This is the only time I’ve seen spa appointments work this way. You call a number and you get a person on the phone who is off-​site but finds you a masseuse/​masseur on-​call. Worked out pretty well for me! My hotel (Figueroa) did not offer on-​site services so the Checkers was a short distance away (a $ 3 cab ride post-​massage.) I got an seen within an hour. The massage was GREAT, the guy who did it was professional and courteous. The pressure was perfect. The ONLY reason I’m not giving it 5 stars is the soundproofing– there was a LOT of noise from the downtown hustle and bustle. I really appreciated the follow-​up call, too. They’ll get me back next time I am staying in Downtown LA.
