I moved to this neighborhood a couple months ago from K2 and this is one of my favorite restaurants. The price is reasonable, food is good and customer service is great. They give a lot too. It is a fast food Chinese restaurant with varieties of choices. I am addicted to thier Orange chicken and chicken string beans ever since I tried them. Now I am a regular customer especially when I am lazy cooking or getting tired from work. I notice some bad reviews for this restaurant and I can’t understand why. It is just the fast food Chinese restaurant which sells their food with very good price. They are really nice and incredibly fast. The food is nothing amazing, but it is always fresh and good. And did I mention fast? Oh and the lunch specials are sooooo cheap. All around it is just a great spot for basic Chinese food at great prices. As long as the price, food and service is great, I will keep coming back. Keep up the good job!

I wanted to love it, being an extremely close chinese restaurant but after a year of longingly looking at the sun bleached menu pages in the windows, we finally ordered. They went out of their way to get us food near closing time, so they had that good will. But unfortunately, we didn’t love it. The orange chicken was off and we didn’t finish anything we ordered like we normally would. Just a disappointment. Friendly staff, but this chinese food wasn’t our thing.

Went here for the second time and it was really a good experience. Spicy Seafood Jjajangmyun was also good but it has a strange taste but its like a positive kind of taste. Will surely come back again.

Fast delivery and cheap, but the food is below par. The jjajangmyun was watery, and the orange chicken was soggy, gooey, and inedible. The tangsooyook(beef) was ok. Will not order from the again.

Have I been missing out BIG? I think YES! Oh why, why, WHY! This Korean-Chinese restaurant probably has the BEST jjajangmyun in Koreatown. No doubt on this! Yes, I love Young King and I love their Tangsooyook but listen to me. This place has seriously the best jjajangmyun EVER! Ive had many jjajangmyun in Koreatown, Rowland Heights, and the cities in the OC, this place tops it all! I dare to say that it has the closest taste/flavor to the jjajangmyun I had in Korea. It’s that good! Do you get it?! Their Tangsooyook was also so good. The meat was pretty generous with very thin but crispy and crunchy batter with sweet and sour pork, YUM! Take my money and give me all you have! I prefer to dip my Tangsooyook in the sauce though. I forgot to ask them when I placed an order. Next time I come, I am definitely going to dip it and eat them! It will be EVEN better, Their Jjambbong was also good too. Generous with the seafood and veggies, it was spicy enough to make you happy! But I still havent found ‘THEPLACE’ for the jjambbong. This place definitely makes the best Jjajangmyun, hands down! Their Kung Pao Chicken, however, was not satisfying because the batter was rather too thick which was pretty odd because Tangsooyook had so much thinner batter and much more crispy. I will come to this place for my jjajangmyun fix from now on. My boyfriend is also happy to find this place in the corner of Berendo and 6th Street. Theres NOPRIVATEPARKINGLOT for this restaurant which is pretty bad but if youre lucky enough(like me) you can find free street parking or metered parking right next to the restaurant.

I ordered delivery most of the time. Makes you wonder if the deliveryman is flying or teleporting sometimes because they are just that fast… Friendly people :) Generous portion, considering the price you are paying. Food-wise, it is decent/acceptable for most of the food. With that said, some did taste… meh A good place to try if you are really out of options.

Not a place I want to be seen in, but the food is excellent! It is everything I expect from a korean-chinese takeout place: cheap, good portions, delivery and greeeat jajangmien! The dish jajangmien deserves a special mention :)

The food was«ok», nothing special. Just basic chinese food. Over the phone they told me their food was fantastic. The driver couldn’t find my address, he called me and I gave him the address, then the lady manager called and I gave the address again, and then another manager called me and asked the address again. I ordered at 1:40pm and they delivered at 3:00pm. No apology or nothing, like it was supposed to be like this. Not gonna eat here again, even though I liked the fried wontons.

So, the sick son of a bitch delivery man calls my phone and screams«I’m here!» As if it was my civil duty to wait outside for his arrival. I walk out and sign my receipt and total out 0 for tip, because I was going to give him a cash tip. Maybe he didn’t understand when I told him I was gonna give him cash, but he watched as I zeroed out the tip amount in the receipt and he yells“What! No Tip!” I was obliged to re-explain myself and cut his tip in half since he was such a rude asshole. I worked in a restaurant environment for years. I’ve managed different locations and worked as a waiter, there are people in the world that don’t tip… we move on. The world still turns. I’ve never forced someone to tip me for poor service. The food was not great, but the service was what really drove me away. Never again!

The lunch combo is a pretty hefty portion. I had the jjajjangmyun and gganpoongee combo(black bean noodles and spicy fried chicken) and there weren’t any problems, exactly, it just wasn’t the kind of taste i’m used to. Jjm was done alright, if a tad salty. I was dismayed to see the chicken gpe, though. It was served fried in a thick doughy batter, doused in a oversweet sauce and lacking spice/aromatics. I mean i’m sure there are customers who like it this way, it’s just not what I personally look for. Food comes out super fast, this place is suited to a quick meal of inexpensive food if you work or live really close. More like a 2.5 star but i’ll give them the benefit for now. Btw, i didnt get kimchee with my to-go order. I’m wondering if it was a mistake or if it was because I ordered in English? Check your bag and make sure u got some before u leave! it just isn’t the same without it, I was in denial for a moment when I sat down, ready to eat, open the bag and it’s not there.

THISPLACEHASTHEBESTHOTANDSOURSOUPEVER! I’m going to be completely honest. It’s cheap, filling, the food isn’t horrendous and I really like this place. In terms of Korean/Chinese restaurants, the menu options are pretty basic but that’s what I like, I’m not drowning in a convoluted sea of choices. this place is a life saver when I want quick, easy and painless Chinese food and their combo specials are great for people like me, who always want to eat everything. Like jja jang myun AND fried dumplings… or sweet and sour pork. It’s also great when you’re on a budget because the prices are dirt cheap compared to the fancier places. Décor is standard hole in the wall on the corner of a pretty busy street, wooden tables, definitely a small mom and pop Korean restaurant vibe. Delivery is always super quick too but I’m sure it helps that I live less than half a mile from the joint. But back to my original point… They really have the best damned hot and sour soup I’ve ever had and I’m definitely a H&S soup lover/snob. Theirs has the perfect balance and slimy texture with an abundance of the delicious matchstick pieces of bamboo… Now I’m hungry.

Such an affordable Chinese joint. It’s a korean style Chinese restaurant with black bean noodles that cost $ 5.50 and chow mein or fried rice dishes ranging from 6 – 7 dollars. The service is great and the food tastes great especially for what you pay. Apparently they deliver for free even though you order under $ 10. Just tip the driver. Most places charge a delivery fee for under $ 10 orders. For the price, service and taste, I give it 4 stars compared to other korean style Chinese places.

Within walking distance to work, but I should’ve just walked away. Ordered the black bean noodles with sweet and sour pork. Was a little worried because the pictures show the noodles drowning in a lot of dark sauce. Since I ordered to go the sauce for the noodles and the pork were in separate containers. Awesome! Kept things from getting soggy. They also gave me a side of kimchee with my order. The black bean sauce isn’t as potent as the deep color would suggest. It’s pretty balanced. If you get it on the side you can control the amount. The sweet and sour pork was just okay. Wasn’t fond of the way the pieces were cut. Some were long and thin calamari style. Kind of odd to me. Portion sizes are hearty for the price. That’s a plus. Parking: Street meters or small nearby pay lot.
