I’ve been to this place a few times with friends after lunch. Most of the times we came here for coffee or shaved ice thing. Most of the times we walk straight to the patio. The patio here is quite unique with trees in large pots and pond. It didn’t look like well kept or well planned back yard, but more relaxed style… As always coffee came in thermo, Korean style shaved ice was super huge and waffle with fruit was tasty. Group of people can sit & talk loud for a long time with just few thermos… Service was friendly.

PARKING: Street parking/valet parking for 2 $. PLACE: I like the place alot, i think is very korean, cute and the very relaxing except when it get busy it can be noisy. there is an indoor area and outdoor where they are gardens and landscape. its pretty clean when i came there and bathroom is nice. and i like that they have small vanity lol vanity duh what am i saying inside the bathroom lol. but well there is a place where you can place your bag sort of like that. its alot of seating outside. blanket is available if you request in chilly night. although some of the heater doesnt work so i guess they need to fix that! SERVICE: The staff are pretty quick, you just have to click the buttom in the table and your number will pop out in the screen hanging on the tree lol. they can be slow when it gets busy especially at night. FOOD: hmmm not a fan but i like the place 1. coffee — i tried the heyri coffee and its good, the mocha coffee is just a meehh to me 2. cheese cake — actually this is the worst cheese i ever had in my life. its very dry and taste old. it taste like its been in the counter for so long. it taste old and even the edges of the cheese cake is turning againts my teeth. well i guess i they either serve me an old cake or its simply i dont recommend cheese cake desert in this place .now i have more doubt in there desert menu 3. Dduk-bbokki — i like this. its actually huge serving good for 3 to 4 depending how big is your appetite. i like the spice and lots of seafood, fish cake and i like the taste a lot not to spicy perfect enough for my taste. and alot of cheese too although cheese is not the best quality but oh well its pretty affordable, i think for the price is pretty good.

Roaches. It was cold, we asked for the fire pit in the middle of the table to be lit, then came the cockroaches. At first, it was a tiny one. Crawled up out of the corner of the pit about ten minutes after it was lit. I guess the warmth woke it up. So I just flicked it back into the pit. Twenty minutes later, friend came back from the bathroom and spotted the little shadow I saw earlier on another friend’s back moving up towards his neck. Sweater flung, feet dancing, yet we still decide to stay for our drinks and desserts. Hey the string-light decorated backyard home feel was pretty cool. Another ten minutes, and this time, it’s bigger and too close to one of our bags. Jumped out of our seats, grabbed the bag, and got the hell out of there. The staff apparently knows of the infestation and suggests we sit indoors next time. Yeah. Oh-kay.

Another over-priced, excessively decorated, and dim-lit Koreatown café. They don’t have anything special that sets them apart from the other cafes, so I don’t see myself ever wanting to come back here again. *Waffles with two scoop of ice cream: Waffles were cooked very well and it paired well with the vanilla ice cream. They literally only gave one strawberry and a few small pieces of a banana. The other scoop of green tea ice cream was awful and tasted rotten. *Heyri coffee: I liked that the coffee came out in small tumblers. It was nice that the entire contents of the coffee isn’t sitting out to cool and that you get to pour little here & there to enjoy hot coffee all throughout. Service was alright. They were sweet when we could get a hold of them, but most of the time they were non-existent.

This is the worst coffee shop I ever visited. First of all, this place must pay attention to the sanitary condition. All the coffee mugs they are serving are not cleaned well, all the cups and cup handles are so sticky from not washing them properly. Other thing is that there was a 10% coupon offered at Unilocal and when I check in but they said they don’t accept what they are currently offering at Unilocal. How rude. I asked for a manager but not available, so I asked for the assistant manager but again not available either. I never have been to the place run by only staffs without someone in charge. I will never come to this place again. I wish I could give –1 star if I could do.

Not my first time here, but probably my last. They turned on the fire pit in the middle of the table, since it was really cold that night. Then we see, not one, but TWO cockroaches saunter out from the area surrounding the fire pit. We expressed our concerns to the waiter, but he said that no matter what they try to do, they can’t get rid of the outside cockroaches. The fact that he didn’t seem fazed at all was laughable. We left immediately. The drinks are a bit overpriced. The outside of the café has Christmas lights, giving it mood lighting. The crowd is on the older side. Many groups of older Korean men and women. If you’re in your 20s or 30s, this is probably not your scene, unless you’re in the neighborhood and don’t want to travel a few minutes north. There are better cafes with similar seating or atmosphere, like yellow house café, and drink prices without cockroaches.

I recently visited Heyri for the first time in about a year… I must say that the quality of the food is more mediocre than I remember. I also don’t remember the prices of the drinks being so high. As much as I love a good sweet potato latte, I don’t think it should be more than $ 6. I’m rating this place 3 stars because the ambiance is mostly the only thing that will keep me coming back. The outdoor seating area is heated and very romantic with all of the lights. It’s a great spot for a date, or to loiter and lounge with a group of friends.

I came here once with a few coworkers after some ayce sushi and arrived here around probably 9 or 10pm. I wanted to bring a few other friends a couple of times, but the first time i brought them to heyri, they an employee said they were already closed even though Unilocal says they’re open until 2am. We even heard a bunch of people in the back talking and music playing. I decided to try again this time with the same group but decided to call in to check the hours before driving there. Called before 10pm but An employee picked up and said they’re already closing. Again, Unilocal says they’re open until 2am. Does anyone know what their actual closing hours are looool They should really update their hours on Unilocal and on their door.

Café Heyri is one of my favorite cafes in Koreatown mainly because of the layout and design of this place. It looks like a house from the outside and the back outdoor seating area looks like a tropical jungle or garden with water fountains, decorative lights, and patio seatings– it’s beautiful! Their menu ranges from coffee beverages, teas, smoothies, to desserts, and food such as pastas and wraps if you’re feeling hungry. However, their food isn’t something all that spectacular so don’t expect so much out of it. But it’s definitely the place to go after dining elsewhere. It’s a great place to take a girl on a date for it’s romantic ambience or if you just want to have some quality time with your friends while sipping on some nice, hot green tea latte. They also provide blankets if you’re sitting outside and feeling a bit chilly. I recently discovered one of the best desserts ever during the summer at Heyri and that is their watermelon bingsoo! I posted a picture of it, too. It’s absolutely deeee-licious and super refreshing during the hot summer days!!! It’s seasonal only so please don’t forget to take advantage of it when it’s around. You’ll thank me when you do. It’s huge and can be shared amongst 2 – 4 people. I’m drooling thinking about it now. So make sure to keep Heyri on your list to go to next time you’re around the area!

I’d visit for the ambiance but that’s really the only thing they have going for them. They were lacking in customer service, food & drinks are very expensive, and everything was really just mediocre. I visited several days ago with a few of my friends. I ordered a green tea latte while my friends opted for a hazelnut latte and two sweet potato lattes($ 6-$ 7 each wut) and shared a Green Tea shaved ice($ 14). For the price you would assume that the drinks would be something special but they were just OK, pretty standard. As for the shaved ice… I don’t recommend getting this. We had a few spoonfuls but it didn’t taste right so we couldnt even finish it. Customer service is slow and it’s hard to get their attention. We asked for our check probably 3 times before they actually brought it to us. The ambiance was nice! It looked like something straight out of a Korean drama. They had string lights, lots of greenery, and a small pool in the middle. A nice place to chill but the ambiance doesn’t justify for their overpriced drinks and desserts.

Overall a very avg café in my opinion Food was very expensive and tasted quite average They did not have any outlets for the few tables that were inside, and the tables outside are dimly lit, making it an awful place to try and study at night Parking is valet, but I got lucky and found street parking Overall the ambiance is more for those who want to come and talk and I don’t think I will be coming back here any time soon

I only give high ratings to places where the food is exceptional. Giving it a 3 is already pretty generous but I what can I say? I liked the décor. The outdoor seating with the small fountain, foliage, and hanging lights certainly created a romantic atmosphere that seemed to jump straight out of some Korean drama. This was a cool unexpected discovery and could be a nice place to hang out with intimate friends or even bring a date since they have secluded spots hidden behind bushes and trees. However, what is a café if not for its food and drinks. Everything was fine, standard, bordering on mediocre. The appetizer sampler 100% came out of a frozen bag. The prices are also a tad bit ridiculous. Over $ 6.00 for a tiny glass of milk tea? Unless you are giving me quality red tea that you imported from Japan, nothing justifies that kind of price. Like I said, it was a happy discovery that I made with friends while wondering the area. Will I ever go back? Probably not. I just can’t get over the high prices for food that was just okay. But hey! If you want to experience a little bit of a Korean drama yourself and you can afford it, then by all means go and enjoy.

This place is VERY pricey… A drink is $ 7… For a regular cup size. However, I think their shaved ice is pretty worth because they serve large portions, and they’re nicely decorated. Definitely Instagram worthy. I haven’t tried the food, but maybe one day if I have easy money to lose paying for their expensive food. I believe everything is expensive because you’re paying for the ambience. It is definitely some place you would go to on a date or a group hang out. The back court is beautiful. They have cute décor, a fountain, and plants everywhere that make it lush and comfortable to hang out and chill there! They have tables that are cut out in the middle for a fireplace too, which I thought was pretty cool. It almost feels like your outside in a jungle enjoying nice food and company. One downfall is their customer service, they aren’t very nice, and they’re very slow. It’s hard to get their attention. And of course parking is always terrible in ktown. So luckily they have valet parking!

Love the ambiance of the restaurant. We only came for dessert but I will definitely be returning to try out their entrees. Order the watermelon shaved ice, I believe they only have it during the summer. The coffee waffle is delicious! definitely one of the best desserts they have to offer. If you can, definitely ask for outdoor seating, especially at night. They have Christmas lights, lots of trees and plants, and a water fountain. If you’re in the area, make sure to stop by!

Spontaneous Adventures are always so FUN-FILLED! The Group and I decided to satisfy our little sweet tooth after our dinner and decided to check this place out! First and foremost the parking for this little hole in the wall is kinda hectic! So I recommend finding street parking! Ima take yall on a magical journey! Once you guys walk in, it’ll feel as if you’re in an ice cream shop/bakery. When you guys level up and enter into the next room, you guys will see a pretty chill area with tables and chairs with dim lit lighting which in my opinion is a great place to kick it with friends over coffee or desserts. Lastly, I highly recommend asking for seats outside in the back because that’s when you have reached this place’s FINALSTAGE of pure awesomeness. By awesomeness I mean there’s a jungle in the back with a water fountain in the center which is… wait for it… SNAPCHATANDINSTAGRAM Worthy. ._. Yep. ._. Jokes aside. I recommend the Vanilla and Green Tea Prince Waffle. That is all. The presentation of this dessert is 5⁄5. If my memory serves me correctly, the dish is comprised of vanilla and green tea ice cream, strawberries, melons, whip cream, powdered sugar, two pieces of waffles, chocolate drizzles and diabetes. Overall, the ambiance level and the scenery makes for an ideal chill spot with friends over desserts. It can also be a great place to take your date to since the place looks EXACTLYLIKESOMETHINGSTRAIGHTOUTOF A KOREANDRAMA! +2 for Style points :3

Such a cute café! There are tons of seating available both inside and out, and you can pick a seat wherever you’d like. I absolutely LOVED the outdoor seating area, it’s very lush with greenery, airy and a just nice place to chill with your friends. It’s one of those places you go to and comfortably converse for hours without being bothered, and the food is not bad either. I have been here twice in the past weekend so that must be saying something. I am a fan of their gangnam style myung ran pasta! Normally, I steer clear of cream type pastas but this pasta had broccoli, paprika and wasn’t as heavy as the typical cream type pasta. And the little myung ran bits add a hint of the sea which was quite nice. For dessert, we split a waffle which comes with two scoops of ice cream, fruit and dollops of whip-cream. The waffle was really good– crunchy outside, softer inside, with just the right amount of sweet. The ice cream could have been better as both the coffee and green tea flavors were overpowering, but other than that, I had a great time. Friendly service and great ambiance. I will most definitely be back before the summer ends! Valet parking available for $ 2.

Cute little Ktown café — very Korean in the sense that it has very cute décor, blankets and comfy chairs and the drinks and food are a bit overpriced. Came here with my brother and sister in law and we had the gangnam style myung ran pasta, tonkatsu and the seafood teppanyaki. The food was ok; the entrees come with a free beverage which is a nice plus. It’s a great place to while away a few hours and just chill out and relax. It’s very easy to lose track of time in their outdoor space. Their patbingsoo is also good and big and delicious. I’ve been here a couple times and it’s not a bad option to grab a bite and enjoy yourself but not really a place to come for a stellar dining experience.

Very expensive for a café, but the ambiance and decorations make up for it! The outside area is beautiful and filled with nature/trees/lights. I bring friends and family here when they visit me in LA. :) Get the affogato or the coffee bingsoo! They offer blankets so if you’re cold, ask for one!

Although can be bit pricey their house and Kim chi fried rice dishes are BOMB. And when I come here with lArge groups I never have a problem making reservations and getting ample service. Cool things: $ 2 valet but street parking is usually easy enough to find depending on the time(before dinner rush found a spot at 545 pm in front– meters are on till 6 tho on weekdays). Free drink with a dinner meal!
