Caren and Andy are the co-owners of this catering/cooking school/artisanal wares & foods establishment in the heart of Sherman Oaks. Offering everything from sushi class to chicken fabrication to kids cooking camp, these two run a fast-paced, hands-on, full immersion three-hour session. The prices very fair considering the instruction as well as the quality & bounty of food offered. The space is massive, updated and immaculately clean(at least prior to the cooking classes, heh heh). Caren is approachable and Andy imparts knowledge while both share from experience, providing students use of high-end equipment, including knives(you must sign a waiver). They also offer private lessons at a higher rate; worth looking into if you’re more serious about technique and skillset. This is a great complement to the burgeoning Sherman Oaks culinary scene and with the right momentum, could be a stalwart for the next generation’s Valley chefs.
