They CLOSEDDOWN Reading that it did not look like an actual café we assumed we had to keep walking when we arrived at the tennis court. Luckily someone from the crossfit place stopped us and told us it was gone

Love this little café. Such great service. The guy who works here is from Spain and is super friendly. The little café is located inside the padel tennis courts. So it’s a great place to come have a coffee, or a panini or an acai bowl and sit in a little oasis off of sunset blvd. My bf and I had the acai bowl. The first for both of us. Was really tasty, fresh and healthy!

One of the best acai bowls on the west coast. Super friendly spot with great service. They are not open all week so try to catch them on the weekend. Places like this need support to keep going!

When my GPS told me that I’ve reached my destination I was super confused because I didn’t see any«shop,» it was just some concrete and metal fences so I thought maybe I had the wrong address? But I didn’t. I parked my car right in front of where the GPS says it was supposed to be(street parking available and they also have a small lot at the back), and I saw a small shack in the middle of a couple of tennis courts. As I walked closer to the shack I saw a menu sign and realized I’d found the place. Definitely did not expect the store to look like this – how adorable! Let me just say, Café La Casita is definitely one of the best acai bowl places in LA. All other acai bowls I’ve had have a very watery consistency – the acai is purple and is very liquid in a sense that it will fill the shape of any container it’s put in. This is because the acai is blended with ice, so the more ice it has, the more«liquid» it will be, and the quicker it will melt as well. But the acai here is dark reddish-berry colored, and the consistency of it is very dense and sticky – almost like a paste. I’ve never had acai like this before and I knew immediately this is good stuff because the taste of it was so fresh. It took me about 30 minutes to eat my bowl(I was savoring every bite, okay…), and nothing melted. Wow! There was granola on the bottom and the top, so no worries about running out of granola because that always happens to me: P Unfortunately the berries on top are frozen – I can’t say that they’re prepackaged because maybe they’re fresh and just frozen for a couple of days. I wouldn’t be surprised if they did this because during the 40 minutes I was there I only saw one other customer, so I’m guessing this place is a hidden gem yet to be discovered by everyone, and thus they need to conserve the fruits. The bowl itself was around $ 10, pretty pricey but totally worth it. Also, don’t be fooled by the portion size. When I first saw the size of the bowl I thought, «this definitely won’t be enough for lunch» and considered adding extra fruits or picking up something extra afterwards. To my surprise this actually filled me up well. This acai bowl was so amazing; Café La Casita is definitely my new favorite acai bowl spot in LA!

MMMMMACAIBOWLS! Thanks Unilocal wouldn’t have found this place without you. My friend and I just finished hiking at Griffith and we were craving acai bowls but didn’t know where to go. Luckily this place is like 10 minutes away from Griffith on Sunset. You won’t be able to see it from the street, it’s a bit tucked away. I recommend parking in the plaza. Love that you can switch out what fruits you want, they’re very flexible about how you make it really. It comes with honey and coconut flakes! They don’t tell you that so just letting you know when you order(since I’m not the biggest fan of coconut). 1 bowl was $ 8.50 but it was huge and so worth it. I loved that the acai came out like the consistency of icecream and then as you eat it like turns into the consistency of greek yogurt and mixes with everything.

Really enjoyed this place! I’m an acai fanatic and probably have an acai bowl at least once a week. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and my expectations were definitely met. The environment is very relaxed and everyone is very friendly. The actual bowl was super yummy– sweeter than others I have tried. I think the fruit may have sweetener mixed into it or it just had a lot of the honey on it that was drizzled on top. I sat outside with my book, read a couple chapters and then enjoyed watching some guys play tennis(the seating area is nestled in between tennis courts). There is street parking and a little parking lot by the bldg. Go check out this cute and quaint little acai house. You will enjoy it!

Came here for the acai bowl. To my dismay, there were no acai bowls available womp womp womp. I ended up with a mango smoothie & Peter got the berry smoothie. Mine was better, but I wasn’t wowed. Cute place though!

This place is so cute! I love the way it’s kind of hidden. The man that helped me was really lovely. They definitely won my heart over with the uno cards. Will come again!

This is a cute blue hut snuggled in LA. Not easy to find since its hidden in between a couple of tennis/racket-ball courts. Parking is limited in the back and heard you have to go thru an alley to get to it. I parked on the street on Sunset(metered parking). Lucky for me it was a weekend so parking was not an issue but I can imagine it would be during a weekday. Took my mom with me because I was visiting and craving for some Acai on a hot day. Ordered my mom an Acai smoothie… She loved it. Not to sweet. I also ordered an Acai bowl. The price has gone up to $ 8.50. They had over charged me and when I requested for a receipt for the refund they said they don’t print receipts and it would be emailed. They charged me for 2 bowls when I only asked for one. I reiterated about a receipt since I used a credit card… Never received the email for a refund but did get the receipt for the purchase(thus minus a star). The Acai bowl was beautiful! I specifically asked for no honey but got it of course with honey on top. It was a 15 min wait due to the demand so I was not going to take it back and wait another 15 min. Plus I was already heated about the over charge and refund issue. It was also a very very HOT day and it’s an outdoor type of spot. Ok back to the Acai, it was loaded with fruit but unfortunately the fruit was not fresh except the bananas. They use frozen fruit. The Acai was very creamy it tasted like ice cream and was very rich like someone else mentioned. I have had my fair share of Acai bowls and this was different. I have had better so minus another star. But this place is adorable for a chill spot on a hot LA day. It’s relaxing and I’m sure their other goodies on the menu are good.

I’m so happy to have found this place! I live up the street, and it’s difficult to find a great latte unless going north into Los Feliz Village. Not anymore now that I found Café la Casita. The Mocha was delicious. I also had my first ever acai bowl. It was amazing and I was so satisfied after completing it. Thick berry smoothie with berries and bananas, tons of granola and coconut. They appeared to be dog friendly, as I brought my dog in and no one seemed to mind. The café is sitting next to a racket ball court, so if your dog chases tennis balls, probably leave the pup at home. There’s tables and grassy areas to enjoy your meal, or take it to go.

I heard people raving about the acai berry bowl for $ 7.50 and since this place is only a couple blocks from me, I decided to try it. First thing I noticed was that they had bumped the price up to $ 8.50, which I was not thrilled about. I bought one and enjoyed it, but at $ 8.50, it will only be a once in a while thing for me. If it was more reasonably priced, at say $ 5 or $ 6, I would stop by frequently.

The richest damn acai bowl in LA. I’ve tried almost all acai bowls in LA county and this one was the most festive. Very plentiful and dense toppings. Even extra granola on the bottom. It felt more like acai gelato/sorbet though. Tasted more like dessert than a healthy snack as well. Very tasty but towards the end of the bowl it felt like too much. More rich than I had planned on. It came out to $ 8.50 which is a tad higher than some. Also, after you turn on Normandie, turn in the second driveway. It leads you to a parking lot right next to the little hut building thing I would probably return if I’m in the area and have the taste for it

Five stars for updating their hours accordingly, and for still having the best Acai Bowl in town.

Attention wise: I would rate it 5 stars, I found the batista to be attentive, and polite not only to me, but to the patron ahead of me as well. Quality/Taste wise: I would rate it 3. I got a capuccino with almond milk, and a Capresse panini. The coffee was nothing memorable, it was ok(coffee wise I’d stick with another local, like La Monarca). The panini was good, but again, flavor wise it was, ok(I’d stick with a cheese borek from yet, another local spot, Taron Bakery). I am really interested in their acai bowl, which I’ll eventually try to try(however… it’s a bit expensive, so I’m a bit doubtful about it) All in all, 4 stars seems fair, the place is not bad, THEAMBIANCEISAWESOME(looks like the perfect hidden spot to meet with someone to have some quality time over coffe, or a quick bite)

Came here because my partner drove by a few times, saw the sign and hilariously thought it was Mexican food. We ended up getting Paninis for lunch instead. They were pretty good, I enjoyed them. They wouldn’t be THE place for me to get Paninis though. I also wanted a smoothie to go with my Panini, so the special of the day sounded good. Although, upon arrival, I realized that the special was referring to an Acai Bowl, and not a smoothie. I was originally disappointed. 1) Because it was not what I had wanted. And 2) Because that is a lot of food. But eff it, it was a dessert then, and it looked beautiful. And…ladies and gents… I’ve never had an Acai Bowl but oooooooh my goodness. This place has made me into a huge, huge fan. It’s beautiful, it’s big, it’s delicious, has a much more frozen/sorbet consistency than other places(since then I’ve tried other bowls), and man… I don’t know how they do it. But they somehow give just the right amount of «toppings»(other things like fruits and granola) with their Acai. The location is just cool. You kind of forget you’re in the middle of LA, and on a nice sunny, breezy day and sit back and watch people play not tennis.

HOLY F*** finding this place is impossible. I know every review has mentioned it but I felt the need to reiterate this point. When traveling west on Sunset, turn left on Normandie from Sunset and go up past the parking lot to the next alley. It doesn’t look like it’s leading anywhere… but take it anyways. Walk a couple hundred steps and keep your eyes peeled on the left side. Soon you’ll see tennis courts and a random mini house— that’s Café La Casita. Reward yourself for actually finding this café by ordering yourself a delicious acai bowl for $ 7.50(easily the cheapest acai bowl I’ve seen in these parts). They also have a variety of coffees/drinks/sandwiches if you’re not in the mood for acai

Okay, WOW. Mas firme que WOW!(Stronger than WOW!) Café La Casita happens to have one of the most incredible Acai Bowls that I have had not just in Los Angeles, but perhaps anywhere. I’m not even being emphatic here, okay maybe a little. But I never thought I’d see the day where I’d find my beloved Acai Bowls from when I lived in Santa Cruz in Los Angeles. This little house is inside of the ‘Sunset Padel’, which consists of a club and four courts for a Spanish style racquetball game called padel, offers not only the best, but the only place with an Acai Bowl that’s under $ 10, much less under $ 8, much less $ 7.50. I haven’t had such a delicious Acai Bowl since back in the days when I went to an Acai café that was run by a Brazilian woman on one busy road along the edge of Santa Cruz who knew the ins and outs of making incredible Acai Bowls. Their Acai is richly blended and fresh with a well-proportioned amount of granola, berries, bananas and coconut shavings and served in a larger-than-expected plastic bowl. You could probably share this thing if you want to go on a nice date with someone because this is quite a full meal in itself. With the atmosphere looking more like a park in Europe that’s underneath flags and full of modernist/minimalist patio furniture, it is a surprising find on the somewhat dreary area of Sunset that’s ridden with lots of cracked, old pavement. Their murals hardly stand out but it’s located before the Normandie intersection on the Northwestern corner. I am assuming that Acai Bowls must also be popular in the places where Padel is played — which is primarily Argentina, Mexico and Spain. I never even heard of this sport before visiting this place so was quite excited to look it up once I saw the padel players. Oh yeah, I must mention the padel players. If you’re into incredibly hot and tall hispanic men and women with lean athletic builds, watching them play and teach kids how to hit those balls with the padel rackets was a lot of fun. First of all, I’m SO excited I found this place, and the fact that it’s a five minute drive from my house. 1.) The worker is so sweet and funny. I love workers who can make fun small talk cause it makes everything a lil more worthwhile. She’s seriously one of the sweetest! 2.) The prices are very decent. Acai bowls are 7.50 which was what I strictly came for. Acai bowls in other places such as koreatown go for 13 dollars! DFFF This café also sells paninis(around 6 $) fruit smoothies(around 4 $) and a whole bunch of other drinks such as tea, coffee, and frapps! 3.) This place isssss a little hard to find because it’s past the tennis court on sunset boulevard but parking is not too bad. On the street where there’s zankou chicken, there should be an alley where it leads up to the café for free parking and the parkings lots pretty spacious. Other than that, you can find street parking as well! I will definitely be coming back to this place just for the acai bowls alone! SO good on a hot scorching summer day like this! Definitely recommend this place!

If you’re on Sunset, it’s through the grates up the stairs in the foyer of the Sunset Padel board courts(some new sport). It’s a small little ‘shack’ — nicely maintained. Lots of tables around — kind of great on a sunny day. Small but focused menu(mostly coffee shop stuff, but the Acai bowl looked bangin’)

this place is amazing! It’s semi hidden from the main road, but that’s one of the best parts about it– it’s a tiny oasis! I tried the acai bowl — I currently work at a place that also serves these amazing dishes– and all I’m going to say is that I will be a frequent return customer. Simply delicious! The presentation of the bowl is awesome, but the taste is 100x better! The customer service was also amazing. The girl who took my order(unfortunately forgot her name!!) was very sweet and caring about your experience there. I highly recommend this small establishment– especially being a newcomer to Los Angeles and living the«out of town feeling». Ten thumbs up.
