we went here for some meat and the deli guy does not let you see the scale. My husband got some chicken kebabs and the guy overcharged him, but of course the scale LED window is not facing the customer. We have never seen green onions on display, ever and wondered about it. When you ask for green onions they bring out this old stuff. Seriously? Is there a black market in green onions and do we need some secret handshake and password? We bought the regular lavash bread there today to serve at dinner and it was stale. Come on Commerce: clean it up. I guess they feel that the neighborhood is a captive audience, but you will still find us at the Foothill Food Market up on Foothill where the food is fresh and we never had any cheating/stale products.

I was walking my dog along Commerce one day and strolled by here. The older Armenian man is always so nice and friendly! He makes me smile with his compliments. They have a lot of Armenian foods and produce. I normally just come in for Redbull or cigarettes but if I want to try and make something from Middle East I would most definitely purchase ingredients from here. Yay you little old Armenian dude, you’re awesome!
