Had a hair in my pastry, and the nice lady refunded my order completely and gave me a free salad as a replacement. I give minus one star for the hair(she said it was the bakers fault). Four stars for the great comeback. I will probably come back here because it is quiet, comfortable, and feels tucked away. I am studying here now and it is very nice.

Well I’m a little disappointed because I came over here during my break to try an iced coffee with vanilla and lavender syrup. However, the lavender has been discontinued and no one has bothered to take it off the menu or the website. So instead, I got a regular old iced vanilla coffee, nothing special at all because who hasn’t had that before??? So that much was a bummer. However, the shop is very nice. It has white funiture and is very clean. I’d say it’s a nice place to come and sit for a bit. Even though they don’t have lavender syrup anymore, they have a nice selection of sandwiches, salads, juices and other such items. With that said, I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way to come here again(sigh), but might consider if I happen to be walking past it for some unusual reason. 060⁄100

Great place for lunch!!! The Chai Tea and Turkey Sandwich is an awesome combo here. This café is located inside LACMA and there are plenty of outdoor seatings to sit and relax.

Not incredibly remarkable — had a chai latte, it was very good, had some of the pastries(an apricot pastry thingy) which was also delicious. Spacious area, free wifi, seems to be in the lobby of an office building. Parking is on the street, but I didn’t really have a problem getting parking on Sepulveda.

I pass by here on my way to work, so I decided to stop by and I am so glad that I did. I saw they had lavender lattes on the menu, I never had one so I decided to try it. Very exotic for me, as well as very delicious. I think I found a new favorite! And the banana nutella pop tart is amazing!

Coffee by Intelligentsia is certainly an attraction here, though I must say my first cup tasted less than fresh: just a tad above luke-warm and bitter. Before I tried it, I almost asked for another cup. The well-intentioned barista, well, he literally put his palm on the ceramic cup. Yes, I prefer coffee in an actual cup, not paper. And, yes, ideally, I love to enjoy it on the premises, when possible. While checking out the cup, he sort of casually/mindlessly place his hand on top of the cup — and, alas, was not wearing gloves. So, I started a little grossed out. I had half of it, and honestly stopped drinking it. Surely this must not be fresh, I finally concluded to myself. The barrista gladly gave me a new cup, and yes, this one was a whole lot better. The pastries looked to be not all that numerous, but somewhat promising. Even if I don’t get a muffin or cookie etc, I am always interested to know more about them. Unfortunately, the barista didn’t know where they’re from. He later did ask the manager, and that’s something, I guess. Lunchwise, they offer sandwiches and salads. I believe this is a Patina Restaurant endeavor, so I’m sure the quality is pretty strong. The physical space is sort of Indie Corporate. Comfy, if kind of severe booths and tables. It’s all white. Their traffic seems mostly for the office building that they service. I would definitely swing by again and give the place another look. It’s nice to see a less-obvious chain available to enjoy coffee(and possibly more).

I was wanting to love this place because Starbucks next to them and Coffee Bean a few steps down is generic coffee. While C+M uses Intelligencia Coffee(which is amazing)… the offerings on their menu… don’t match their store. I asked about the Lavendar Latte that people rave about and it was met with«yeah, we can’t make that»… then I point to the menu and I ask«What blended drinks do you offer?» and that was met with«Yeah, we can’t make that cause we don’t have base to make it»… then I see they can make«milkshakes»… nope just an offering on the menu they can’t fulfill. PROS: Intelligencia. Good Iced Latte(they were able to make that. Great frigerated fresh fruits. Excited for the berries :). Good cookie I ordered too. CONS: 3 things I asked for… they didn’t have. I work in the same Gateway… but I think at least with Starbucks… they will have 99% of what is listed on their menu. I like that. Cause at least I will have alternatives. Maybe I will try again in a few months but depending on reviews from this point forward. Very disappointed, because I wanted to love it.

I have worked in the building since May 2014. I was so excited when we first moved here, the people at C&M gave great service, the coffee was amazing and the food was quality. The place has gone down hill since then. The associates and the menu have changed. I come here at least once a week to get a salad and the ladies that now work here are very unfriendly. Whenever I come in I feel like I am bothering them to ring me up. Also, I always ask for a side of their home made chips. Months ago they use to be free and now they charge $ 1.50. I get it. They need to make a profit. However now they made the bags smaller and I am paying $ 1.50 for 10 chips that aren’t as good as they use to be. I also use to love their sandwichs, especially the turkey bacon, but the recent ones I have gotten have made me sick. They also are made fresh in the morning but they warm them up in the afternoon and does not taste good. This place has such a convienent location and a beautiful store but I hope they change their customer service, quality of their food and make their food proportions match the price.

I don’t review often, but my experience at this store today has compelled me. I work in the same building and get coffee every single day. I usually go to Starbucks, but in the name of supporting alternative coffee joints, I come to C+M every now and then. Today I ordered an americano, and topped it off with some cream. Inside the drink, there was what I can only describe as a giant ball of mucous. I have narrowed down the possible causes to: a giant spit ball or spoiled milk. I try to always be very friendly to the staff here, given that I work in the building. Given the lack of any cause for spitting in my drink, I am leaning towards bad milk. But, spit or not, there was a giant ball of mucous in my americano, and that’s not OK. Needless to say, I will NEVER go here again. Starbucks over mucous-coffee, any day.

Super bummed that they close so early, but I know it’s a business coffee shop. They have LAVENDERLATTESANDYOUHAVETOTRYONE. Their pastries are really tasty, too! Nice seating indoor and outdoor, with a very clean hipster vibe. But just try the lavender latte. You’ll see. (Unless you hate lavender scented things, then you’ll hate me if you try one.)

I can enjoy a good cup of intelligentsia coffee and would pay a bit more for it. I work in the building and come here quite often for coffee, and food. The service is great and a good spot to check out. ENJOY!

I Visit C+M at least once a day. I’m in there every morning. May I have a pour over with almond milk and chocolate muffin top please? Socorro, Lola, and Cindy know exactly how to make someone feel welcome. They never fail to remember my order. They deliver 100% great customer service. They go out of their way to explain the full menu and have a social and very friendly conversation with me. Their coffee is brewed to perfection. My everyday coffee is el gallo. I like my coffee strong and el gallo is their darker roast. They do however offer a lighter roast for those who prefer. Although their coffee is slightly over priced, your trip to C+M is definitely worth it. If you’re looking for a coffee place that gives you good vibes, C+M is what you’re looking for. The girls always seem to keep the place tidy. And the music they play make the shop a lot more enjoyable. I love when I go inside and they have the greatest hits from the early 50’s playing. Great place MUST check it out.

Came here after a solid workout & was on the hunt for an egg-filled breakfast when the pristine décor of c+m caught my eye. I went inside off the reliance of 5 Unilocal reviews(oo~ brave soul~) & was pleased to find they did indeed have eggs in some menu items! I went with the customizable breakfast sandwich where you could pick between a bagel or croissant as the bread & combinations of eggs, sausage, bacon, spinach, mushrooms & the like. Just rattle off your ideal fillings and be charged $ 4.50! I also got a mocha to go w my morning but this is where C+M disappointed. There was barely any mocha flavor & mostly milk. Shame shame. Hopefully it was just a fluke because I really want to come back and give this place 4 stars!

The Pick-Me-Up needed in the middle of the day! Great coffee and midday treats — and great customer service! I always ask for their recommendations — they always give me something new to try so I don’t get the same thing. Coffee + Milk!

You won’t find this little unassuming coffee spot to be anything like the dark, crowded, indie-folk-pop-music-playing, mermaid-adorned bitter grounds-slinging shop 100 feet west of it. And I love Starbucks, but I think that’s a good thing. There’s metered street parking, and I think there’s a garage too(you can get validation with an eight dollar purchase or something). They have coffee, tea, and snacks, which you can take to go, or enjoy at your leisure inside or out. Your drink will run you about a dollar more, but I find it’s well spent. Loved my coffee and my delicious pastry(Nutella banana«poptart»). Will definitely be coming back. Possibly my new go-to spot.
