Reopened by owners as Ecuadorian restaurant. Really excited … the Seco DE gallina… amazing. chicken stew with cilantro lemon and spices… fried sweet bananas and yellow rice… let me quit blabbing and eat. Sad part only served on weekends. They are going to have the fifa Ecuador games as well… Full bar, on Sundays Live Entertainment from what I’m told.

Found a deal on Groupon for the food. The place was completely emptied when we showed up which should have been a sign. Flies kept flying over our food. Enough.

The food is great! But it’s been completely empty both times that we’ve been there. Once for dinner and once for lunch. Both during the middle of the week. Maybe the late night weekends are different?

I was excited to try this place and enjoy yummy Columbian food. I went a few weeks ago with my BF during dinner time. The place was desolate. It was dark from the outside and absolutely nobody inside. We decided not to go inside until we read some current positive reviews– maybe we will finally use the Groupon one day. ..

Went for lunch yesterday with our Groupon. Many items on the appetizer menu were not available — same with the main courses. Extremely slow service — after about 40 minutes our smoothie arrived(I ordered mango and they were out). We finally got 3 appetizers — empanada corn pancake which was tastless and some fried yucca. Partner ordered a steak with yucca, vegetables, salad and beans — just the steak arrived, no salad, no beans, just a vague«Im sorry» from they server. I ordered the oxtail soup and since it was so long in coming, I asked for it to go, This was a giant disappointment and the first Groupon that was sorely lacking.

Last night I went to Cancun Olé during their regular business hours. There was a sign in Spanish on the front door instructing customers to go around the corner to the back door. My date and I walked around the corner through a formidable dark alley, where we found that there was no security. Upon finding the entrance, we waited to be seated. After a short delay, the concierge approached us and said that they were having a special affair that evening. If we were going to eat there, we would have to sit in the back of the restaurant. We turned around and walked back to the rear of the restaurant. There were tables overcrowded with apparent employees who were having dinner in a cramped space that seem to be an extension of the kitchen. I’d say the people there were employees because they were dressed as waiters, in matching vest and pants with white shirts. I had never been so embarrassed on a date in my life. I declined and left the restaurant abhorred. Honestly, I had high hopes for Cancun Olé. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Great place for salsa dancing. Need better customer service. But it’s okay I go here because my husband loves salsa.

Don’t let the name deceive you, this is a Colombian restaurant! And a good one too. Delicious empanadas, good service, good music, and a bar, what else could you want? –1 star because I came during the day and it was HOT in there!

This restaurant was ok. We ordered a «cazuela de mariscos» $ 15 and that was yummy. Basically it’s seafood in a coconut sauce. Also ordered a plate called«sobrebarriga» which was like pulled tri tip roast with creole style sauce and rice and yucca for $ 10. It was ok. I wouldn’t order it again. I’m also not very fond of the yucca in general. Also tried the chicken arepa $ 3 and it was not too good. The corn patty seemed undercooked or like it was missing something. Also tried one small beef empanada for $ 1.25 and this was decent. Since it was my first Colombian restaurant I don’t have anything to compare it but I would hope it’s better elsewhere. If I came back here I would only order the coconut seafood and that’s it. This is a small restaurant and there is parking in the back. Service was good. We had a late dinner(9pm) so by 10pm the club people were arriving because on Saturdays there is salsa & Cumbia music for dancing for a $ 10 cover.

I found this place using the EAT24 app. The food was delicious! I ordered tacos, empanadas and a bandeja paisa. This was for two people but we had plenty left over. I’m so happy that this restaurant delivers. The estimated delivery time was 45 – 60 minutes and the food came in 50. I will definitely be ordering the empanadas again because they were so tasty. I look forward to trying other goodies!

Great customer service as we were constantly checked on. Churrasco was good and the Patacon con todo was spot on. The mora and lulo juices were also good. It was nice being in a Colombian restaurant in East LA, and will definately will come back. Definately recommend!

I cannot believe we just happened to stumble upon this place! The first Colombian restaurant in East L.A. My Husband spotted it since the Colombian flag hangs at the entrance and rear. At night I guess it’s a club/bar. The menu was typed and Had the restaurant name. We ordered Bandeja plato, arepas con todo and empanadas(which were very small) yes they serve beer $ 2.50 for Corona was great. The rice. Beans and maduros were awesome. The cool Kiki came out to check on us. I am definitely coming back! Tuesday 3−8pm beer is happy hour. The service was good for a new place

First off the charge you an entrance fee wich is totally not worth the«club ambiance» arrived at around 10 and it was lonely… and all they play is merengue music, no variety! Over priced drinks to top it off.
