This is a hidden gem! The food is amazing and so are the prices. You can pick up some great chocolate and amazing coffee. The place is clean and the proprietor is delightful.

Couldn’t decide between CJs across the street or Casa Chocolate we decide to try a new place. So glad we chose this place, the service was great the décor was cool and my café Mocha was delicious along with the quesadilla. I will definitely be back.

Their food is delicious and their chocolate and strawberries are amazing. I’ve been here two times, breakfast and dinner. The breakfast is decent but their dinner is what I really enjoyed. I order their salmon dinner and risotto. Their risotto was some of the best risotto I have ever had. Their chocolate covered strawberries are juicy and big and their chocolate covered peacans(dont remember what they call them), maybe turtles are better than See’s candies.

My favorite place to grab hot chocolate with croissant. Come here often to grab these items to go; but have also sat down to have breakfast. The items are delicious, definitely a place to try!

This is one of our favorite places. We go here all the time. All the food is delicious(especially lucky omelette and the ham&cheese panini). Also the coffee mocha with almond milk is delicious.

Always been a fan but today, that all changed. We ordered rice with tofu. We found a short hair on the plate and the Tofu was still rock hard frozen. I ordered French toast with maple syrup and after it was served 5 minutes later(as it was getting cold) I found out they ran out of Maple syrup. Service really didn’t care, cashier tried to charge me and argued rather than show compassion and regret. I will never come back, mostly because of the way the staff treated us.

I love there ham and cheese panini unfortunately I received ham cheese and eggs instead. It was ok but wish I could of had my panini. Didn’t send it back, I didn’t want it to get thrown away but it was still good.

A small neighborhood place with a surprisingly large menu. Ask for a menu and order at the counter. The kale/quinoa salad was bright and beautiful. My husband went to the other end of the spectrum with a cheeseburger and fries. He described the burger as freshly made, not a frozen patty. Park underground for free and enjoy homey meal.

Came here for breakfast. I had their chilaquiles and my bf had their pesto turkey omelette. Also had their passion fruit drink. It was delicious!

I came here to have a coffee and study for a few hours. Tried the mocha latte which was pretty good but nothing I haven’t had before. I got there at 3 thinking that they closed at 5 according to their Unilocal page, but they actually close at FOUR! Everyday. It’s a nice place with a cool vibe but probably won’t be back to do studying after work. I’m still willing to try it out for brunch though. I’ll be back with an update if I ever do.

This is based on my GrubHub order. I usually have a great experience when I go to Casa Chocolate and I love having it within walking distance from my apt. However, I ordered delivery today because I am home sick and I was thoroughly disappointed. Chilaquiles — Completely wet and soggy chips. Perhaps consider a new way to store this item for better delivery(like how phở comes all compartmentalized) or list on your site that this item does not fair well for delivery. Upon arrival, it was literally just a box of mush and beans. French Toast — Pretty standard except no syrup was provided. Delivery Staff — A few minutes late and was chatting away on her phone during our brief interaction. She could not even stop her conversation to say hello or thank you. I really regret providing a tip as part of the GrubHub order. I plan to give Casa Chocolate another chance, but I would not recommend ordering delivery from them.

My boyfriend and I like to stop here to get coffee while we walk our dogs every now and then. It is the only place I know where you can get a mocha latte that tastes just like hot chocolate with caffeine. Also, their breakfast burritos are pretty tasty for when you’re too lazy to cook breakfast!

This place is absolutely delicious. My gf and I woke up craving egg florentine and eggs benedict. I had eaten lunch here before and was impressed. We walked down there around 11 on Saturday and it was busy but not overwhelming. They made adjustments for my gf’s pickiness and we grabbed a seat. The food was very very good. I got the crab cake eggs benedict, holy moly. Th florentine was delicious as well(my gf thought it could use less florentine sauce). The service was great as well. Came up and took plates away as we finished and brought us an extra little plate when we ate our chocolate filled croissant(I know, fatties). Will definitely be back.

8 months ago I moved from Chicago to Los Angeles. My first morning here we walked down the Casa Chocolate with my best friend and 2 dogs. You order up front at the register, you sit and they bring everything out to you. We ordered the chilaquiles and 2 vanilla iced coffees. That day I became obsessed with chilaquiles. I could eat them everyday! This review is based only off of these 2 items. I’ve had the chilaquiles 8 times now! They use a salsa verde in them and the eggs are done any style you want. *Get the beans on the side to prevent the chilaquiles from becoming to watery* The coffee is Ground Works and it is just perfect. Service is friendly, it’s dog friendly, and the price isn’t to shabby. Please support this local restaurant on the corner of Pico and Hauser!!! They have a parking garage! Don’t forget to tip these hard working employees too. The fiancé and roommate have the breakfast burrito every time we go and it is very good, it’s just not my chilaquiles!

Came in here with a positive mind, place looked clean. Ordered a panini, salad, and a waffle. Everything looked great when it arrived. However my salad was flavorless. And the panini was empty. The panini was supposed to bring onions, avocado, mayo, chicken, and cheese. But i basically just got a panini with chicken and mayo ugh! It was ok but not coming back.

Excellent! So excited this place opened up just across the street from my b/f. I can cruise over for a cup of coffee or get a full on breakfast(or lunch for that matter). Their breakfast goodies look yummy and the food I saw coming from the kitchen looked great, too. They have inside and OUTSIDE seating. The place has a really nice vibe. Everyone I have interacted with there are super friendly and get the order right the 1st time — love that! The fresh squeezed OJ is super delicious, too. They have a water bowl out if you bring your pet, which I did. And, they even brought my coffee out to me while I was checking on the boys; unexpected and appreciated for sure.
