Cameron O’Connor

A phenomenal guitarist and a fantastic guitar teacher, that I have had the privilege to train under for the past two years; eager for many more.
Like many other guitarists, I have had the zest to learn and understand music and be able to apply it for over a decade. I have crossed my path with many and could not have found myself one who is so knowledgable about music theory and proficient in the techniques involved in playing the classical guitar. I must add, he has helped me greatly even with issues that I faced with playing the electric guitar.
My personal inclination is toward classical music and progressive metal. To understand music, I took a dive into playing the classical guitar. Under Cameron, I have learnt to play pieces of Sor, Bach and others. He has even introduced me to the American Guitar Society where I have performed a Bach piece. His patience as a teacher and his depth in classical music, is remarkable.
I have watched him perform and each time he further excels himself.

Cameron played guitar for my wedding ceremony and he was absolutely fantastic. On top of that, he is also incredibly nice and easy to talk to. He was patient, listened to all of my thoughts, and was always available to answer questions. I gave him the songs we had chosen for the processional and he instrumentalized them beautifully for the occasion. I could not have asked for a better person to help plan the music!

Cameron is an excellent teacher. He has helped me not only improve my technical and musical abilities but also develop a better ear for music. With his help it has become much easier to recognize what sounds and techniques are effective and how I can learn them. When choosing a piece of music to work on, Cameron always picks something that fits my my goals and will help me develop skills that will allow me to express myself more fully on the guitar. In the five years that I have played guitar, I have without a doubt learned the most from Cameron, and I highly recommend him to anyone interested in the guitar.
