I rarely take the time to review something but this place is so yummy… Not having time to go to any of my usual spots yesterday, during a lunch break between day-long meetings, I spotted Caffe Luxxe(next door to my lunchtime errand), decided to grab something. I don’t drink coffee or espresso often but, being tired, decided caffeine was in order. I chose their drink made with espresso, milk, ice, «lightly sweetened with chocolate;» had them substitute with almond milk. To my surprise, it was the tastiest treat I’ve had since I can’t remember when. I’d assumed it’d be sort of bitter — not delicious, dessert-like, and something I’d savor over the course of my afternoon meetings. Assuming I needed a little more nourishment, I also got their fruit-nut baguette. Again, I was highly satisfied … it was so flaky(is there butter in that?!). I was«bad» and added a little of their whipped butter and raspberry jam — mmmm, for sure worth the mini-splurge. Lastly, assuming the above would not be enough(I was hungry, and the baguette had looked so small), I also bought an apple-something«muffin» or «crumble.» But after the 2 treats above were so satisfying, I saved that one until this morning and ate it this morning after heated it up a bit-delectable, moist, kind of crumbly. Living in MDR, I wish they had a Caffe Luxe down this way! At least they have one close to my work(Brentwood Country Mart). Definitely a new fan and customer here.

This is a high end, very crafty coffee shop. It’s not quite cozy enough to be called a coffee house but darn if they don’t serve great coffee here(at prices appropriate for this high rent district). This is where the super rich and beautiful Brentwood folk come for their morning jolt and snack. I probably had no business being here but they served me happily all the same. We ordered a large iced latte, a café caramella(caramel goodness), and two muffins(one blueberry crumble and one gingerbread). That ran to $ 19. For the average Unilocaler, that’s on the high side. The average Brentwood resident wouldn’t blink at that and just wants to know if you can break some of these $ 100 bills. The coffees were absolutely delicious. They weren’t bitter in the least and, frankly, they were decadent. The muffins were clearly gourmet and, although not massively large, were very good. For a Unilocaler of limited means, this couldn’t be my normal stop. But for a special once-in-a-while treat, you betcha. This is some great coffee.

Lowered to 3 stars. Lately Luxxe has been unexpectedly closed, like on a Sunday at 3:45pm when the sign says 5:00pm. I love the coffee but it’s frustrating to walk here and not know if they will be open. Great response from Luxxe.

My family and I were in the area and we decided to check out this place. This place and Alfred’s had similar ratings, but we decided to come here. When we came in we were introduced by 2 guys and 1 woman, but we weren’t introduced with what they had on their menu. We would have decided to get something else, but since we didn’t really get an explanation for the different things on the menu, we decided to get the caffe latte. It was pretty good and it was very creamy. It cost $ 4.50 for the latte. Overall good experience, I wish they would’ve explained a little more about the menu even if we didn’t ask any questions :)

Great experience today. Came for a bag of house coffee beans while grabbing a cup of latter. There were three baristas who were all very friendly. When I got my bill I was charged $ 15 the marked price for the beans– no additional tax. I subsequently asked if I was to be charged for the latte $ 4.50 and was told that it was on the house. :)

We came in craving coffee, some sandwiches and a pastry for 3 people. The first drink we ordered was a cappuccino with a lot of foam(essentially drier cappuccino). The young bearded guy responded«we can’t do foam because it’s against our policy». We thought he was joking but he was not. Another young guy behind the counter started explaining that the milk burns. It sounds like these guys just don’t know the art of coffee making while pretending to know it. We are coffee aficionados and have been drinking it for decades. To hear such absurd«policy» at a coffee shop is either the epitome of ignorance or stupidity. We took an espresso and declined any other purchase. The espresso was beyond bitter and we threw it away outside the door after wasting $ 3 on it. These employees need serious training. Needless to say we won’t be back.

Always wanted to check this café out and finally did since i received a lovely free drink flyer in the mail. It’s about half the size(maybe smaller) of all the chains that are down the block from them but I loved everything about this place. The free drink flyer was for their iced drinks but the barista was so kind to offer a hot drink since it was 7am and a teeny bit chilly outside. But i needed a slap-in-the-face cold drink so i went with the Shakerato(a latte with some chocolate syrup shaken up). I usually have coffee with milk or cream and call it a day but this had a good amount of sweet in it, although it did taste like a yoohoo by the end of the drink. i wish i had the time to sit/look around for a bit and take in the café vibe as they had some merchandise(i’m assuming from local businesses) displayed. Stationary, greeting cards, lotions, truffle pâté(drooled), and plenty other things that i just wanted to buy because it was cute or it looked tasty. i also stared at the pastry display for a bit as they carry Milo & Olive’s pastries which is one of my favorites to start with, and macarons from Lette. To me, this place is shoved with heaven. Thank you for letting me enjoy a piece of it, Caffe Luxxe. i’ll be back~

Embarrassingly rude staff. One of the two especially(light brown hair, medium height) has such a bad attitude, makes me never want to go back(third time really did it).

New to the area so exploring the area for great coffee. Prior work locations have had Handsome roasters, Blue Bottle, and Intelligentsia, so I’ve been exposed to the best and most pretentious. The credit I give to really pretentious places like Intelligentsia(and those of that ilk) is that they are well-dressed and and pay excruciating attention to detail, which yields a best-of-breed experience. Here is my breakdown: Coffee taste: 3, there was too much foam which resulted in a bitter taste Baristas: 2, not helpful and lack any personality whatsoever Cost: $ 1 for very small caramels and $.75 for very small cookies is kind of nuts(even in this part of town) Overall: 2, I’ll make Alfred Coffee my ritual for now…

Caffe Luxxe is right by my office so I come in about once a week for a cappuccino. Parking in this area can be a nightmare, but Luxxe has a huge parking lot right in the back. It’s located in a cool, mid-century little shop complex. The baristas do come off as serious, but they also take the coffee-making serious. It is a small space and they always have lots of orders to get through. They are consistent and careful with their work. This isn’t Starbucks assembly line slop. Coffee is treated as a craft in here. Their cappuccino is my favorite of any I’ve had anywhere in town. They also provide delicious pastries baked over at Milo and Olive. Always my first choice for a weekday coffee.

I like the ambiance and coffee is good but it’s not the best in the area. I think Primo Passo makes a better cappuccino. It’s definitely better than the average cup of coffee but since Primo Passo is so close by, I think that if you’re into a stronger cup of coffee you should try that instead.

I stumble on this place while I was in the area for my dermatologist doctors appointment. I was very excited to try this place, seeing all of the positive reviews! But my anticipation was definitely not met… sadly. First of all. they charge an extra $ 1 for almond milk substitution for their lattes and also their chocolate croissants were about $ 4.50, which is slightly expensive in my book. Plus the croissant wasn’t that good. I make better ones :(My latte came out super fast, which was nice. However, when I felt my cup it was just warm. not hot at all and when I took my first sip it was just luke warm :(They did have nice latte art! The latte was also a decent size, so that was good.

$ 3 for an excellent shot of espresso! Better than the $ 1-$ 2 shots at various other disclosed places. The service is extremely professional, helpful, and friendly, they’ll go the extra mile to explain all the possibilities for your perfect beverage.(And it is perfect!) If you love coffee or tea of any kind and you prefer quality over saving a dollar, this is the place. Seriously, don’t settle for less in the area of Brentwood.

Bypass Starbucks, Peets etc. and check out this little gem. The staff was friendly, the space is quaintly small. There are a few outside tables to sit and enjoy a latte and pastry. It meets my definition of a wonderful locals coffee shop.

My favorite coffee shops on the westside! I love all the Caffe Luxxe locations, each one has its own character! The baristas + owners are delightful! In my book, Caffe Luxxe consistently delivers the highest quality coffee experience!

Totally did not expect such amazing coffee when I walked by! It’s basically everything you get out in sight glass /blue bottle in SF but more personal! Amazing coffee

I’m not a coffee snob and I can’t tell you about the fruity undertones or the lingering taste of sweetness from a drink. But when I’ve had a solid cup of coffee and find myself thinking about the next time having it again, like the Indonesian single origin, I know that’s DEFINITELY some good coffee. I really like the baristas, too. It’s a down-to-earth coffee shop and I vibe with it very well.

This place has some of the best drip coffee I’ve ever had, hands down. Sure it’s expensive, but its really, really good. Get some. I haven’t tried the pastries yet but it’s on the agenda! FYI there is parking in the back(INBRENTWOOD? NOWAY!) and plenty of nice, outdoor patio-type seating. Not a good coffee shop to do work in because its not temperature controlled and there is only bar seating inside. Bottom line? Coffee.

I stumbled upon Café Luxxe as I was driving along San Vicente in the early morning. I was stoked when I saw this place. Parking was super easy in the back, but probably because it was so early in the morning. The place itself is pretty small. More of a pick up and go than a sit down coffee shop. I ordered an iced Caffe Caramello. I was a little disappointed to be honest. It tasted like 95% milk, 2% caramel, and 3% espresso. I saw the barista pour the milk at first and was a little shocked to see how much there was. I didn’t say anything because I was going to wait for the espresso and caramel. I could barely taste any caramel or espresso for that matter. I am not even a big caramel fan, but I decided to give this a chance because I knew a place like Café Luxxe would not overload on sweetness. I definitely want to try the other drinks they have here next time, but for now, I think I will steer clear of the Caffe Caramello. I will be back for sure, I don’t want to judge it based on only one drink! P. s. Sweet Rose Creamery uses Café Luxxe’s coffee for their coffee ice cream. It’s delicious, and everyone should try it! The Brentwood Country Mart has both a Café Luxxe and a Sweet Rose!

This review will be short and to the point. The best coffee and lattes in LA. Pastries are pretty good too especially the giant peach thing during stone fruit season and the blueberry muffin. Do miss the strawberry pop tarts from the prior supplier. Only complaint; STAYOPENLATER at least on weekends and you might think about going back to 6:30 am openings during the week. Otherwise, love this place.
