I ordered at 1:10AM and had my food ready at 1:46AM on a Wednesday. Guess what I had? Carne asada fries. They were good though. But they shouldn’t have me wait with the munchies for over half an hour, it’s devastating. Thank you for the service though.

This place is horrible the owner or the guy that takes orders is rude they take forever to give you the food and when you finally do get it, it taste like refrigerator it took 30 minutes to make a chicken salad with 3 pieces of cubed chicked we also ordered a chicken burrito for 6 dollars that was smaller than a taco had 2 shreds of chicken like 5 beans and when we got home we were sick It is horrible

Service is always great. Food is what it says it is. The Oriental Chicken has become a craving of mine. Love this spot.

Ok, disclaimer, this is a hole-in-the-wall greasy spoon. If that’s not for you, look elsewhere. However, if you want an awesome breakfast burrito and great service, this is a great place to visit. Is it chic, sophisticated? No. Does it have the best chorizo breakfast burrito I ever had? Yes. Should you order pizza from a primarily Mexican food restaurant? Come on people! Order the good stuff and it shan’t disappoint!

I have a personal rule when it comes to pizza: NEVER order pizza from a place that does«a little bit of everything.» Well, I was at work, and a couple of the true pizza places I actually wanted to go to were out of delivery range, so I had to settle for Café Cali because I was absolutely starving This place bills itself as an American, Mexican, Pizza restaurant and Juice bar. Hell, I wouldn’t be surprised to find out they did sushi too. Café Cali truly embodies the phrase«Jack of all trades, master of NONE.» Here’s what absolutely destroyed me. I decided on this place based on the photos posted here. I’m now led to believe some of these photos are phonies posted by the business owners. My french fries were far from the crispy looking potato sticks I saw here that got my mouth watering. What I received looked, tasted and felt like a plate of rubber bands fresh out a microwave. Disgusting. And now the pizza. Again, not the puffy-crusted somewhat edible-looking goodness I saw on here. I ordered a personal cheese pizza with EXTRA sauce. Not only did I not get extra sauce, I didn’t get any sauce at all. Sauce to me is the life-blood of a pizza. It’s the make-or-break. And I was denied that completely. Instead, what I got was flat, round, soggy cheese bread. Speaking of the cheese, I’d like to see the cow it came from. I think PETA and the SPCA would like to look into that as well. That mozzarella was sickly looking. Now, this place is heralded for their breakfast, which I’m inclined to believe because hey, breakfast is kinda hard to screw up. So maybe that should be their thing. Fries? Not their thing. Pizza? Most definitely NOT their thing. Never going here again. Not even for the breakfast. I feel too ripped off from the rest of the menu.

Food is awful. I ordered tortilla soup and salad and we’ll it was a horrible mistake. The soup is from a can with the tortilla chips inside and the salad consisted of wilted lettuce. The killer was the basic balsamic dressing which tasted rancid. I’m sure to say that I’m not going to order from here again. Update: Food totally mess up my stomach. Thank you café cali it’s exactly what I needed on my long weekend.

Pleasant surprise. Spent the morning shopping at the Fashion District and wanted to get a bite to eat. Ordered the egg and cheese panini and some agua frescas. Everthing was really good!

Was looking for a breakfast place to eat at downtown LA and my friend and I found this small breakfast place so we decided to try it. I ordered their omelet deluxe and my friend ordered their fruit and yogurt it was really good! Everything made to order. I liked it to so much I licked the plate clean lol I would definitely return and recommend this place!

The breakfast is KILLER !! I work in the service industry and I’m on the road a lot. and have been doing so for the last 25 years. I never eat breakfast Downtown until now. I stopped in for breakfast — the food was excellent. The portions were just right and there was variety on the plate. 2 eggs, 2 sausages, bacon(AWESOMEBACON!!!), toast, potatoes, 2 pancakes and fresh fruit ! All for under 6 bucks. Oh, and the coffee wasn’t mud — it was really good. The place is clean and the staff(especially Rodrigo) was attentive. I would, and WILL, eat breakfast here again !!

I just order one Caprese sandwich, the sandwich is the size of a hot dog bun and it was cold and no taste and i was charged $ 10.75 for it. This place is a rip off and bad quality food. Avoid This Place

I’ve been here a handful of times due to it’s proximity to my work. However it’s been so hot lately, and it’s just far enough to be burden. Typically this place has an awesome plate of nachos(The works for $ 5something) and I usually add some protein(chicken or steak for $ 2 extra). Mind you, I CRAVE nachos and for a small person I casually consume the entire plate on a regular weekday. That wasn’t the case this last time. I came in and ordered a water with my nachos. First sign that something was wrong: I wasn’t offered the option to have bottled or tap, I was just given bottled at the table. I waited around for my food to come and asked for tap instead of my bottle of water. I was given a glass of ice-less room temperature tap water. Where’s my ice? Really? I understand the art of upselling but this is not the way to go about it. I was charged extra for salsa when I was given SUCH a small portion. In the past I’ve asked for extra heaps. Maybe they’re having some financial issues? It would have been nice to have a little warning with the surcharge rather than just tacking it on with the assumption that it was free. One change I wasn’t feeling was the huge load of beans on top of my nachos. It was also saltier than I was comfortable with, and I’m a huge proponent of adding salt and sauce to my food. I’m kind of baffled by my bad experience here. I was overwhelmingly bummed out about the quality of my nachos. I left 1⁄3 of the nachos there and dipped. Hard to say I’ll ever be coming back unless my coworkers feel like making the trek.

Wow, I’m surprised by the 5 star reviews. Don’t be fooled, this is definitely not a 5 star restaurant. Inside is cramped and divey. They have a patio in front though –so you can sit at the tables and watch traffic. I was the only customer there at lunch time. The host was welcoming and very attentive with service. The food was below average… and just plain forgettable. I barely touched anything I ordered because it just wasn’t tasty. Very bland and low quality fast food.

I found Café Cali while looking for some healthy and good food downtown LA on a Sunday that delivers… They not only delivered early, the delivery man was very friendly and the food is Delicious!!! I am having the Tortilla Soup and Chips & Salsa. The Soup is full of flavor and fresh tasting, the chips are like I make at home. Also ordered a chicken taco but the soup is filling me up so that will have to be another comment… Cant wait to try their other menu items, the DILA Showroom in the LA Mart will be calling on Café Cali as a Favorite. Going back to my soup yummy!

Walking around DTLA and just fiund this place. I would say it is Okay, not great. I would rather have street vendors with their Bacon Dogs & Veggie Burritos. I had a Nacho Plate and I would say yes it was pretty good. It had the works including guacamole, salsa, sour cream, cheese, etc. I would say the Chip itself was great cause it wasnt just a plain tortilla chip, you could taste that they had just fried and made that chip not too long ago, so that is very good! I mean to have it authentic lik that is pretty dang good. Besides that everything else was okay, not really standing out. Next time, I’m just gonna stick with my street vendors for my corn, bacon dog, churros & fruit! :)

Came into this restaurant with an empty stomach, but it’s good!!! I got the Fiajitas very good. I posted a pic. Our server was nice and food came fast. I recommend people to come here when they are shopping and are tired and just want to sit out inside or outside the patio.

Café Sin is a neat place. That comment is coming from an area that’s crowded with street vendors and people who come to shop. Not necessarily in the heart of the Fashion District, but more outside of it: Café Sin is a small restaurant that serves delicious meals at an affordable price. The owner is very nice, and the food looks of such good quality. It’s as if you’re eating from an actual nice expensive restaurant. I left completely satisfied, and so did my stomach. So, if you’re in the Fashion District and the basic fast food won’t cut it, go over to Café Sin. I definitely recommend this place.

This little café is right on the outside border of the fashion district. It’s within walking distance of everything and it’s a great little place. We got good food at a clean environment and it had AC. The food was all fresh and it was very good. We went in 2 sundays in a row and we were extremely happy. We absolutely love the service as well. Highly recommend it.
