Really good spot! Daily customer and the burgers never disappoint. The fries are also a really nice benefit if you want to fill your stomach. It’s a hidden gem worth going too. Service is pretty fast which is a plus

Rude and unprofessional … They were very rude to my wife when she went to the window for a phone order. And the last time placed an order. I was skipped over by two other customers. Burgers are good. But the two dirty clothed wearing cooks need to go. And what’s up with that ugly menu?!

Very generic but good burgers and fries, but super cheap. Got a double cheeseburger and fries for $ 7.

For about seven bucks you can get a giant serving of delicious chili cheese fries and a vanilla shake made the proper way. That means for about seven bucks you can be super full and feel American AF. The only thing to keep in mind is that they are cash only. If you peek inside and see the rotary phone on the wall, you might get a good idea on why they don’t have the tech to accept debit/credit. Solid four out of five. I’m excited to try more items on the menu which is hand painted on the wall with a jumbo sharpie.

Best burger joint! Been going here for about 4 years now with my boyfriend. Cheap. Very affordable. 2 cheeseburgers, one pound of fries, and 2 canned sodas for $ 10.75!

for a really popular burger joint, it’s really not all that great. I had their double cheeseburger w/fries, and the burger buns were really soggy & sloppy. maybe they weren’t having a good day I suppose. I give it up for their fries tho. they were pretty good. also, THEYDON’T DOTHOUSANDISLANDSAUCE!!! please change that. all in all. I wouldn’t go there for the burger again. maybe not ever go again period.

Capitol is the OG best f*n burger in LA, hands down. Every time I have one, I crave another for 3 days — it’s dirty, wet, cheap and greasy. Just how a burger should be . Life without Capitol burger around the corner would suck. Straight up.

A true Los Angeles icon. This place has been around before I was born. My father use to take me here after baseball games and practices. You can’t go wrong with their cheeseburgers nor can you go wrong especially with their chili cheese fries. If someone you know says he/she is from LA and has never been to this place, that person is not from LA.

I stopped by on Sunday. I previously tried their chili fries that my friend picked up as take out and thought they were amazing. He did warn me the owner/employee there wasn’t friendly to a lot of people. I went on Sunday and order a double cheese burger and the chili fries. Service was bad, employee/owner was rude and acted angry at the world. Typically LA D-bag that might have a crystal meth or heroin problem. Double cheeseburger was nothing spectacular. Chili fries were solid, but not worth dealing with bad service.

OK, this is my new Favorite Burger spot in this part of town. After being under impressed my first time I’m getting the hang of it. I go double chili burger $ 3.75(what!?) the chili is free. They put lettuce, tomatoe and large chunks of onion with mustard. I’ve seen the chili fries and they are massive, can’t wait to have room for them after 2 doubles! Yup, what’s better than a great hamburger… Another One! Caution, this place can be slow. If you are in a hurry make sure there is no line or comeback. This is a 2 – 3 man operation.

I’ve always passed by this place for work, but didn’t think too much about it. However, seeing a banner saying it was on Food Paradise and named #1 Old School burger stand, I had to check it out. Had a cheeseburger and fries for my first visit(so many fries!). The meal came out to less than six dollars. Satisfying and cheap, can’t go wrong. I was so satisfied that I went back the next day(also because I wouldn’t be in the area again anytime soon since I was moving locations for work) and got the pastrami and fries. The pastrami is all you need. The fries were overkill. The pastrami is very filling and worth the $ 9.50. Easily one of the best pastrami sandwiches I’ve had. Capitol Burgers is now listed under my bookmarks and I definitely recommend that everyone take a visit, but probably not vegetarians because your choices are pretty limited lol.

Always friendly. You can totally share the fries but I choose not to. Definitely not diet friendly food. I usually can divide the food into two meals. Lol They close really early to me but that’s just because I’m spoiled by all these 24⁄7 spots in LA.

I’ve been coming here since before I could eat, and my Grampa even used to come here. Basically this place is timeless and consistent. A Los Angeles staple. They make burgers the way they’ve always made burgers, they make pastrami the same way they’ve always made pastrami; the right way. The only thing that has changed is the prices, they have gone up. Which is to be expected over the years but dang, pastramis used to be $ 6.50! Now they are $ 9.50 :( Over all you should get the pastrami With fries –fries here are perfect almost shoestring but also a little fat with the perfect amount of grease– it’s just a great meal. And if you’re tiny like me you can split it into two meals!

Dudes. Right on. This is how you do a great burger. It was yum. They stuff it with generous, fresh ingredients and serve it up hotter and quicker than a cheap date –well, you know what I mean. I love these places that have a dated, faded out signs, bars on the windows and a line of eager customers waiting for some of the best grub you can get(if you aren’t a snob). Go. Try. You’re welcome.

I am hard pressed to find a burger that I like as much as a popular CA burger joint. I read the reviews on this place and decided to try it out. We pulled up and were very scared. What is this place? Does it even have an A? Well, I checked, it does. I started chatting with the guys inside and they were really nice. There were only two of them, so it took awhile to get our food, but we also had 6 orders. We took it back to our office and everyone was pumped. The fries were bountiful and tasty and the burgers were YUM. I was not expecting a burger that fresh to come out of that tiny little building as much as I was expecting a myriad of other bad things. But you aren’t supposed to judge a book by it’s cover, but by it’s Unilocal reviews right?

Beautiful. They’ve managed to have a superior version of flavor and texture that can be found in an In and Out burger. The fries are perfect. They taste fresh cut on site and homemade. The portions are generous. The ketchup is a nice mix of sweet and savory. It’s a straight-up shack and the benches are few, but it does the job. I had the chocolate milkshake. It was like a more flavorful McDs shake. I haven’t frequented McDs in 10 years or so, but you don’t forget certain things. Delicious. Will visit again.
