Had a great time at Café Avec! Service was good and the food was delicious. The prosciutto sandwich was good and the chocolate cake for desert was fantastic.

Bad bad bad pasta is way too salty. They charge one piece of bread $ 3. A $ 10 salad contained only few leaves, oil, and cheese. I waited 30 minutes for my salad. It was just way below my expectations. Should have read the reviews first.

Great hidden gem for quality Italian food. Simple, yet delicious pasta dishes that are not overly heavy as you would typically experience at other Italian places. Definitely worth a try for their coffee in itself! Highly recommend the Paella!

Had a dinner date with my mom here. We ordered the rib eye steak and the seafood pasta. The rib eye was very tender with just enough flavor. The seafood pasta was a little bland, so we asked if we could get more sauce. The owner was so nice about it and he took it back and made us a brand new seafood pasta with extra salt and sauce. He even apologized for the previous pasta. We ordered some vanilla ice cream which came with 3 scoops. To top it off, hey gave us some tiramisu cake on the house. Although we were so full, the tiramisu cake was so delicious that we finished the whole thing. The food is good and their service is excellent. The owner really tries his best to give you the best dining experience. Will definitely come back here again :)

A little bit on the expensive side, and when I go to expensive restaurants there has to be something more for me to give 5 stars. Server and manager were attentive and catered to my every need. Chicken parmigiana with Pasta came out hot and fresh. I asked for a little more pasta because I was hungry and they gave a good portion to me just for $ 3. But what impressed me more is that the $ 3 pasta came with an Americano. My Chinese Grandmother in heaven would be proud of that freebie.

Everyone should eat here, like all the time. The pasta offerings are solid, the staff is great and the restaurant is both nice to be in and to look at. Plus, they probably have the best coffee in L.A. Seriously.

Café Avec is more than just a café, it’s a little gem of a place in K — town with great food other than Korean. They make great pizzas, pastas, as well as grill up some nice steak and pre — ordered lobster. You can wash all that down with their selection of some fine fines or cold beer. I had a beautiful vegetable plate made up for me for my cleanse. My little go to place!!!

I went here 3 times. I thought this place is for just coffee and sandwiches, so I went here after dinner. But they have lunch and dinner menu; steaks and pastas. Price is reasonable and service was wonderful. I had homemade tiramisu with wine on my first visit. Their menu was great, so I definitely will visit here soon. The best thing I love is their wines!

Don’t be fooled — this is a very good italian restaurant disguised as a coffee/tea shop in Koreatown. The owner chef has brought his simple wonderful pasta, pizza, steak and great seafood menu items from other restaurants that he has worked out — Each item has 1−2−3 flavors — not«too many» as in some trendy places in town — this is great bolognese, pesto, thin crust pizza — and oh yeah, lots of hot and cold coffee and tea(and wine) choices. They also have wonderful made-from-scratch soup every day.

While their staff is friendly and the food may be good, its a given that as a coffee shop, they should have their own WiFi connection for their customers. They don’t have one– instead they piggyback off their neighbors and blame them if the connection is down. Wasted $ 10 and a half hour here.

Café Avec is a gem that’s right next to the Koreatown Galleria on Wilshire/Western. When I came there on an early Friday night, it was already nearly at capacity with mostly Korean aunties and uncles, which was a good sign. I suspect the reason for this is because the prices are pretty darn good for what you are getting, especially at a sit-down restaurant at dinner — their prosciutto and fig jam arugula sandwich was served with a side of chips for only $ 7.50! The wild mushroom alfredo pasta($ 11) was excellent, served piping hot freshly off the pan. Caveats: Unfortunately it seems they’re currently rather painfully understaffed, being a family-run outfit of just 3 people. You think the young man behind the counter is merely the bartender /barista? No! He’s also the waiter, the busboy, and the host, and I saw him wheeling out dessert to make final garnishing touches at the table. Pros: The reasonable pricing, the ambiance and comfortable seating make this a charming place to stay. Easy parking with an underground lot, a rarity in Ktown, makes this even more of a no brainer. But most importantly — you can’t beat the taste: compliments to the head chef!

GREENTEALATTE! Get it! You won’t regret it, but don’t say I didn’t warn you — you will become addicted! My friend and I tried the seafood pasta and wild mushroom pasta. Ask for the pickled jalapeño if you need a little kick to your pasta. I recommend finishing the meal with the shaved ice with fruits. It’s refreshing to have a Ktown café that doesn’t blast Kpop music. I actually heard some Smiths and at a decibel level conducive to conversation. We shall return.

I ordered ice americano and my friend ordered ice coffee. Its a coffee shop! How can you go wrong with ice americano and ice coffee? Service lacked too. The server or the owner was just sitting at one of the tables chitchatting with someone. The coffee was so nasty I wanted to order something else but couldn’t get her attention. We just left. Never going back!

Came here for lunch with boyfriend cause I was hungry and wanted to try something new. Very tasteful nice ambiance Presentable food very well plating But food is too simple and bland. And service lacked The server didn’t really pay attention to us. She was talking and sitting down with two other people like she’s a customer. Overall I get mixed feeling with it cause it has potential and very shabby fab. But for service it lacks attendance and food needs more flavor I had the salad. It was alright. It’s a salad I could’ve made at home. I enjoy the desert though

I dropped by on my way to pick up my Chiweenie from Woori Pet Shop recently on a warm summer day and ordered a cappacino. The kid behind the counter took forever to make it. I was kind of hungry too and the bizarre menu didn’t offer much in the way of choices. I ordered spaghetti, which seemed out of place for a café, and it was über saucy — not my preference, but I was hungry and I ate it. The place was in desperate need of air conditioning. I was sweating from a half hour walk and nearly walked out when I realized the place wasn’t air conditioned. They have wi-fi. I ate, drank, and internetted(I just made that word up). If the place had air conditioning — I’d come back

Now open on Sunday evenings. Nice big parking lot underground, free wifi, and free refills with their coffee(but at half the price of other Korean coffee shops).

Went there on Friday night around 8pm. My first time there, and my impression was !@#$@!%. Here’s why. I had a date with a guy who I met for the first time. I was looking for a quiet, clean place to talk. We walked in and immediately saw servers(a guy and a girl) sitting at one of the tables, chatting– as if they were the customers. Well, maybe the guy was a customer and the server knew him… I don’t know. Anyhow– we looked around the place to sit. Quite smaller than expected. The table we decided to sit wasn’t even cleaned. It had cups and used napkins that previous customers used. Hm… I don’t know if the server was the owner or just a part timer. If she was the owner, she needs to get it together. If not, then the owner needs to get a different server. I might give it another try as always, because my hot lemon tea wasn’t bad. But this horrible first impression of this place won’t go away soon!

So good under the new management about two months ago. The new owner is so cool, fun and speaks English ;) My favorite their is seafood pasta and misutgaru smoothy, it’s kinda smoothy made out of multi-grain. Not crazy loud like other coffee places in k-town and have tables with large group between 8 – 10. Also has separate room divided by glass door.
