Hard to find. Clean interior. The lady at the front was really pushy, but helpful(she told me about the ratings items had). She told me about promotions she was having. A good source of Aveda products in Ktown, but a little expensive! :] Have not tried the salon services yet.

I came here once, because I am a fan of Aveda and their coloring service. I came here to get a little color in my hair(with Mario) and I have to say I was very satisfied with the out come. I think I timed it right because I came on a Thursday morning and I was the first client and only client in that morning. It was nice having all the attention ; -) I was just getting a full color, I wanted a nice reddish brown shade. When I was done the color came out a more purplish red, which is NOT what I wanted. SO. .. I just told him and he made some adjustments for me, he threw in a few highlights and then re-colored it, which then turned my hair into the reddish brown color that we were aiming for. I want to mention that I was not charged for the additional work. Mario asked me after the first round of coloring if by chance I did a box color in between my previous AVEDA colorings and I confessed(guiltily) that I did. He told me that this is really important info for a colorist to know and it can affect the future AVEDA color. He also said that it was his fault for not asking me at the beginning. . and he also told me how awful box color treatments are for the hair. .. sheesh. I know, I know. but it’s so tempting at 5.00 a box !; — / Anyway, I walked out of there loving the color, having the whole salon to myself and not being charged anything extra. Mario gave me some coupons to use for the next time I was in their AVEDA salon, as well as some samples(something I love about AVEDA, they always give samples). I agree with Joanna P. they do have regular specials. And when they first opened, I found a shampoo and conditioner of the Sap Moss line on their discount table, a line which AVEDA had discontinued for some time. So I was happy to be able to find it here at Cindy Cho’s AVEDA salon.

I can’t even begin to describe how bad my experience here was. I spent eight hours in a chair only to emerge with macaroni and cheese colored hair, and the stylist lied to me. He said, «oh, since I am not happy with the color, I will give you a deep discount, 40%.» I was very polite but when I got home I saw they had a 40% off special off of color treatments for that whole month. I was furious, and when I confronted him about it later he wouldn’t admit it. STAYAWAY

My husband and I both came to this salon on the same day. I didn’t know we were sharing a stylist! I came to have my colour done. I already had the formula that I always use, so I figured it was foolproof, right? Well our stylist, while very nice was NOT professional about it. He didn’t even time the colour processing! He just did my husbands hair while I was processing and then when it was done my hair was soo over processed. The color looked terrible and fake. Instead of a gorgeous red, I had burgundy. I will not be going back there.

I love this Aveda location, because of all the specials they have. There are other Aveda salons and places that sell Aveda products near Koreatown(City Center and Haas & Co. on Larchmont), but none of them constantly offer specials like Cindy Cho Aveda.(I posted the current specials under the«Quick Tip».) The receptionist is very nice and helpful and always throws in a few samples for us to use. Parking is located on Oxford and 1 hour free with validation. If you go past an hour, it’s $ 2 for every 20 minutes.
