I have never eaten at Cilantro before yesterday. I am quite a picky eater also. But, after eating here I am convinced that this is one of the best food restaurants in L.A. The selection is great and the food is amazing!

Azad, the business owner takes cares of you! This guy understands the importance of good service for getting a simple lunch! Go to subway and ask for a bit extra meat and now suddenly my meal is 2 dollars more, at cilantro a little extra won’t cost you extra. Getting down to the store, clearly it is a takeout place but they do have a few chairs if you did want to dine there. The layout of the food preparation area is similar to chipotle’s with the clear glass, able to see your meal as it gets prepared. Food is amazing! The must try is their shrimp burrito. The shrimp burrito comes with an in house orange sauce that is incredible! Food prices are all reasonably priced and as I said before you can be sure you are going to get a large meal for what you pay for. Free chips come with every order and usually there is a Unilocal deal for a free drink with a purchase. Last bit of advice… This cilantro is different than the other cilantro’s in the Los Angeles for two reasons: the staff and the food quality! From one food fanatic to another, Azad… Thank you for the excellence you deliver!

I go to Cilantro often during my work lunch breaks. The service is always top notch and the food is great! My favorite is the quesadilla. My usual is the half steak, half shrimp quesadilla based off the recommendation of the owner and it’s always bomb.

Not bad but definitely not good. The guy dropped my burrito on the ground(it was on a tray) & then decided to use the part that didn’t fall(he was happy & shared with his coworker that some of it got saved) & tried to rehabilitate it. I didn’t see corn/onions so I asked him to add more but he said he could see what fell out from looking at the tray on the ground. Subpar Mexican food. This is what you would expect from Mexican food in a different state but definitely not LA. Definitely not worth the $ 9.80. Pass & go somewhere else.

Walked over from work, really excited because I truly love the food! Walked in, the bald guy was picking his nose. When he finished, he threw the napkin he was using away and reached for the gloves to serve me! So disgusting! Never again!

I went in to get nachos to split with my girlfriend expecting more of a snack than a meal, but we bit off more than we could chew and had to save some for later due to the great portion size. The prices are friendly and so was the owner who was running this location on his own. You could taste that all the ingredients were made fresh and he wasn’t even stingy on the free guacamole! If you like fresh Mexican food, give this place a well earned visit!

I just wanted to update this review. I am not sure when the policy changed but THECHIPSAREIN. Sorry for the bad pun. I have added a star. The food is still just OK. Had a burrito this time and it was OK.

Nothing too special about this place! It is an over priced, smaller version, and less appetizing Chipotle. The rice is always raw, and the meat tastes strange! Last time I went they were out of Tortilla Chips so I couldn’t redeem my Unilocal offer. The workers are very nice tho. I might give them another chance in a few months after they have been open for a longer period of time.

Still ok good food; food poisoning. Something must have been wrong with the mild chicken, because I got food poisoning. It started from the time I ate it til late evening, when I thought I had to go to the emergency room and then I remembered I have HMO insurance(no prior authorization — dang!-that means I can’t go!) — the pain felt like bunch of sharp needles attacking me with a burning sensation — I started cussing the burrito that was going to kill me. Luckily, I was able to waddle to the bathroom and found a last packet of Alka Seltzer; I popped some Alka seltzer and felt better. Still, I would still return. Mexican food has healing properties for me. The burritos seem to be getting smaller. There were no complimentary chips served today. Terrible! I always go before the lunch rush and the worker who greets me always works very, very slow, as if I had all the time in the world, instead of minutes to pick up my lunch and return to work. I guess I have to go to Subway from now on.

This place. Its new in the area but it has made quite a buzz in our tower in downtown Wilshire. An Assembly line of Mexican style food. The food is always fresh to order, staff is friendly and generous. They are generous with their servings and usually make the burritos as big as you can possibly order. The quesadillas!!!

I looove this place! They moved from Figueroa last year and I was so sad, then was so happy to find out they reopened 2 blocks from my job! I’m here at least 1−2x a week. Their spicy shredded beef is AMAZING! Staff is very friendly and they don’t skimp on the meat. Definitely recommend this place!

This place just opened up near my house. I probably go here 2 – 3 times a week to get a burrito or tacos. The food is good and the staff are friendly. The owner/cook is a local is always welcoming when I come in. If you have never been here, it’s essentially the same idea as Chipotle, but with its own flavor and style. The prices are fair and the location has been very convenient, so I’m giving it 5 stars. Give it a try.

Walked here for lunch today. Had a shredded beef bowl! It was good, and reminded me of Chipotle meaning it has the same style of «build your own». Staff was friendly, extremely friendly which makes me feel like I would go back if I were in the area. Downfall is they don’t have a menu. Being that there is a giant hospital across the street, I’m sure those employees would love to be able to phone in an order for pick up on their Short and hurried lunch breaks!

If you want the real deal at real prices come here. Every thing is homemade and it would be impossible for the owner to care any more about his place and his product.

Everything here is so fresh. I really like their spicy shredded chicken. I especially like that they serve chicken beast. Also, they have free parking inside the building. Look for the garage entrance that says retail parking. Definitely my favorite Mexican Grill!
