We also ran into a case scenario similar to a reviewer(Sheryn). The pharmacy employee swore that the meds wasn’t good. Well, obviously that’s for the doctors to determine as well as us experiencing it. The lady also started to yell at my parents for asking questions about the medicine, in front of every one, mind you. So loud and slow as if my parents didn’t understand anything they were trying to say. My parents are of age, but they aren’t deaf or «retarded» like the lady made them seem(parents speak Cantonese, Mandarin, Vietnamese, and understands basic English). So if anyone should have the need to speak slow and more clear. are my parents towards her. My parents came few days late to get their meds because of other important priorities. What did the lady say? Well, my parents lost their $ 200 medicine because they didn’t get it in time. I don’t know what policy that is, but I know for fact, they didn’t lose their share of that money. While we sat here for 1.5hr wait, a Caucasian lady who dropped of her prescription form in the morning came in to pick up her meds(it was 4pm at this point). I overheard the same employee who gave us a hard time(speaking in Cantonese) say to the main pharmacist/supervisor, «crap, where’s her prescription form… She brought it in this morning. I can’t find it.» 1. You don’t say it out loud assuming no one else can understand. 2. Terrible customer service. 2 stars: One for being right down stairs of doctors, and second because we’ve been here for many years. This isn’t the first bad experience. But we tolerate it for it’s convenience.

The staff that works there is pretty decent. But today I had a run in with the head pharmacist. Don’t remember her name but she might be Taiwanese or from mainland China because she had a heavy Mandarin accent. We were heavily pressured into buying a Rx drug prescribed for my mom by her GI specialist. We respect and appreciate the technology that Western Medicine brings. It is definitely an advantage and benefit. But as far as the prescription drugs goes, we all know that it comes with a list of possible side effects that is not only taxing to the human body in general but most importantly, our filtering organs such as our liver and kidneys. So for someone who looks like they have been a pharmacist for at least a couple of decades telling the customer off that their belief in choosing a more holistic approach in healing/correcting the problem is wrong and to be a smart ass is not only rude but unprofessional. Her opinion was so rigid and knowing that Rx medication comes with side effects just makes me shake my head and say, «Unbelievable, you are a saleswoman at heart. Yes, please disregard your sense of human integrity and just sell! Don’t care about the potential aftermath that will come later on and exercise your classically trained Western mentality to the fullest that closes you off.» Even if you don’t agree with the customer ‘s point of view, still respect their human rights to choose for themselves. I’m sure you would want the same for yourself.
