I just visited this place and I was so disappointed by spending my time and money here. The stuff working here is so unfriendly and unkind. The conditions of this place is also so bad, everything is so old and the tables re dirTy. Lastly, I’m live in love the Chinese food however after visiting this place I was barely throwing up. The food wasn’t fresh, it seemed to me it was moved directly from China by the ship in container with the garbage. If you re caring about your health, just don’t visit the china town express.

This place blows Panda Express out of the water for sure! Fast, friendly service, super cheap, and super yummy food– how can you beat that for a to-go counter type chinese restaurant. The staff here is always fantastic, super friendly & they won’t skimp on your portions like some places. They are constantly filtering out the food when I’ve been there so to me it seems as fresh as a place like this could be. The food: tasty and good ratio of proteins to veggies. The sauces here are what make the entrees. I can’t find cheap mushroom chicken as good as this place no matter where I go. Perfect spot for dinning in also, very clean, plenty of seating & free parking. If your in the area and want a cheap, quick meal of Chinese food this place is definitely the best.

For $ 6 it’s not bad. There isn’t a wide variety of options to choose from, but they give you a lot of grub. Service is curt and the lady looks like she’d rather be picking gum off a sidewalk than interact with you. It’s cash only but there’s an atm right outside thanks to the bank next door. I’d go here if you had no other option but really wanted Chinese.

This is my first review in Unilocal.I normally don’t really rate anything but the food here was so awful that I decided to find this place and give it my *. The worstest Chinese cuisine you can ever imagine yourself. Nothing more to add.

You get what you pay for. Which is lots and lots of salt. For 6 bucks you get a ton of food, but I wouldn’t make this a go to joint.

This place is on the list of worst restaurants I’ve eaten. Their service is lacking and the food, well let’s just say it was cooked properly. I would only recommend it if you’re desperate!

This place is not gross. The letter Grade they currently have is an «A». I dined around closing time, some choices were unavailable but it didn’t phase me. Picked a two item combo for $ 5.50 that’s a deal(drink NOT included). The food was good. Typical combination mom and pops place. I would dine here again. The Resturant was just too hot. It’s was 9:30 pm and felt 85 degrees inside when out side was only 70. No A/C running was not cool. Not the most friendly workers either.

The food is cheap, so I can’t complain. No other place in Hollywood has a full lunch for 6 bucks. The employees are kinda sketchy though. The greasy looking cook gives my wife a rape face every time we walk by the place, so that’s –2 stars.

RUDESERVICE! On top of that I Tried asking for siracha sauce to go and they tried charging me 25¢ for a tiny tiny cup. … Food is soggy and dry, There are so many other Chinese food places in the area I will never waste my time or money here ever again.

the food is good for that price, the only thing is the rudest service ever seen among Asians, or anywhere at all, felt almost as she was judging me for not knowing Chinese food.

Surprisingly one of the better Chinese takeouts I’ve had since moving to LA. It hit the bulls-eye with the Chinese hotplate takeout ‘trinity’ — cheap, greasy, and healthy portions. What more are you really looking for with these combo to go type places? It’s a no fuss, take your food home, and shove food down your face as fast as you can because you’re too tired to cook kind of place. Yes your body will hate you later, and the after taste lingers like someone abused a public restroom after BAD Chinese takeout; but the bar is set so low that this one gets a passing grade. Verdict: I will continue to come here until another crap Chinese food place replaces it.

Calling this place horrible would be an understatement. There’s panda down the street. This place is ridiculous and the food sucks. Service is horrible and theyre full of attitude. Which is funny, since places like these need to be high on customer service to keep the customers coming in and leaving happy. Smh.

WHOA !!! I moved into the neighborhood excited to try this spot out regardless of the horrible reviews and WOW were they right ! I bought the orange chicken, chow mein and fried rice . WOOF ! It was horrible the orange chicken tasted like they left it out for weeks, microwaved it and served me Rat meat. It was so dry and chewy that after two bites I had to spit it out and throw my food away. I’m not Picky at all when it comes to food but this place is bad !!! It’s dirt cheap tho maybe that’s why they stay in business… I don’t know!!! !!!

It’s always hard to truly judge a place by the reviews of others. Especially when the reviews are so mixed. But that’s typical. From my handful of experiences here, the food is mediocre at best. The fried rice tastes pretty generic and looks like it’s Rice-A-Roni with some vegetables and spices thrown in. The egg foo yung i just had was hard around the edges as if it’d been under the heat lamp all day. I’m just glad i asked for some brown sauce to moisten it up or i would have thrown it away. The chopped fried chicken was good, though, and had hardly any gristle. But i’m sure that varies. I only eat poultry and fish so i can’t tell you about their beef or pork but the vegetables dishes i’ve had in the past were passable. That said, i’ve never had terrible service. The employees aren’t social but i am greeted each time i’m there. They’re not rude, they just don’t say much. Also, the place does seem to be less cleanly than most and i’ve never seen anyone wiping down the tables or counters, therefore i’ve never felt comfortable dining in. Other issues i have are that they don’t have friend wontons, which i love, and they didn’t give me a fortune cookie. I never eat all the food cuz it just get’s unappetizing really fast. I’ve told myself before that i wouldn’t go back and this time i’m gonna stick to it. Especially if it’s suspected that they still use msg.

I should have known better, but I guess I still had to learn this lesson. Shabby little place and ALL of the tables were dirty and gross. I ordered«Combo A», with chow mein/fried rice and the beef broccoli and black pepper chicken. The beef broccoli was the only edible part of it. Everything was really sweet and the chicken gave me the creeps because, as was stated by another reviewer, I couldn’t tell what part of the bird it came from. I ended up tossing out most of my food, cause it was just really gross. The one plus’s: It’s cheap and you get a lot of food. Though in this case I think less is more. Much, much more.

3 stars — in the cheap Chinese fast food category. I live close, have eaten here several times over the years, never had a problem, never got sick or anything like that. Pretty basic stuff, you’ll get a heaping mound of food for a good price. Great for a hangover. Combos start with fired rice and noodles, then you pick 2 selections. Fried rice is good(get steamed if you want.) Noodles on a good day are really good, especially for this kinda place — firm, fresh, slightly chewy consistency of fresh pasta. No, they’re not pasta-like — they’re noodles. They’re pretty consistent on the noodles, but I’ve had ‘em once or twice where they were a bit on the soft side. Selections are pretty standard — orange chicken, bbq pork, etc. Meat is fatty, dishes are basic stuff, on par for this kinda joint. Panda Express stuff is leaner(PE’s orange chicken’s much better) but PE’s noodles are generic. This isn’t the kinda place you go to, just a place you might end up. Don’t bring a date, don’t be surprised to see a homeless guy gettin’ stuff to go, don’t eat anything off the floor. Get the picture? Whaddya expect in a strip mall at Hollywood/Western? I got this tonight: fried rice, egg roll, egg foo young. Egg rolls are good. Egg foo young is more like onion pakora — all batter, can’t detect any egg. Don’t bother with that. But everything was very fresh, including the rice. If you end up here and feel apprehensive, just get a side of noodles and try them — it’s like 2 bucks. Bim likes: this place in a pinch — wtf am I gonna do, go to Quiznos?

It seems like everyone else is having customer service problems? They’re pretty nice once you talk to them! Don’t expect them to let you talk shit to them, though! As for the food, the only chinese fast food I would eat. True, the food here is more fresh and less greasy than other china expresses. Oh, and their portion is a generous amount. But don’t get me wrong, I HATE chinese fast food. I’d only eat here if I HAVETO. Recommend: hot and sour soup, chow mein, beef and broccoli, orange chicken.
