Loved that this place has so many seats including an upstairs seating. The coffee is very dark and strong if that’s your thing. The Internet was free and easy to use. It’s a little grungy — very silver lake, and I did find the barista a little rude. It’s also one of those places that isn’t clear where the line is and they act like you are dumb for not knowing. Another pro tho was that the latte was a little cheaper than other places, because they have three sizes so you can get a small.

Best coffee shop in the area. Once you become a regular the staff is nicer to you because they know you’re not a crazy. Cold brew is solid. Ask about a bean and they’ll give you some info without rolling their eyes at you. Sometime Keith Morris from Circle Jerks and Black Flag walks in like a lucky little leprechaun. He always makes me smile with the fun stories he shares with the baristas. If I wrote this review a week ago, I would have given Caffe Vita 4 stars but I got lazy the other day and went to Bru up the street instead. That was a mistake! I took one of their stars and hooked up CV with it out of spite. Keep up the good work CV.

I was recommended here by a friend many months ago, and after seeing the long line at Alfred’s I decided to finally take the plunge. Parking for me was surprisingly easy to find outside of the barbershop next door, plus! At first glance, you wouldn’t realize the amount of space this location offers. Upstairs, downstairs, and plenty of seating for all. The space is open and offers just enough lighting. I stepped up to order a vanilla iced latte to go, but was informed by the cashier that they don’t do vanilla. Now I can accept that, but there was a snooty undertone in my opinion. God forbid it’s my first time and I don’t know you have vanilla, sorry! Anyway, I ordered a simple iced latte to go. The service was quick, and the coffee is good. Overall, a decent experience. Will have to try again.

Welcoming friendly service. Great drip coffee… smooth, rich taste. One small cup gives me the perfect caffeine pep to get the work session in full gear. Love that they have a water filter for times when I’m there for a few hours. Caffeine + hydration is a good matchup… that’s responsible drinking. Just had a caffe latte with almond milk and had to pause before driving off just to enjoy it, which says a lot considering I’m always doing multiple things at once. The taste is reminiscent of high quality dark chocolate. Temperature was perfect, texture was smooth and creamy. I felt cozy as I sipped it, almost like drinking hot cocoa on a cold day as you are snuggled up in front of a bonfire pit… Price tag of my medium latte stung a bit at $ 5.16 due to the almond milk but the quality is right-on. No bitter aftertaste or yuck yuck coffee breath. I don’t see Starbucks in my near future after this, especially considering they don’t carry almond milk. Plus after having a few cups here at Caffe Vita I have a feeling coffee else where will just be disappointing.

Got their small Americano for 3.50 which I would say is expensive for the tiny cup I got. It also was really acidic and gave me bad gas for the rest of the day. The place itself is dimly lit which I’m not a huge fan of. Would have given it 2 stars, but they have these cool chairs made out of skateboards that are nice for chilling in as you look out onto sunset boulevard. Would recommend dinosaur coffee down the block.

I like their chai tea latte but I’m a little annoyed they charge $ 4 for like a small cup. This place gets 4 stars though because their barista is super personable and has a sexy accent, which is sort of a pick me up(aka friendly service!). Aaaand really this place deserves a high rating because it’s a great place to hang out and there are outlets galore! Plus it’s not this overrated snooty place — which makes it all the better. Worth a stop!

I got a small almond chai and it was good. A little sweet, a little pricey. Great upstairs area to write or read or do something where you mark your territory for a while. The drinks are made very quickly, so it’s an easy in and out if necessary.

Caffe Vita is a freelancer’s slice of heaven — good coffee, free wifi, ample seating and plugs, and a tolerable playlist of diverse songs. Caffe Vita is a good place for anyone who needs to get some work done. Two stories with plenty of seating and outlets, the coffeeshop has quite the ambiance with its art and eclectic music. The staff is friendly, it doesn’t get too noisy, and the atmosphere is comfortable. The reasonably-priced coffee is good, but it isn’t my favorite(I do prefer Dinosaur Coffee above all).

Ryan served his trademarked grin and a surprise … an exceptional Half-Caf Quad Almond Gibraltar. Matched with Pistachio Tangerine croissant … before some lazy Valley Girl invented OMG she must have tasted something extraordinarily exceptional in her mouth. Go try.

Coffee shops are sort of a thing in L.A. and Vita definitely comes in at the top of the list. 1. Playlist is super study friendly. I get a shit ton done each time. 2. Baristas are amazingly friendly. 3. Ambiance at whole makes getting writing/shit done. Also, art is on point.

First, let me say that there are so many things that I love about Caffe Vita. The drinks are a reasonable price/delicious, and I love the spacious vibe, ample seating, outlets, and general perfect work environment for getting work done or meeting with a friend/business associate. The staff, for the most part, is incredibly lovely. Normally I would give this place 5+ stars. I have been coming here regularly for about a year now but decided to take my business elsewhere after numerous terrible interactions with an employee(a manager, no less!) He has an utterly awful attitude with no consideration for customer satisfaction. On at least three occasions, he has come up and accosted me rudely about whether I’m getting a drink or not within five minutes of arriving. Of course I’m getting a drink– I always get one, and I just sat down. Give me a minute! No one else has ever done this. Most recently, he was playing some super aggressive punk rock at a way too loud of a volume. A couple of customers and I commented to each other how distracting it was– I came down and politely asked him if he could change it, and he basically told me he didn’t care at all what I thought– to deal with it– and finished it off with a rude crooked smile and«ENJOY!» He then proceeded to play it for another several hours when it would have taken 15 seconds to change to literally anything else. No one is asking for classical music, dude, we just don’t want to feel anxious while trying to get our work done. This man carries a palpable contempt for the customer with a complete disregard for their experience, and is in general one of the rudest people I have met working in the service industry. I reactivated my 4 year old Unilocal account just to write this review, that’s how bad it is. I’ve met other people who have had similar bad experiences with him. Everyone else who works here is incredible, and the place really special. It doesn’t deserve to have a bad reputation over a spiteful employee with an attitude problem.

Love that they use Rishi Chai concentrate for their chai lattes. That alone will keep me coming back. Not to mention the Califia almond milk they have as a milk alternative. Their coffee is up there w/Intelligentsia and other high quality coffee roasters. Parking is the only thing that sucks about this place but it’s Silverlake/E. Hollywood so what do you expect? So I remember reading somewhere that 10 shots of espresso can kill a healthy adult… random, but scary thought. I guess thats why you’ll never ever hear of a coffee drinking contest. Well if you ever decide to get brave and challenge a fellow coffee fiend at Caffè Vita there’s a nearby hospital down the street. You’ll be a hop, skip and a jump away from resuscitation. Say NO to espresso overdoses!

It was fine… I love checking out new coffee roasters, but their coffee was only ok. I liked the Cuvee Coffee that I got at HomeState much better. Because these two places are so close just go to HomeState and get better coffee and awesome tacos. Oh, one more thing… can we cool it with the whole cold brew thing? Why would you want to take good beans and not extract all of the flavor out of them? If you want iced coffee, brew it hot over ice, don’t cold brew! Update: You can also walk about .2 miles farther and get a superior cup of coffee at Dinosaur Coffee.

Baristas at the Caffe Vita know how to steam milk to perfection for latte. There is madness to the method and they have it down to the millimeters of pouring. From flavor to texture, I can’t find one thing to complain about. Bravo! As far as service goes, some of the staff can be somewhat arrogant. Although I understand their frustrations at some of the«stupid» questions they get asked(from what I’ve overheard), they do need to realize that not everyone who walks in the door is going to have the same appreciation of beans and process as they do. Very cute independently owned coffee shop. It’s two floors. The top floor is more like a loft. There’s only street parking. Beware when you street park because we got a ticket. We got coffee and tea. I had asked for my tea to be made with milk but what happened was they made it with water and then gave me a side of to pour into it. They also sell baked goods. This is a good place to go before you go watch a movie at the Vista theater and across the street is also a crossroads trading company store.

I feel like this is my new Cheers, because I always run into some person I know every time I go. So maybe that’s why I’m giving in 5 stars. But their coffee is stellar. I’ve been to the one in Seattle which is how I first discovered Caffe Vita, and the coffee in LA is comparable to the Seattle product. Plenty of outlets, not too crowded, just people trying to get work done and get their caffeine in. I wish they had more food though. Just the basic cookies, a few croissants and an occasional teacake. Probably a good thing at the end of the day.

Ugh, I love the crap out of this part of Los Feliz and Caffe Vita is the cherry on top. How I live off of coffee and still don’t have any coffee-related badges is beyond me, but out of all the 10+ cafes I’ve reviewed in LA so far, this is definitely a local favorite of mine in the east of LA. Coffee: Aside from the fact that they serve their own roasts(support local businesses, yay!), what I love most about this place is their extensive styles of coffee they serve. Every boutique coffee shop serves pour overs or Kyoto drips, but Caffe Vita goes as far as serving individual french pressed coffee as well! If you’re also a fan of dark roasts like me, fear not! They’ve got a diverse range from light to dark roasts. Space: Beautiful, two story space with a really artsy, vintage feel to it. Again, I love supporting local anything and while the art pieces can be a hit or miss between beautiful to strangely eclectic, I love how they make the effort of showcasing new artists in their café. Tips: –They open until 10pm so great place for a late night caffeine fix! –Seriously, go and have fun with their pour overs, drips, and french press. Their coffee is fantastic! –Street park in the residential area behind the Vista or the Crossroads.

3.5 stars I see why people are not so thrilled about Caffe Vita, but coffee prices are pretty much that high at all the shops in that area, so you can not fault them too much. Overall, I had a nice cup of french press coffee and a pastry to start off my day. The staff is very nice and I kind of like that the shop is two stories, even though I did not have a chance to stay long.

Delicious coffee! Lots of different options, but of course pricey because they offer good coffee. Came here on New Year’s Day and pleasantly found out everything on the menu was 95 cents each! The barista told us it was because it was their 20th anniversary. Cheap coffee, yes please!(So my review may be biased… woops!)
