Love this place, but the past few days the gate has been closed – what’s going on?! Please tell me you’re not closed!

The hot sandwich that was made was good, but $ 9. It must be upcharged because of the location, because it seems busy enough, but at least one employee was standing around at any given time. $ 9 for a $ 7(at best) sandwich, though… Even sadder, you can’t get the premade cold sandwiches for any cheaper. At least take a buck off if it’s premade and ready it grab in the fridge on the right. Don’t get me wrong. Sandwich was good. Cashier was friendly. Place seems clean. It’s a nice deli spot on the Blvd. I just took a star away for each dollar I thought overcharged. If I get a little extra scratch– I might be back.

Really tasty! They use boar’s head lunch meats!!! I used to eat them all the time on the east coast but haven’t been able to find them since moving to the SF South Bay Area. Bummer! Highly recommend this place! Only tip would be the French bread is super tasty, but crunch thick crust. So our son had issues. Maybe if your kiddo has issues with stuff like that get a softer bread.

I love citybreads. Its quick, cheap and healthy. I work in Hollywood and when I need a good fresh salad or sandwich and dont want to wait in the long lines at Trader Joes or Ralphs Ill hit up City Bread. Youd think being so close to Hollywood and Highland it would always be full or filled with fried foods but they have a great selection of healthy deli sandwiches as well as lots of drinks and chips options.

This unassuming café on Hollywood Blvd. provided a pleasant escape from the throngs of tourists on a busy weekend afternoon. The boyfriend munched on the Turkey Pesto while I rocked the aptly named Famous Grilled Chicken. High quality ingredients, a pristine environment(when was the last time you said THAT about any place to eat in that area?!), and super friendly counter and kitchen staff earned this spot a place in my must visit nosh spots. Oh, and a shout out to Carlo for his awesome menu recommendations and making us feel so welcome.

City Breads is an awesome place. Right across the street from my school. They have a lot of healthy choices as well as pastries to satisfy your cravings. I usually get the Greek Wrap, I can also get some Chobani yogurt at the same time… Fast & good service. Not expensive & fairly priced.

So I was there with a friend from out of town and she set her purse on the counter and went to the rest room. The guy behind the front counter stole her purse. Then I watched him do it on the video system before we called the police. After they got there the guy deleted the video of the other guy taking it. STAYAWAY.

The sandwiches are great because they use boar’s head meat and they have freshly baked baguettes… My only criticism is that they don’t have plain avocado, they only have guacamole to add to your sandwich!

One of the best quick bites on Hollywood Blvd. They have great salads, sandwiches, soups and wraps, all made fresh to order, and at very reasonable prices. They also have coffee and espresso(much better than that green place down the street). The entire staff is courteous, and they keep the place clean. If you’re in a hurry, you can go to the fridge and get sandwiches and salads pre-made(they make great tabouleh — $ 2.99), and nice healthy drinks & snacks(or unhealthy if you prefer) that you can’t find elsewhere nearby. To the people complaining about the prices: It’s Hollywood — everything is a bit more expensive. Also, they do post their prices on a giant wall menu, which you can look at before ordering.

Came across this place at 1am on a Sunday night while trying to show my cousin from out of town a good time, & I have to say I’m glad we did! Pizza was great(about $ 10& was enough to feed 3 people) & the desserts were great(particularly the cookies, we had this chocolate coconut one which was my fav & a lemon white chocolate one that the owner was sweet enough to give us on the house that was delish as well!). Service was impeccable, the owner was sooo nice & being under the weather I was coughing quite a bit & the cook came & politely with concern offered me cough drops mentioning how awful it feels to be sick! So nice, made our night ^_^

This place is very very clean and nice inside and its also peaceful place to have lunch. The Older gentlemen is nice! I’ve been to this place twice for my lunch break. They advertise sandwiches starting at $ 5.00 which is a LIE. They all are priced at $ 8.00 and its really expensive for a sandwich with hardly any meat at all you’re just eating bread. My second time here I ordered a custom sandwich which came out to $ 9.00 I looked at the receipt to see why I was charged so much. I was charged for Cheese, lettuce and tomatoes, RIDICULOUS! and I literally had 2 slices of meat on my sandwich on top of that. I was a little angry. This place is nice and has great potential if it wasn’t so greedy.

I work around the corner from CityBreads. But this place is clean and in HOLLYWOOD(Yeah Hollywood is DIRTY!) But you can come in a get lunch and also if you need items for your home. But they have per-packaged sandwiches for on the go lunches. The staff and everyone there is friendly. Love IT!

I eat here everyday because its conveniently across from my school. I love the food but I feel like the owners want to squeeze every dime out of you. The grocery items are so expensive its a joke and I get a kick out of it. The foos is good though and more reasonably priced. I do hate how if you want anything extra like dressing its 50 cents. Like why, take your 2 quarters and be happy then.

Seriously? I ordered a Buffalo chicken wrap and they FORGOTTHEBUFFALO sauce. I ended up with a totally tasteless plain chicken wrap with lettuce and tomato and some blue cheese that did nothing for flavor. Major fail.

Finally! The 1stREAL meal in L.A. Also no styrofoam use. A truly environmentally-conscious business. After searching far and wide, this place finally gave me a break with a REAL and delicious meals at a reasonable price(chicken ceasar wrap for $ 6.99). Desserts on the other hand was tad bit pricey for a thin slice($ 4.75) that definitely cannot be shared with a lover. We decided to skip it but they do look heavenly! This is a fantastic business considering it is located right on Hollywood. Oh and they also come with a mini-market.

One of the downsides of living in hollywood is the low quality of restaurants here, THANKGOD for city bread for making a diffrence, its by far the cleanest place in the area, their selection of pastries is great, delicious coffee and tea and dont get me started on their rich menu of salads and sandwiches, my favorite is the buffalo chicken, soooo good. they have an outside patio where you can relax and enjoy a cup of freshly sliced fruits or a drink from their endless selection of beverages. the service is great, everyone is so friendly and hands on, its the reason why i will never move outside of hollywood.

If you are in the area of Hollywood and Highland check this place out. They offer freshly baked breads and pastries daily. Their sandwiches are very good and they have lots of other goodies to choose from. As of recently I noticed that they selling Dippin’ Dots Ice Cream. This is my favorite!

Great quick lunch and dinner spot… annndd for a late after midnight meal. City Breads is in a prime location on Hollywood Blvd. and a great place to go to if you are a local like myself or a tourist cruising the boulevard. It’s got an east coast look and feel with a lax west coast touch. Very friendly staff and always cheerful. Indoor seating and a chill back patio. I enjoy the menu because it’s healthier than the typical fast-food joint and not a restaurant where you have to wait for a reservation. My favorite items on the menu are all the sandwich wraps, especially the chicken caesar with spinach tortilla! They have pre-packaged sandwiches and salads if you’re in a huge hurry but if you have an extra 3 – 5 minutes you should order it fresh at the register. All their deli sandwiches are made with quality meat by Boar’s Head. Coffee is good but i wished they had more flavor options. The menu is reasonably priced, although some of the ice cream bars are a little more than it should be. So far I’ve been very satisfied with their baked goods and I like their 50% off deal after 7pm. The lemon bar is awesome! Overall, very happy this place opened up!

I’ve been meaning to write a review forever. I’m a pretty big fan of city breads — it’s about 5 minutes walking distance from my job and it has saved my butt many times when I have had to stay at work for longer than expected. Their pre-packaged sandwiches are about $ 7 and are french loaf and very filling. I’ve had the chicken one which is okay, but my favorite is the turkey with green apples and cheese(…however twice I’ve gotten this sandwich and it hasn’t had any apple in it even though it was listed on the package, so minus one star for that). They also come with a pickle spear, which is my new addiction. I also love their baked goods, the chocolate muffins are a nice treat however the cinnamon rolls are where it is at! I love to take one home and then microwave it and enjoy it. After 7PM all the baked goods are 50% off, so my cinnamon roll ends up costing me a dollar and some change.(and just FYI the cheesecakes are always regular price and not worth it!) Plus they are open til 3-a-friggin-AM. Holla! They also sell Dippin’ Dots and a variety of chips, wraps, salads, coffees, teas, juices and sodas, and veggies for dipping. There is indoor seating — as well as a patio out back(I’ve still never ventured out there) so you can eat your sandwich in peace outside(a rarity in Hollywood these days!) Staff is friendly and courteous. Glad this place finally opened!
