Quaint little Salvadoran restaurant in south central L. A that serves amazing pupusas. I haven’t yet been here more to try anything else but the mixed pupusas always hit the spot. The servers seem nice. The place itself has a bit off a Salvadoran atmosphere to it. My parents love this place. Apart from the wait for food. I can’t think of anything negative about this place. Don’t be discouraged. Places like these need our business. Good pupusas in conclusion.

I come here all the time, its like 4 blocks away from my house. The only issue we have is that it takes them forever, like 20 minutes for them to prepare our food so we go ahead and call before so when we get there we only has to wait few minutes. Leaving that aside. The service is great, they’re really friendly. The best food there are the pupusas de arroz, just few Salvadorian Restaurants serve Arroz pupusas. The shrimp plate is great too but expensive.

I loooooooooove Clemen’s. Cheap, delicious, friendly, convenient… really convenient… OK, so it is around the corner from my house these days so I would go there all the time anyway, but I actually think their pupusas are slightly higher-end as they mix loroco in with the cheese and their curtido is particularly spicy and flavorful. Their beans are very dark and salty, which I like but is a bit different. We’ve also had grilled shrimp and the tilapia there and both were tasty, although the pupusas are obviously the value for money. Speaking Spanish is helpful but not necessary– the menu is in both languages.
