Chandler Murals

I can dig it.
Anything about food, sex, art, Denzel and the meaning of life, I’m about that. So when driving by these murals a couple of years ago, feeling like I’d spotted a mirage in the middle of a North Hollywood desert, I had to pull over and peep. Take a closer look at what seemed to be a great idea in the making… on which someone had dropped the ball.
Slightly similar to The Great Wall of LA off Coldwater, the Chandler Murals provides a small tidbit of history through the use of art (this one mostly of The Valley/​North Hollywood, and with a much shorter timeline). A few of the murals are meh… kinda don’t make sense in my opinion, but hey… it’s art. However, there are some that are quite colorful and breathe life into NoHo. I mean seriously, North Hollywood… if you’re gonna call yourself an «Arts District», then we need to see more of this. Show us more art.
I hope the city will get the ball rolling and add onto these murals again one day. Maybe finish what was started. I’m a firm believer that art is life, and where there is no art, the people perish. Okay… that was corny. Lol. But you don’t believe me? Take a look at the Inland Empire.
