Great goodness of melted cheese fried poppers. $ 6.50 for a paper cone filled with cheeseballs with a side of ranch dipping sauce. Can’t go wrong with fried cheese!

I didn’t try their world famous cheeseballs, but I’ve tried the Hot Ham and Cheese Slider $ 2.75. { honey roasted ham, swiss cheese, truck-made garlic mayo, sweet hawaiian roll } & & & ooooh my god. that little slider is full of goodness. I would like 100 more please.

I must admit that cheese is the number one food group on my food pyramid, so checking out the Cheeseball Wagon was a no-brainer. Since I’ve only had cheeseballs in Minnesota(where they serve them lightly battered with ketchup and ranch dressing on the side), I had to give these a try. They were very good although the portion size seems pretty small for a $ 7.00 price tag. The breading was crisp(not greasy at all), and the cool ranch dressing was a nice portion-appropriate condiment. I love the mobile packaging, too. You can easily munch these while standing in line at your next truck and you won’t even need a napkin. For a California girl with midwestern cheese roots, these were a-okay.

When I think of cheese balls, I think of mozzarella, fried goodness. But not so at the CheeseBall Wagon! These bite size balls are filled with a yummy american cheese — a nice switch from the expected. The girl working the window rocked a sweet ass handle bar mustache — I knew this was my kind of food truck. And upon that first crunchy bite of that melty, cheesey goodness(with just a bit of ranch dressing) hit my palette. I knew I was in love.

Something about zesty cheddar cheese cubes breaded and fried to a golden nugget that draws me, reels me, magnetizes me to this truck. To put it over the top, they nestle the crunchy, stretchy(OMG I CANTGETENOUGH) jewels in a unique serving cone(like belgian fries cone) with a spiffy lip built-in that endows enough ranch dressing to do a little dunk in. The only problem I have is an order is never enough. Go figure.

Dood, cheeseballs the size of jumbo tic tacs for 7 bucks? But then again they were pretty good and you do get a fair amount(not a little, not a lot just enough) plus the gal serving it was pretty darn hot so this caveman will give this truck 3 stars… but if that hot chick leaves this truck drops a star.

I’d been feeling like my blood has been flowing a little too quickly thorough my arteries lately. Hmmm. how to slow it down and clog things up a bit? I know! A visit to the Cheeseball Wagon! I ordered their fried cheeballs, a ham & cheese slider, and something called a Sloppy Cheesy Chaz slider. I loved the Sloppy Cheesy Chaz — a very flavorful sloppy joe on a hawaiian roll. I could have eaten a half dozen of ‘em. The ham & cheese was good but didn’t knock my socks off. Oddly, I didn’t dig the cheeseballs at all. They were okay but you’d think fried cheeseballs should be a big winner. No, sorry. Service was sorta slow but there was only one guy in the truck, taking orders and making the food. Took ten minutes from my arrival to getting food in my hands so, not too bad, considering his predicament.

Holy smokes! This tuck is outrageous with the cheese! Tasted them last Wed and whoa! They were deep fried perfectly so with ever bite, cheese would ooze out onto your hand. simply awesome! Again, shout out to Kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat for driving to El Segundo and bringing back these little fried nuggets of heaven. Warning, once they get cold, the cheese becomes hard so you may have to do some strange microwave/toaster combo reheating technique that only bachelors know how to do(thanks again for that info Kaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat!). :) P. S. Coworkers tried the fried cheesecake bites and thought they were yummy.

Born and raised in the dairy state of Wisconsin, I’m a huge cheese head and my favorite fair food is cheese curds. California has everything fried but no one I’ve ever spoke to has even heard of fried cheese balls! Im a photographer who covers food truck events every week. When i heard these guys where going to be at the next event I was covering, I was overly excited! And they delivered me a piece of home! Amazing and is my personal favorite truck out of them all! The cheese balls where fantastic! Perfect ranch dressing too! I love that its not your normal hidden valley runny stuff! They even have my favorite cake which is red velvet! If you don’t stop and grab some of these, your really missing out! My children absolutly loved sticking their head into the little cut out dude! Can’t wait to see this truck again!!!

Maybe I should try to finish this review after the waves of nausea pass… The thing about the Cheeseball Wagon is they really aren’t selling anything you can’t expect from a name like that. It really is what it is. That being said, after Sloppy Gourmet and Slap Yo Mama, they really don’t seem to be doing it right. I’ll say this. I finished it. I got the $ 10 combo of two sliders and cheeseballs. The cheeseballs are just that. Fried cheese. I hate to compare them to motarella sticks, but they are the same concept… and not a good. The sliders were decent. Collard greens on the fried chicken one weren’t amazing and the sloppy joes on the sloppy one wasn’t anything special. If this place was cheaper, it would make sense. But when I shell out my money for gourmet food trucks… I expect to be paying a premium for something premium. Not this tho. Sorry Cheeseball Wagon. Such a good name.

Oh cheeeeseballs! You get 3.5 of my heart and stars. I love the whole concept of this truck, especially with the cheeseball cardboard cut out placed in the front, which you KNOW everyone who has seen it has taken a picture in it. The deep fried«World Famous» Cheeseballs are good. They were reminiscent of the mozzarella sticks from Dennys — so I eventually got sick after eating a few of them. It was $ 7 for a large basket — So you should definitely share w/someone — though I wouldn’t mind paying for half the portion at half the price. I would maybe suggest a counter-oil dipping sauce? Not sure what that would be… but the ranch is heavy and adds to the cheesy sickness towards the end of that basket. Anywhoo… Share!

I got to try this truck at Munchathon. We had the fried cheeseballs, and though they were really good, I’m glad I had someone to share them with. Cheese and deep fried batter? I don’t think I could eat the entire order with so much fat. They did come in a really cute paper cone with a section at the top for dipping sauce. While this was a good snack, I couldn’t put together an entire meal at this truck, and I really wouldn’t want to eat the entire order of cheeseballs by myself.

this truck really stood out in front of all the 30 trucks I saw in Irvine today. The cheeseballs I remember from eating out of a can was nowhere to be found. These cheeseballs were deep fried cheese curds with ranch as a dipping sauce. The cheese had a good flavor but they got boring to eat really quick. For seven bucks these did not come at an awesome price. It is handed to you in a cone. It didn’t blow me away. Just okay with great truck presentation.

I saw this truck near Universal today and noticed that they did post the sign advising that smoking is prohibited within 40 feet of food trucks, Better late than never. Thanks guys

I love small edible fried food that is awful for me, so I knew I wasn’t going to have a taste issue with the Cheeseball Wagon, and I didn’t at all. But, they weren’t the most amazing fried food I’ve ever had. The cheese inside each of these little nuggets isn’t runny as I thought it might be, its more like a mozzarella stick made with cheddar cheese. You know when you take a bite and the whole piece of cheese comes with it, albeit with some gooeyness to it, that’s what you’ll get with these suckers. I’m only giving them three stars because, even though I thought the food was good, it was just that, good. Maybe I’m jaded, maybe I expect too much out of life, but these cheese balls, though tasty going down, kind of just made me feel meh. They’re expensive at $ 7 a pop for a cute little handheld cone of them. But I guess I felt deceived. This cone doesn’t hold very many of these, and all in all I think we had maybe 12 cheese balls in it. That’s a little over .50 cents apiece, which put like that is a little astounding. I hate being someone who complains about price, and I know that’s exactly what I’m doing right now. But for a slice of cheese coated in crust and fried, I think maybe keeping it cheaper is a good idea. It seems they also have raised their prices already too and their portions have gotten smaller from the pictures on Unilocal. I’m not sad I tried them, and the lady who took my order was really friendly, they take cards(a $ 7 minimum is required, I take it that’s not a coincidence), and the food was good. I just feel like that $ 7 could have been better spent.

Seriously, who doesn’t love cheeseballs?! They bring back memories of the days of eating them at the fairs. I really loved my visit here. The service was friendly and awesome. And of course GREAT cheeseballs. The way they served it was nice, they have a small diping station at top of the cone(see picture) for added extra flavor to your cheeseballs. I’m sold! Can’t wait for more!

Cheeseball Wagon is very cute to look at. I like their logo and if you take a look at the picture of Ted he is really rocking that cheeseball shirt. Cheese is one of the major food groups right? I guess that’s why I was so excited when I saw the cheeseball truck right next to Barnes and Nobles last weekend. When at the cheeseball wagon you have to order the cheeseballs. That’s precisely what we did. The staff here was beyond exceptional. They were enthusiastic and bubbly. They made funny jokes and we all had a cheeseball good time.(that was not one of their funny jokes) For the three of us there was still too much cheeseball action in one serving. It’s deep fried and super crispy greasy. The cheese was good and I was worried that it would explode and burn my mouth. This did not happen thank goodness. But all in all it was a rather one noted experience. I have to say that their slider options looked very appealing. Hopefully I will get back to you on the potential joys of cheeseball sliderhood.

I’ve had my fair share of balls in my mouth… and sadly, these are not nearly the best balls I’ve ever placed in my mouth… «WORLDFAMOUS» CHEDDARCHEESEBALLS($ 6.50) Breaded then deep fried cheddar cheese nuggets served with a side of ranch. Pretty good… not too shabby… just nothing special. I seriously put these 2 balls in my mouth and gave the rest to the wife… and then she gave the rest to my niece… I never thought I’d say this but… TOOMANYBALLS! SLOPPYCHEESYCHAZSLIDER($ 2.50) Dude…it’s a mediocre sloppy joe with american cheese on a hawaiian roll… I can make half a dozen of these at my house for less than ten bucks… hardly any cheeeeeze by the way. see for yourself. I guess if you’re down for sloppy meat and hot balls in your mouth for under $ 10…this is the place!

I’m sorry, Wagon, for the two stars. You got those because everything was clean and fast and your online menu was accurate. Beyond that, I have several complaints: –Cheese? I don’t think American Cheese technically qualifies. I usually see it called«processed cheese food product.» I guess that would make your name unwieldy. But I was definitely hoping for some real cheese here. –No veggies whatsoever? OK, I did order a hot dog, so technically there was maybe a tablespoon of chopped onion on there, but beyond that, just meat, «cheese,» and bread? That’s a pretty narrow list of options. –My hot dog was pretty subpar, and the bacon/onion mixture had been prepared a little too far in the past. The dog wasn’t even a Boar’s Head or Hebrew National or anything. I’m not even sure it was an Oscar Meyer. I didn’t try the sloppy joes since I went to public school, and to me, a sloppy joe is just random old meat. I’d like to think yours are better than that, but judging on the quality of the hot dog, I’m not too optimistic. Sorry, again. I hate to write a bad review, but I’ve got to be honest to my fellow reviewers here.

So good! I came across this truck while up in LA. You can’t miss the eye catching truck and I knew I had to try it. There was a sizable line but moved quickly and definitely worth the wait. Everyone working the truck was extremely efficient, friendly and cheerful. I got the Cheeseballs and the Kobe hot dog generously topped with the most amazing homemade bacon, mustard, relish. By far, one of the best hot dogs I’ve ever had. And of course the Cheeseballs were awesome, unlike anything you have ever had or could ever hope to find in California. They are a must have! These two items completely filled me up, but my friend got an order of the Cheesecake balls and was raving about them and let me steal a bite. Unbelievably good! Delicious balls of cheesecake rolled in Graham cracker crumbs and dipped in a fresh blueberry sauce. I can’t wait to come across this truck again so I can sample their entire menu!
