City Deli Cafeteria

Not the best breakfast in the world and it is okay for what it is, however, for $ 10 or under it’s a price that you can’t argue. Most of the stuff is pre-​made and or pre-​packaged, however, when you’re on the run it does the trick. I have been here a few times when traveling to and from LAX. This is actually the cheapest place to get something reasonable. They do have fresh fruit for a $ 1 per piece. Apples are very user friendly in terms of packing.

Best place at LAX to eat period! Affordable prices, great food, order things exactly how you like em. You will NOT find a terminal cheaper than this Deli right here. It’s very spacious and located under the encounter restaurant. They also have a few TV’s which is a huge plus for the most part cnn which I don’t mind.
My favorite is their patty melt w/​grilled onions and a side of fries. Delicious.
Pancakes are a bit hit at this place too and once you have them you will know why.
Don’t forget to tip the cooks they deserve it!

Convenient place to get a meal before or upon your arrival at LAX. It’s a cafeteria that gets things done well.
Breakfast is awesome here, just not the bacon… Weird, right? Pancakes are pretty good here!

I’m writing this for my husband, Juan B., so here goes. «I’ve been working at LAX for the last year and every now and then I’ve stopped to eat at City Deli. It’s been pretty good until the other day. I went through the buffet line and the line’s were backed up due to a lot of customers. Normally the person acting as the cashier also serves, but on this occasion someone came to help her because they were so busy. The person that was helping her was not wearing any gloves like everyone else does when serving, he wasn’t wearing the white uniform everyone that serves wears. He was dressed in what looked like blue maintenance attire. When I notified him that he needed to put gloves when serving customers, he shrugged me off, I then told him I would wait for the person who normally serves and follows correct procedures to serve me. He just ignored what I told him about the gloves, I worked in food services for the United States Marine Corp and I know proper food handling procedures, and he was not following even minimal standards. I was in a hurry so I didn’t have a chance to speak to management about this. I hope they read Unilocal,and ensure that ALL their workers, not just the regulars, know how to handle food properly.»

Reasonably priced food at a busy airport? You betcha!
This is where the employees dine.
Most foods are made to order so you can be as picky as you’d like, and holy hell, it’s actually affordable. However, drinks are still about 500% more expensive than they should be.
Downside: the bathrooms appeared to be a breeding ground for 15+ terminal diseases. AVOID.
Side note: this airport sucks major balls. Connecting to an international flight? There are about 3 dining options once you get there. Most international terminals have plenty of options — not LAX. So sadly, this is the best you can get.

This place sucks but their food will hold u over if u find yourself at LAX waiting for your ride fight thru LA TRAFFIC to pick you up. This is place is more for the workers here since its all i see. Go to the spider air control tower and walk all around. u will see a door with a bathroom sign and go inside. They have plenty of seats and old skool tv to pass the time.

This is the best place to eat if you’re at the airport. The food is cheap. For the price, it tastes great. And the most important thing of all… all these workers are union.

Place is laid back, food’s cheap, BUT the flight attendants that walk in are AMAZING! they have different soup everyday. the soup is something like 2 bucks and its really good! The burgers are kinda messy, the fries are great! This place has the cheapest food throughout the whole airport. Good place eat before a flight or possibly between layovers.

Excellent breakfast served weekdays till 10:30am and after that full lunch menu. Most of the airport employees eat here and is definitely better than eating McDonalds junk food. The french toast and omlettes are fantastic so are the burgers and fries.
