BEWARE: Security guards here may or may not ASSAULT you for NO reason at all. So if you’re doing absolutely nothing wrong, be sure to watch your back at all times. Tried to contact management about it, but wasn’t able to reach them.

Huge venue. I saw Body Count there and the entrance method is ridiculous. Sound is good.

I’d never been to this place yet never heard of it either. The parking lot is small but for $ 5 parking its well worth it, there are hardly any parking spaces on the street. We came to see Ice T with Body Count which is a rare sight these days with Ice T being so busy with other ventures. They didn’t mail us the tickets in advance so we had to wait in a long line and show our ID at the ticket counter. The doors were supposed to open at 800pm and didn’t open until 830pm and the bands came on late also. But for the most part it was well worth it and we all had a great time. The only thing that bothered me was that they charge $ 2 for a cup of tap water, I’ve never been to a place that does this, it pissed a lot of people off.

Fuck… This… Place I came here last night(October 2nd) for the Twiztid concert and I will never be returning. I parked off Bronson right in front of a wall that was tagged with MSx13, what a way to start a night. The entire venue smells terrible. They charge $ 2 for tap water. The group’s time management was handled horribly. The main act didn’t get off stage until 2 a.m. The entire venue is just disgusting and I hated everything about it. I don’t care one bit who will ever play here because I will never return here.

Wow, what can I say about Catch One? I went here last Saturday and was expecting a much different crowd. Thinking there would be wanna-be grunge kids, with their cheap all black clothes from downtown LA. I can vibe with that, somewhat. What I got was a totally hip hop crowd, in jeans and too-little shirts with all the rear end jelly in the world. I arrived around 11pm but when I was ready to go, around 1am, that’s when everyone began arriving. I chalk this up to the old tried and mostly true stereotype of CPT(Colored People’s Time). When leaving around 1a, the dance floor was packed, which is always a good thing. There are multiple rooms which is really awesome. A few complaints: I had no idea what the music was. I wouldn’t have minded grooving to a few Top 40s jams but what I got was straight up and down underground Hip Hop and Rap– good thing I can shake it fast to anything. My man and I had our own private booth so I could give him some personal attention. Even if the oooglers wanted to ooogle, no one was close enough to check out the goods but my partner. I walked here from a friend’s house, thank goodness because if you drive here from somewhere far, you may be disappointed. But it is, though, a nice option for locals. Overall, I had a decent time because I like to have fun no matter what, but I am used to a more upscale environment.

Lawd have Mercy… where do i start??? There are some things in life that once you experience them, one never has the need to experience such things again… this club was that experience for me! Blegh. Two stripper poles, gogo dancers. Let’s just say, my highlight was the man that worked the stripper pole like I’ve never seen it worked before! I don’t ever need to come back to this joint… EVER.

As someone who has been going to Das Bunker for years and never had a problem I felt I had to speak up and review Catch One and their absolutely horrific security. In the past few months they have decided to have a female security guard pat down the female patrons. I have no problem opening my bag and showing my purse contents to security, but the pat down is intrusive and completely unnecessary. I felt like I was being felt up by this one woman in particular and I, like most people, do NOT like having my personal space violated or being manhandled by strangers. Especially rude ones. The past few Fridays I have made it a point to take off my jacket so that it was obvious that I was not trying to smuggle anything in. I wear leggings and tank tops mostly, no pockets and no reason to pat me down. This was also a deterrent to the extremely uncomfortable«hands underneath the bra maneuver» that I have endured time and time again from this security guard. As someone who goes to clubs regularly and never does drugs, smokes and rarely drinks this being treated like a common criminal treatment is beyond annoying. This particular security guard knows this and seeing my annoyance week after week takes extra special time looking in every single crack and crevice in my bag(Although she barely glanced at the bag of the person in front of me) almost spilling the entire contents on the floor. After enduring yet another unnecessary pat down I finally get my bag back and start to walk up the stairs and she screams at me «Hey! Are you disrespecting me!!! Get back here!» I had no idea what she was talking about, but she continues screaming her head head off that I needed to come back down the stairs. So, finally I do(If, for no other reason, morbid curiosity… and the fact that she is so angry it looks like her head might explode.) I have done nothing wrong, and have acquiesced to every demand thus far, with mild annoyance. She proceeds to get in my face and yell at me that I was«disrespecting» her by «snatching» my bag back from her(okay…) So …she harasses me, violates my personal space, makes a point of manhandling me inappropriately, screams in my face and«I» am «Disrespecting» her. Right… Everyone around — patrons and male security looked at her like she was completely crazy. I just looked at her and said… whatever. Then went inside and enjoyed my night. This person obviously has serious issues and in my opinion, should be fired for this completely unprofessional behavior. I can only imagine what she does to other people. Seriously ridiculous. I love Bunker, and I will miss it being a weekly event, but I most definitely will not miss the psychotic security at this venue.

Oh the line, the line. A moment of silence for Das Bunker which is the reason I came to this venue, since it has gone on to greener pastures. Hearing that this club was closing motivated me to experience a los anglese institution before it said goodbye. I really liked the the set up everything from from the Haecneda death stairs with mirrors to dance with yourself to the the 70 disco light set up in the main room. The venue has a very old feel to it that provides everything from bars on every floor to the a small lounge are to either look or be seen or just dance in the dark. The parking is get there early kind of deal

The catch has been an old time fav of mine. I gave it 3 stars cause their are some pros and some cons. it use to be 21 and over but now that its 18 and over its changed. Pros:(Saturdays) Great music… love it its very large in the inside, i hate small, i cant move around type clubs 2 large bar areas, good drink prices Its always $ 10 and has been for years Its open til 4am Cons: Location(yes its in the hood) The restrooms aren’t the cleanest The fact that its 18 and over now has brought in a younger crowd which is a problem at times with young people not knowing how to act Anywho, its a cool place to hear great music and dance. I love watching the go go boys, their a mess on stage lol… oh i love the chicken downstairs on the patio too. its sooo good lol

A multistory venue that may or may not produce eargasms. With moderately high security, the Catch One is a must for those seeking a high volume party setting yet want to stray away Hollywood. Throughout the year, the organizers for Friday’ night’s Das Bunker, Frank H Bomb and others fill the venue – sometimes to capacity– with Deejays, live performances and memorable décor. Multiple themed nights encourage attendees to dress to impress– from the post-labor day white party, military fashion night or the star wars«May the 4th» night, a night a Das Bunker is not soon to be forgotten.

Back in 2008, I was excited to go to this club called«Das Bunker» once I turned 18 I went up to L.A. with some friends expecting to have a good time since my friends already went there they had positive comments to make about the place. Unfortunately for me, my experience is by far so not pleasant one bit. Don’t get me wrong the building and dance floor is spacious; however, the bartenders were charging you more than once for your tab, I witness it happening to my friends and people I did not know asking for a refund since they would charge for drinks that were not order, the bartenders were excuse themselves saying that the music was too loud; my feeling told me that was not the case. During that time, cups of water was free the bartender was glaring at me and denied me water but everyone I watched including my friends were given water. I spoke to the manager in charge and he told me he did not like me and he had the right to not give me water. He told me I had to buy an alcoholic drink and I told him I was under 21. I wanted to know if he was the manager for real and he said that he owned The Catch One. The next morning I called The Catch One and discovered the owner was actually a women named Jewel and that there is no other manager. I told her the story regarding the bartender denying me a cup of water because he didn’t like me and he actually grabbed my hand when he looked me in the eyes; she did not seem to care or seem to be interested. I will never return to The Catch One due to weak customer service management and a bartender obviously not acknowledging the fact that not everyone is 21 and over while demanding the guests to buy a drink plus overcharging/double charging a beverage more than once.

We live in San Diego and got tickets to a special event at Jewel’s Catch One. Since we had never been there before and would be arriving in downtown LA close to 9PM I called and left a voicemail inquiring about parking, seating, and other details. Jewel herself called me back and made sure we had all the information we needed. This made the entire experience smooth and easy. When we arrived we had a fantastic time; the bartenders and bouncer/security folks, and in fact everyone working at the club were really nice, friendly people who made us feel welcome. A really great experience and a really fun club. Thanks!

CATCHONE is «Ground Zero» for Industrial Music in the NATION SITREP CATCHONE is the venue that hosts the über-fantastic event DASBUNKER — the foremost and longest running Industrial Club in California. So this review for all intents and purposes is about CATCHONE on Friday nights when the event DASBUNKER occurs. MEDIASHOUT-OUT CATCHONE certainly benefits from the incredible and positive P.R. it receives with the event DASBUNKER. It is a mutual-symbiotic relationship of positive energy. As the L.A.WEEKLY said about CATCHONE and DASBUNKER, «Industrial kids are a committed bunch, and we’re not just talking about the fashion: painful colored contacts, scalp-stretching cyber-dreads or 8 inch high stacks that make some of ‘em tread like Herman Munster on the dance floor(though these looks are ominous and impressive)…Das Bunker… arguably [is] the biggest and best Industrial night in LA(some say all of the U.S.).» L.A.WEEKLY — April 5, 2011. … VENUESETUP CATCHONE is on Pico Blvd, and it is a HUGE venue with a huge BALLROOM upstairs, a large dance room and separate bar downstairs, and a second large dance room further down the hall from the 1st one. The CATCHONE, whether providing a venue-event location that promotes the talents of Industrial DJs in the L.A. area or from elsewhere, it features a tight, synchronized environment that dance-patrons and music-fans can rely on to enjoy Industrial music from around the world. At CATCHONE, the featured DASBUNKER DJs But at CATCHONE, the DASBUNKER event-night would be nothing without it’s DJs. Like a STEEL framework that everything depends upon, they are the heart & soul of this Industrial movement and have included over my patronage these very talented individuals: * FRANCK H-BOMB * AMANDAJONES * GERBER * REVERENDJOHN * THEOPERATIVE * TRAUMA «FLUXCAPACITOROVER-DRIVE!» With the CATCHONE, DASBUNKER capitalizes upon it’s connections in the Industrial-scene and brings incredible talent to the Los Angeles. DJ Franck HBomb and the team brings many talented bands(or their members) to perform and/or DJ. VNV Nation, Aesthetic Perfection, Rotersand, Imperative Reaction, CombiChrist, etc. etc., are always moving through DASBUNKER. THELOWDOWN On Friday Nights @ THECATCHONE, the event DASBUNKER will fully engage you and rock you all night long!

I like DASBUNKER on Friday nights. Cool people, stiff drinks, and great industrial dance music. The best thing happening at Jewel’s Catch One is GROUNDCONTROL, alternative karaōke, on Monday nights. The song list is as extensive as it is eclectic. Not only can you find every Beatles or Elvis song, but also the Smitsh/Morrissey, Nick Cave, Kraftwerk, or Showtunes. Still don’t see a song you want to sing? You might be able to download it and sing it that night. There are even some«homemade tracks» that were produced for Ground Control that you won’t find anywhere else. Everyone on staff is really nice. Regardless if it’s your first time there, or if you’ve been going for years, someone will come up to say hello. The patrons are very supportive. Back up dancers are common, and an occassional«air band» may pop up. If you need some liquid courage before your performance, drinks are cheap and very stiff. BESTKARAOKECLUBINLA!

It’s pretty much the only place where stuff happens in mid city if you want to go out within walking/decent biking distance. Things that are constant about this place no matter when you go 1– Not a very good beer selection. 2– Drinks are extremely strong. Even if you can drink like a champ you will most likely have a hangover the next morning. 3– The doors open 20 – 30 minutes after they say that they will open. Without fail. 4– The bartenders are pretty awesome here. Ground Control: On Monday’s they have karaōke which is pretty fun. Everyone is extremely nice and it’s a smaller group of regulars that are hanging around. Das Bunker: Friday nights are usually a good time, even if you are not into industrial music it’s very easy to mingle. I’ve left Das Bunker with a greater appreciation for power noise each time. Catch One: Saturday nights. It’s ok, not really worth the $ 10 cover but the old school room was pretty decent.

I notice most people are raving about Das Bunker on Friday nights, but my favorite thing about Catch One has actually been their karaōke on Monday nights — Ground Control. It’s all the staples of karaōke — cheap drinks, tons of songs, supportive crowd — except that most of the patrons singing their hearts out are still in their complete goth get up, and the club itself is still dark and dungeon-esque. Sometimes they even sell fetish clothes in the back. That said, there is absolutely no pressure to get all glammed up. It’s completely casual, really. I always go in a T shirt and jeans, sometimes even my nerdy work clothes, and have never felt out of place. It’s a feast for the eyes but also a really fun place to sit back and drink. I suggest the screwdrivers.

This place is a lot bigger than I thought it was going to be! 3 full bars, 2 dance floors, and smoking patio. Lots of seating all around the walls and a few brass poles for the ladies and sometimes for the men too! Free parking on the streets.(Das Bunker’s) sound system was awesome!

Just to make it clear, I’m not goth/raver/or anything dark or industrial. The reason I visited this place was because my boyfriend was in to «industrial» and«goth» stuff. So I decided to give it a go. Not knowing much about this club, I went in with jeans and a black tank top… no make up and my hair was just how it always looks like. Even though I stuck out like a sore thumb, everyone was nice to me and told me they’d like it if they saw more of me in the weeks to follow. It costs $ 10 to get in and you need to be 18+(have a valid I.D. please) The club has 3 dance rooms, they play techno/industrial and the main stage upstairs. The 2 rooms are located downstairs where they play 2 different types of goth music(yea, like I said, i don’t know much about«goth») They have 3 bars, 2 upstairs and 1 downstairs. They have 3 lounges. 3 indoors(upstairs near the bar, the only floor on the second floor behind the dj booth, and the bottom floor near the computers) where you can sit and chat and 1 outside where you can smoke and eat bbq or some other food like taco or something(LoL!) They also have a coat check(it’s like $ 3) The bouncers, security, and bartenders were nice too… even though they looked intimidating they’re very friendly and are very easy to talk to. I’m not a dancer but with the music and atmosphere the club provided, I was dancing at one of the poles they had by the end of the night!(And no, I wasn’t even drunk! hahaha!) Everyone was easy-going and are anti-drama. Only close-minded people would think that the club is a ‘scary/awkward’ place to be. I like it and I strongly recommend it to everyone! Even if you’re not into«goth» music!!! You’ll have a good time =D Das is Da ShiiiZZz!
