Everything here is amazing. Loved the ceviche appetizer and the mucho bowl. The matcha latte with almond milk is also fantastic. I will definitely be back soon.

Not a big fan of their menu or food specialties. It adheres strictly to the healthy, vegan lifestyle — which is great, but a lot of their dishes are skimpy and bland. The curry was probably the most flavorful dish we ordered(given that it’s curry), but it was just mediocre at most. Still, the restaurant’s vibe and design is attractive and service is ultra-friendly.

I love it. The cleanses are great, I do the ones with some food as well as juice. The juices and smoothies are very good, many of their menu items are good, I usually get the Whole without the sea vegetables, its plain but so flavorful and makes me feel so healthy and strong and full when I finish it. I didn’t love the Reuben. I love the pastries. I love the vibe. Minuses — parking can be tough at certain times and the prices make it difficult for me to come here as often as I would want to come.

Location The parking here is terrible but it’s LA so that can be expected in most places. I parked on a meter which gives you up to 2 hours. Inside its really nice, clean! Bathroom is clean and plenty of seats so that you aren’t waiting long to be seated Price For 4 people it was over $ 100 we ordered 3 bowls and 1 cheeseburger along with 4 juices(not smoothies). With tip total $ 125 that’s crazy but I guess you get what you pay for. Food The food is awesome everytime I come here I feel like I can actually be a vegan, I love the flavor and freshness and food is easily digested ;) I had the mucho bowl which has cactus, beans, guacamole, rice and other veggies and sauce. I had the complete juice which was delicious and hydrating Service They always give you the question of the day which gives you something to talk about. Our was«what do you love about your friends?» Our waitress rocked and the rest of the staff is very cool! Extras It’s about the vibe and the positive energy in this place. My 4 star review is because the price is a bit steep. I’m not a cheapskate or anything but it’s pretty steep that’s all. I will come back and I usually bring my friends that are doing well financially: p

Wonderful food! To begin, the parking lot is tight and only fits about 5 cars so I recommend going direct to street parking. The patio seating is comfortable. We were eating at 6pm in June but for some reason the ceiling heaters were on. Luckily the wait staff were able to turn them off for us. I easily could have picked anything on the menu to try. The descriptions are appealing, and I like that the dish names are all affirmations. I went with INSPIRED. For dessert we split the key lime pie(AWAKENING). Both tasted so good! When can we get a Café Gratitude in the valley?

There’s about 12 customers here that I can see, with at least 5+ waiters and a host walking around. Why does everyone look so busy but nothing’s getting done? Food took 30 mins for a simple vegan burrito which was«meh». Seriously took me a full 8 minutes to finally flag someone down to get me my check. And another 8 minutes to get my change back. This part of town is definitely more hippie and laid back but cmon. This is basic restaurant etiquette. I paid for an hour at the meters assuming I had plenty of time but it took much longer than that. Never coming back

For vegan food it’s good. The service was a bit slow. I had the Mexican bowl and it was lovely and the peanut butter bar dessert. Our waiter was slow. Very chatty and it felt like he was very out of it. It took 25 min for the check eventually we had to get up and ask the hostess. He totally forgot our table and It was NOT busy. Sooooooo… Yeah

What inspires you? That was the question of the day at Café Gratitude during my visit. So I sat and pondered in between bites and conversation. What is it that drives me? I think that’s a question best answered at the end. I normally don’t eat vegan, but from time to time there has to be change. I was in the area in hopes of eating at another vegan spot but that one was closed, and as I result I wandered into Café Gratitude. I’m grateful I did, and talk about destiny — I was destined to eat here this particular day. Forget all the intellectual stuff and let me just tell you what I had. I chose the Accepting sushi bowl and my girlfriend had the Bountiful quinoa pasta. I’ll skip the description en lieu of misrepresenting what was a heavenly meal. It was that good! My only warning is be attentive to pricings, eating vegan can easily become a splurge. There are things like a $ 25 wellness shot on the menu. I don’t know what the heck it’s supposed to cure, but that’s an example of what you can fall victim to. So be aware and be selective, unless you’ve got the money to spend. Either way, you’re getting quality. I opted for the Brave immunity-boosting shot when offered the smoothie. And let me tell you, this was a little firecracker in my mouth, really pungent. It was even spicy. Had my lips feeling as if I had just gotten some lip fillers or something, because they were feeling plump and full like never before. I loved it though! All in all, this is an exceptional option if you’re looking to have a vegan meal. One that can make you forget that there is no meat on your plate. Heck, might even be good enough to convince you that you don’t need meat on your plate. Tie in the clean and serene ambience created by the bright white space, and it only enhances the experience. Now to answer the question. That day I could have easily said I’m inspired by food. Food that feeds the body, nurtures the soul, and enlightens the mind. Basically, food that can remind me that a great meal doesn’t always have to come from a living creature. So thanks for the experience Café Gratitude, I’ll be seeing you in the Arts District someday.

Café Gratitude is the epitome of California. Think California, think hippie, healthy, liberal counter-culture. It’s an entirely vegan restaurant with a menu full of avocado, kale, chia seeds, coconut milk, farro, you name it. Chock full of produce. The quirky cool part is how you are advised to order your food. Each item on the menu is an adjective to describe an emotion or feeling. You want the coconut milk coconut meat almond butter smoothie? You can’t just order that. You say, «I am thankful.» You want the kale chickpea tomato hummus bowl? You say, «I’m devoted.» You want the bramblerose pine cone dirt sand plate? You say, «I’m flabbergasted.» Just kidding. They don’t use emotions with a negative connotation. I’m surprised a place like this hasn’t caught on in hipster granola Seattle. Overall, the servers were snooty, the food was okay, but the crowd entertaining.

My wife freakin’ loves this place. I agree the food is quite good(she’s veggie, I’m not), however I do find the naming convention a bit pretentious(where the server repeated the order back«You’re Humble», etc). Anyhow, the food is great and as a certified omnivore — I’m always happy with the menu — which says a lot. Will return! PS: It’s laughable that all the vegans are upset that the owners are not vegan. I mean, I get it if you don’t want to patronize a business because of your feelings about the owners, but to call them hypocrites and/or try to take them down is pretty absurd, totally unwarranted and downright shameful.

Larchmont is such a cute neighborhood and Café Gratitude fits in perfectly. I’ve been here a couple times and always order the Indian curry bowl, Humble. Honestly have no idea what’s in it, but the different flavors all mixed up work well together and I like that it has some sweetness to it. I’ve also tried the brussel sprouts appetizer, which is pretty good but not quite as crispy as I like. I don’t normally eat vegan food, yet I don’t find myself missing meat or anything when I eat here. Portions aren’t that big and I never leave super full, but it’s probably the appropriate portion size that I should be eating regularly lol.

You don’t have to be a vegan to appreciate this place. Besides the cheesy quotes and hippie appearances, the food is actually delicious. 3 of us came here on a Saturday afternoon for late lunch and got seated immediately. We all ordered bowls — either the Humble or the Whole. The Whole had seaweed and red bean, and I’m normally not a huge fan of either in raw form, but somehow the combined ingredients tasted really good. The Humble was a delicious curry that was seasoned perfectly. The bowls were enough for a meal but I still had room in my stomach afterwards and wish I had tried the appetizers or dessert. I can’t wait to come back here and try the rest of the menu.

So I forced my MEAT loving friend to sit down here and eat with me… He ended up getting Kale Chips only and a Minty Smoothie… Sorry bro!!! As for myself since I like trying out Vegan/Veggie and places like this… I was game for another RAW food meal… I saw the Mediterranean wrap with falafel and other healthy items… and RAW and the challenge was on to try it… I gotta say one thing that was some good stuff! Clean, refreshing and definitely something to try when you come here… I believe they use a flaxseed type product as the wrap itself… I forget… but I recall cucumbers, olives, tomatoes, avocado, onions, cashew feta… can’t remember what else :) I gotta come here again to try something else!

Café Gratitude exceeded my expectations, in every way. My waitress, Lauren, was lovely and helped me decide on the LIBERATED-Kelp Noodle Pad Thai, which was incredible. Perfectly cooked noodles with a creamy nut based sauce. Hazelnuts and bean sprouts on top. The balance of textures and flavors was inspiring. So satisfying, without being too heavy. Everything on the menu looks fantastic, and the ambiance here is elegant yet laid back. Entrees are very reasonably priced for being 100% organic and made with local ingredients-$ 12-$ 15 per entrée.

Visited Café Gratitude with a friend today. We were in the mood for a light, healthy lunch. Café Gratitudevserves 100% organic vegan food. We definitely went to the right place. Café Gratitude is a nice, clean, open and bright restaurant. While tables are close to one another, the large windows facing the main street bring in ample light so it doesnt feel stuffy, but open and bright. We ordered the pad thai kelp noodles pad and the eggplant panini entrees. Both entrees were beautifully plated, fresh and full of flavor. We recommend both dishes. The service was excellent. Our waiter checked in on us regularly. He made sure we always had enough to drink. Overall, we enjoyed our experience. The ambiance was nice. Not too loud. Not quiet. Just right. We especially loved the prominently displayed positive mission statement posted on a chalkboard near the entrance and the fact that the restaurant is connected to the surrounding community as exhibited by an announcement board with information on local resources just outside the restroom. The only downside is that lunch prices are steep(we paid $ 40 for two entrees), and the lack of parking in the area. Otherwise, we recommend a visit to Café Gratitude. Keep spreading the positivity…

This place was incredible!!! The service was amazing and the services were really attentive. We were served by Rebecca and she was great! We sat at the bar, and noticed that the servers weren’t the issue its really the customers. Lol just Looking at the reviews regarding service is just wayyyy off about this place. Both parties we sat in between were so annoying and wanted to be treated as royalty. Now about the food… I loved loved loved the strawberry cobbler with ice cream. This was the best dessert I ever had in my life and this is my first time trying vegan raw foods. And this was absolutely divine!!! I would come back just to have this! Perfect amount of sweet and really it can be shared with up to 3 people. As far as my entrée– I had the bountiful quinoa pasta and although it was perfect in flavor(reminded me of a vodka sauce), it was not worth the price. It’s not something I would order again at least at that price. I do plan on returning, I’m a carnivore and this place has now risen to one of my favorite restaurants. Normally I want to try new places, but this is somewhere I would love to have at least once a month.

First, I’m not vegan so my review may and should not count. I came here for the first time in 2011 and it was horrible. I thought my second visit would be better since I’ve aged and become wiser with the types of things that I put into my body. It was just as disgusting as I remembered it. I’m not into vegan stuff so this is not my type of place. If you want to be all LA and stuff… you should definitely try this place. And pretend you love it.

This place is great! The menu itself is such a positive and beautiful thing; it’s a page of positive affirmations, so what a great way to start a meal! The entire staff there is so outgoing and inviting without seeming contrived. The food is amazing! I just ordered soup and Brussel sprouts, thinking I’ll probably get hungry later, but I left soooo full and definitely satisfied. The mural in the bathroom is indescribable. I snapped a photo of one section just because it’s so beautiful. I highly recommend Café Gratitude!

Food: Great. No issue there. Service: Our waitress was super friendly and very accommodating. However, after our meal, the busboy mistakenly brought us two soups and a cappuccino looking thing. We had never been here before and upon seating, the waitress had mentioned that we could taste the soup free of charge. We thought this was what she mentioned. We tasted and thoroughly enjoyed. Mid taste a waiter comes by, rudely says, «Sorry, we gave you the wrong order,» and took our soups right from under us. Yes, while we were mid bite, spoon and all. I felt humiliated and as though we did something wrong. Very rude experience considering I was enjoying my time at Café Gratitude. If were not for the awkward and rude service by someone who was NOT our waiter, I would have rated this place higher. Aside from the sevice, it is on the pricey side. I ordered a $ 15 sandwich and the sandwich itself was extremely small. Starbucks sells larger sandwiches for cheaper.

I AM Elevated– Rosewater lemonade with a drop of beet juice. Good flavor, although a bit sour from both parts of the flavors. I AM Thrilled– fermented baguette with cashew cream, berry compote and mixed berries on top. It also came with maple syrup. I didn’t luck this much or even finish it because the fermented baguette was just plain nasty and. well. fermented. I was hesitant to order it because it said the baguette was fermented but I thought it wasn’t going to be that bad. It was. It tasted like slightly rotten bananas and has this tang to it. Let’s just say, I wasn’t thrilled. Parking: meters. Staff: semi-friendly, but didn’t order to switch my order as you can see I barely even touched it.

I came in here because I heard good things about this bourgie coffee place. They should really call this place«elitist coffee» because they treat you less than kindly if you order a regular coffee or cappuccino. If you don’t get one of their specialty coffee drinks or raw juices, you’re just a simpleton so prepare to be treated as such. The cappuccino was overpriced and weak. However, the key lime pie was delicious! So one thing is okay. This is the American Apparel of coffee shops.

You know the scene from«L.A. Story» where they get in the car, drive 15 feet and then park and get out(Because nobody walks in LA)? This restaurant is that scene turned into a place. Every cliché imaginable when you think of health food, or vegans or organic, or Los Angeles for that matter. The menu is themed with emotions or states of being and when you order you are ordering something like«I am… Happy» or «I am… Grateful», «I am… Dazzling» or «I am… Super Embarrassed to Have to Order This Thing.» But it’s healthy and light and the positive vibe is contagious. They have a question of the day that your server will ask you when you have ordered which is meant to get you thinking or to be a conversation starter. Our question last time I went was«What brings you peace?»(My answer: Peace? I’m jacked up on 12 cups of coffee a day with impossible deadlines and a shorter fuse than a birthday candle – who are you kidding, lady?) Yes, it’s super hippie-dippie but it’s coming from a good place. They’re not asking you to burn your bra, take LSD, or tie-die your entire wardrobe. They just want to give you healthy food in a peaceful and relaxed environment. I’ve been for brunch/lunch and dinner and it works for all meals but it’s very casual and not what I’d suggest for a first date or a romantic evening. It’s better for catching up with friends or just having a casual meal with your main person.(Or your side piece, I suppose — that’s your business.) I always get the same thing: PURE which is an asian kale & sea vegetable salad($ 14) that comes with shaved kale, avocado, sea palm, nori, cucumber, carrots, cilantro, basil, green onions, teriyaki almonds, sesame wasabi and garlic tahini dressing. They’ll ask you if you want kimchi with it and that’s up to you, but I always add a protein — usually the jerk tempeh. It’s hearty and delicious and healthy and quite filling. My friends have always gotten the MUCHO which is their Mexican bowl.($ 15) It comes with black beans, guacamole, pico de gallo, nopalitos, fresh corn, salsa verde, cashew nacho cheese, toasted pepitas, romaine, and your choice of brown rice or quinoa. If you want to add some protein the tempeh chorizo is a safe bet that works well with this dish. The Mexican Coleslaw is a great side with both of these dishes. And right now(fall) they have ECSTATIC which is oven-roasted brussels sprouts with a maple-miso glaze($ 12). They’re good but sweet. I prefer roasted and salted with olive oil and maybe some garlic. Save the syrup for the(gluten-free) pancakes. A word to the wise(or the not so familiar with add-on up sells) Be careful as you’re adding items because the price creeps up on you and suddenly your $ 15 entrée is now $ 24. The restaurant is at the top of Larchmont right off Melrose and there is street parking down Larchmont’s entirety and a tiny lot where you can park if you’re lucky.(Sometimes you can park underground below the restaurant as well, but sometimes it’s blocked off. On weekends and during busy times, parking can be tough. Allow an extra minute to find your spot. From this restaurant family came Gracias Madre, which is on Melrose in West Hollywood, and just between us, I prefer Gracias Madre.(Which I’ve reviewed before — 5 stars) It’s the same owners so they shouldn’t be too mad that I’m favoring their younger child but it’s just better all around so if you are in the mood for Mexican, look up Gracias. Otherwise, this is a good, solid choice for vegan food on the east side. I am… done writing this review.
