When this former 76 station opened as CIC, it had cheap gas for a few weeks. Now, it’s a sucker trap for those entering or exiting the 405 freeway. On May 30, 2016, regular gasoline was 24 cents more per gallon than at United Oil, which is a few blocks west on Culver Blvd. You could also go to nearby stations on Washington and Venice Blvd.

I was on my way to the station I usually go to down the street but noticed the price here was over 10 cents per gallon cheaper. So in I went. I think the place used to be a 76, but it’s now called CIC. I had no idea what that was supposed to stand for until I looked at the receipt, which says«Culver Investment Co.» Still not sure what the deal is, but hey, cheap gas! I was able to pay by credit card at the pump, so I didn’t even have to use an ATM card like some places! The only problem was between the two islands there was only one window washing squeegee, and that one left my window smudged. But for gas that cheap, I can deal.
