This place is unreal. I had never been and am so glad I decided to walk in. The gyro was perfectly seasoned, steamed veggies were quality and fresh, and the sweet potatoes was delicious. Man oh man. Definitely coming back

It was my first time eating here. The chicken was tender and the Dijon salad was delicious. We also enjoyed the pita bread and humus.

This place has went downhill. I guess they can’t afford a bus boy because you now have to put your dirty plates away yourself after you eat, WTF! The seats are dingy and ripped the place just looks worn.

Great food, love the humus, but felt it was over price. Wish it had more meat on the sewers. I order steak. Very tasty came with salad, rice, pita bread, and humus. I recommend! If I have money lol

A solid, fast food Mediterranean option. The rotisserie chicken and garlic cream sauce are tasty! The hummus is really good. Rice is flavorful and fluffy. And the house salad, wow… a caesar salad with shredded chicken and rice pilaf inside. Love love love. Service is always super friendly, and they are very accommodating of substitutions.

Mediterranean Shmediterranean! Try their rotisserie chicken. It’s the bomb! Their service is great. I’m not a regular customer at this place by any means but every time I go there, the owner remembers exactly what I want which is amazing considering I only go once every two months or so!

This place is a competitor of Zankou Chicken. I ordered a salmon plate with grilled veggies and Mediterranean fries. The person working the register(who I suspect is the owner) tells me it comes any two sides. To my dismay there was a hidden $ 1 up charge for the side of fries, which I thought was pretty bad practice. Slimey. In terms of food, the tzatziki sauce is made out of mayonnaise which was a first for me… I know it’s supposed to be made out of yogurt, not mayo. The salmon, overcooked. Overall I probably won’t be back here at this location.

I went here during a lunch break and I chose it because It was close and not crowded. Besides the dingy walls and tables, the other thing I noticed was a paper sign saying, «no public restrooms» It’s s good thing I was taking my food to go! I ordered the spinach salad with chicken for a total of ten bucks. What I actually got was probably worth six. It was fairly small, a bunch of ingredients were missing and the dressing was bland. The best part of of the place is the great service The people are nice and the food was ready within mins. If you are short on time and not too picky about food, then this is a good place

Well seasoned kabobs, tender meat and everything we got was utterly delicious. Friendly service, lots of seating(even though we got it to-go). Great prices and quick turnaround. Did I eat all my food: Yes, every grain of rice Would I go back? Yes but not now because I am full. TL;DR: awesome, tender, yummy.

I usually order a Greek salad, and those are good. Tonight I tried the salmon plate and it was REALLY delicious! The salmon was high quality fish, grilled perfectly and I highly recommend getting it with the spicy sauce. I was really impressed and I think it’s a great value for the price. Now I need to try their other grilled fishes

I decided to try this place one more time. This time around the food was better and the staff were better dressed. No more boxers and flip flops. My rating is mostly based on the food and price.

I was enticed in due to the line at Daikokuya and the cool signage and specials board here. I walked in and was greeted by a loud, but sweet lady behind the counter. She was wonderfully outgoing and spoke service with a smile. I sat down in one of their run down booths and got picked up some sauces and peppers. Sadly I was not impressed by the value they offer. I ordered the chicken dijon wrap and a soda. Total came up to near $ 9. The Dijon wrap was a badly wrapped(it fell apart when I took it out of its wrapper) pita bread stuffed with lettuce, tomato, and chicken. It was decent, but not spectacular. It also was minuscule for the price. I was still hungry after the wrap. It’s basically a bump larger than those snack wraps you get from MickeyD’s. They have other specials with surf and turf that seemed to be plastered everywhere. Perhaps I’ll try that next time?

What a fun, healthy spot on Sawtelle! I work around the corner, so I’m always looking for a different lunch option nearby. One of my favorite places to eat is at the California Chicken Café and Chicken Dijon certainly resembles the restaurant. It’s a little place next to the European Wax Center. There are tables and booths if you choose to eat there but most people order to-go. All of their sandwiches and salads look amazing but I was a fan of their house sandwich the most. The service is pretty quick and very friendly! Definitely will be coming back :)

It’s simple with good portions, but a bit expensive for what you’re getting. As much as I love mediterranean food, this is good but not great and certainly more than I’m used to paying. But I guess on Sawtelle, the price premium is for anything non-Japanese. I usually get the Dijon House Salad which amounts to over $ 10 to go. It’s essentially romaine, parmesean, rotisserie chicken and seasoned rice with some crispy pita croutons. It comes with a side of dressing and pita flatbread. While delicious and certainly hits on the spot for something quick at lunch, it’s definitely expensive considering a large bowl of ramen at Daikokuya is the same price and much heartier! And for those who don’t know, Daikokuya is only a few shops down.

I got the surf and turf! I’m a HUGE fan of all surf and turf so I was expecting a lot from this one. The specialty comes with pita bread and 2 sides. I got a side of steamed veggies and garlic fries. Pita bread was good. Side of steamed veggies were very dry. Garlic fries are BOMB, not too soggy and still crispy. The meat is lacking some type of seasoning. It’s cooked well and very juicy, but there is something about the flavoring/seasoning that hasn’t completely sold me yet. The shrimp was very delicious so I wasn’t disappointed ! Overall good customer service. The lady was very friendly so she got a nice tip from us. I would definitely come back if I’m not craving Asian food and I happen to be in the area :)

I think there are a lot of things about Chicken Dijon that I like… others not so much. What I like about CD is that you can definitely tell there is a lot of effort to make the most out of this place. For example, they implemented a soda machine, artwork and even a well maintained condiment station. It really seems like they are making a push for a fast casual experience. I thought the food was good. I got the gyro wrap. It was well portioned and had great taste. The price was pretty good too. However, the drink prices were a little weird(the fountain drinks were definitely more expensive than the bottled ones, which surprised me). I do wish the wrap was a little easier to eat… because it seemed more like a big taco than a wrap. What I didn’t like about CD is that the knives and forks were placed(in a bucket) on each table; you really don’t see that much these days in many restaurants anymore. If they have a condiment station, I am sure there is space to put the silverware there instead because I thought it made the tables look cluttered. Finally, since I was a bit confused as to whether this restaurant was fast casual or a full dining establishment, I didn’t know what to do with my plate when I was done with my meal. When I decided on my own volition that it was fast casual concept based on the presence of the soda machine, I threw away the trash in the small trash bin by the entrance, and brought the plate to the front. I would say they should get a different type of trash bin. All in all, I think they have a lot of room for improvement in terms of the décor, but I’m giving them 4 stars because they seemed like an honest business.

Worst. Experience. Ever. 12:30pm: Ordered food for a small group of us. Expected delivery was 40 minutes. 1:30pm: I called the restaurant because they hadn’t delivered yet and my co-workers were getting grumpy. The woman on the other end said — «Driver just left. Thank you!» She then immediately hung up on me. 2:00pm: I’m thinking — «The restaurant is 10 minutes away. This is taking forever.» I call again and I’m told: «The driver left like 45 minutes ago. I don’t know why you haven’t gotten your food.» WTF? So, I asked if she could please call the driver and get an ETA. 2:10pm: I get a call back. The driver is supposedly 5 minutes away. 2:40pm: Driver still hasn’t arrived. I call the restaurant again. They call the driver again. She’s «just around the corner,» I’m told. 3:05ish: I guess«just around the corner» = almost 30 minutes. Driver finally arrives. When the driver arrived she had a very grumpy look on her face. She didn’t say hi. She just said as she was handing me the food: «There was a lot of traffic.» And, she got back into her car. We had ordered hot chicken plates with fiery sauce. The chicken was cold and bland. No fiery sauce. I had a chicken wrap. The wrap was falling apart and soggy. Oh! And, let me not forget the 2 chicken bones I almost swallowed. At 10pm that night, I regretted my lunch decision while puking my brains out in my toilet. I don’t know if they gave us bad food, if the good had gone bad while they were«around the corner» or what. How does this place stay in business? You guys are TERRIBLE!

I love a good Mediterranean restaurant — but this was pretty disappointing. I ordered the gyro plate, got a side of hummus and the potato salad. The gyro meat was really salty and dry. I was expecting more flavor and juice to it. The hummus was a bit too zesty in my opinion and seemed like it had too much of a sour punch to it. The potato salad was decent. I couldn’t quite figure out if I loved it or not, but its definitely worth trying. The pita was warm and soft. I definitely could eat that with some tahini and yogurt sauce. I guess I just didn’t order the right item maybe? I’ll have to come back for the fries people keep raving about…

Love it. Great chicken. It’s very tasty, plus I love the steam vegetables. Usually I prefer to get only broccoli. They are always nice enough to do that for me. First time I tried hummus and it was very good. To be honest, I thought it was ranch. It was very different but delicious. If you haven’t tried it you should. It’s about 8 bucks a plate. The one I always get is the chicken with a steamed potato and the steamed veggies. Everything is so good. The cashier is very friendly and helpful. When I come here, usually there isn’t a line. There are people dining inside though. They always give you hummus on the side with your order, but you can always grab some more. There is a table by the entrance with dressings and utensils. I almost forgot, they also give you the pita bread with each order. It’s always warm and goes great with the chicken. They have a parking structure on the side of the building. Yes, it’s free. There is also meter parking at the front of the restaurant.

Ordered the quarter pound chicken plate. Came with a side of pita bread. Customers can choose between having with breast, wing, or thigh. The chicken was really moist and seasoned. It had a nice aroma to it. For sides i had the Mediterranean potato salad. It had a cold, delicious, sour and savory taste. Mediterranean fries couldn’t get any better. Freshly cooked and still hot out of the fryer. The fries were topped with grated blue cheese
