— Coconut w/black sticky rice = $ 6, Not really good. The rice was hard and the mango was not very sweet. It tasted like they hardly put any effort into it.

I recently ordered delivery, I have never eaten in the store. I ordered veggie Pad See Ew and and the Spring rolls. The veggie Pad See Ew was so bland! Not inedible but just not very good. I did pick«very mild» as my choice when checking out, but I didn’t want my Pad See Ew to be spicy, that just sounds strange to me. The Spring rolls were actually very good, I just didn’t like how much I paid for 4 tiny rolls. If you are going to only offer finger sized spring rolls I expect them to be priced accordingly.(See picture for reference of tiny spring rolls) All in all, I will not be ordering from here again.

If I could give less stars I would. I ordered food a few days ago and it was un-consumable. I call to speak to a manager he’s not there for 3 days. When I do talk to John sworn he doesn’t give a shit about the food my complaint or giving proper customer service to neutralize the situation. I would have bought more food at a discounted price but they didn’t offer or show any essence food service/quality. Don’t purchase food from them they’re pieces of shit…

Loved it! Great food Great service Great everything! I had the panang w/soy chicken and I couldn’t get over how delicious it was. Seriously this Thai restaurant is by far the best restaurant I’ve been to. Best of all its VEGAN!!!

Bulan is solid. 3.5 stars although I’ll only give it 3. Summer rolls and the Thai Style Phở are delicious as is the Prig Khing. I’ve also had some very disappointing dishes like the Garlic Pepper with Pepper Steak(overall a very plain and barren dish.) and Pineapple fried rice(awful). Kuay Teaw Kua Gai Noodle is solid but dry. Some of their dishes are VERY dry… and others are very saucy so if you have a preference you should definitely ask. Also, if you like things spicy don’t forget to tell them or it will come as mild as a SoCal winter. Ending this on a positive note, they are BYOB which is nice.

The delivery was fast, but the food was actually inedible. I got pad Thai and dumplings, and they were so bland and tasteless that I actually had to toss them and go buy another meal. I was blown away — I’m no picky eater, and it takes a lot for me to throw away food. This was honestly that bad in every way.

Screen info from eat 24 #38148‑8522 SubmittedDec 19, 20156:53 pm Scheduled for ASAP Delivery order, received at 815 pm. One hour and 22 minutes. One hour and 22 minutes for ice cold food. No exaggeration, boxes weren’t even warm. Restaurant refused any type of discount, food replacement etc. I have spent a lot of money at this restaurant. They just lost a customer.

This review is for the Melrose location. I love this place! My favorite dishes here include — the Tom Kah mushroom soup, the Sate skewers appetizer, and the green curry with tofu. However, their curries and noodles are all very good! Ambiance is nice. Service is timely and polite. The place is also service dog friendly.

This place was good. The ambiance was chill. I ordered their lunch special and got dessert. Their pad thai lunch special came with salad and ordered their coconut icecream dessert. I loved their dessert more than my main dish hahaha great place for vegans

Wow the place is awesome and I hate vegetarian spots. The papaya salad is some of the best I’ve had in the city. Yellow curry was delicious and I was thrilled there was so many versions of rice. I got the coconut rice and the brown rice to accompany my curry. For a strictly vegetarian restaurant it was amazing. And we will certainly be back. Also the price was excellent. We had an appetizer, 2 salads and 2 curries for less than $ 60. Winning :)

Consistent, fast delivery, the chicken wings and spinach fried rice are guaranteed hits. Also the orange chicken and the pad see ew are some of my other constant picks. Everything feels done just right, I’ve even tricked my carnivorous friends into believing it wasn’t vegan as some people have issues with that word and food. It’s delicious and not greasy, a huge step up from most Thai spots in LA I’ve experienced. Of course it’s no Thailand made meal though

YUCK. Pad Thai is nightmare and everything from here is overpriced compared to other surround Thai restaurants. This place won’t survive on Melrose. The worst part is my stomach was all upset after eating here. just go away bulan

It was disappointing, I ordered two dishes bc of the minimum delivery. One was just bad and the other was good. I don’t think I’ll end up eating the leftovers of the bad one :/ No pants made it tolerable. Yellow curry: good Pad see ew: gross Portions: small and stupid

Been coming here for over 6 years and I swear it keeps getting better. Not many establishments can keep the quality so good for so long. Everything on the menu is great — and well worth the money. I have had just about everything on the menu and nothing has been bad. Even delivery comes out great! Wish it was open later though :(but not complaining !

Hands down one of my top 3 favorite restaurants ever. It’s small, the service is incredible and the food is to die for. It is also largely vegan as well. Chicken Panaeng Curry, chicken wings and the Crispy rice salad(might be called something different) are my favorite. My boyfriend always orders the papaya salad which is great too. He used to live in Thailand and was a meat eater the first time we came here. One bite into the chicken wings and he said«Omg I’d rather eat this than real chicken» GOTTEEEEEM! It’s also his favorite thai food place. They do not serve alcohol but you may bring your own bottle of wine. The only down side is that they pour it into these tiny tiny little water glasses lol. But that’s a champagne problem if I ever heard one. It seems like such a small, not so special place… but when you go and the waiters are so wonderful and eager to serve you and the food is incredible and the intimacy of the place makes you feel sort of special, it starts to feel magical. Because of that, my boyfriend and I always go here for special occasions. You must try it out!

My favorite spot to eat! VEGAN!!! Love that’s located on Melrose Ave. so close to everything. The menu is amazing! So many options to choose from. Everything is delicious, the prices are great and the vibe of the place is wonderful! Everyone is very friendly and sweet! They serve the food super fast! Love the desserts! Specially the sweet sticky rice with mango! Definitely a treasure of Weho/Hollywood!

Excellent food, awesome taste. I ordered grilled dumplings, hot wings and chicken Panaeng curry. I was surprised at how good the hot wings were almost as if I am having the real and very delicious chicken wings. Panaeng curry was the best out of everything I ordered. I am definitely going to visit this place again. Pros: Service: quick. Taste: One of the best Thai food I have tried before. Food quantity: Enough for me and my wife. Cons: Location: no self parking all valet parking, it took me around 30 mins to get a parking spot on a Tuesday.

Very chic and clean. The service is great. The food is on the sweeter side. The price is a little too expensive for the quality of the food. $ 12 for my noodle entrée which is typical of any vegan restaurant in Los Angeles. If it were a regular(non-vegan) restaurant it would have been $ 8 at most. The lunch special was $ 8.75, but the portion is very small. The waitresses were very attentive, constantly asking how we’re doing and refilling our glasses. The restaurant does offer many dishes. Which is great. The food tastes good. On the sweet side. However I’d go for the tofu next time instead of the veggie chicken. Will definitely return to this place.

I did take out so this will be a food review only. I have had Tom Kah soup before, but I think I found the last place I am going to get it. Wow! There was very little trash to dig out, or eat around. If you have had it like that then you know what I mean. It was really sour(in that great way!) I only wish it was bigger! Added in the sticky rice, and it’s just so good! Papaya salad. Decided to go no spice on this one. Wow again. I will 100% come back to this place and try to get something different, but it’s going to be hard to not get that soup!

First, they refused to make gluten free pad thai. I found this bizarre since pad thai shouldn’t have any ingredients that have gluten to begin with. It’s usually listed as one of the ‘safe’ meals you can get at any thai restaurant… so I’m not sure what these people are putting in their pad thai. Second, I ended up ordering pad see ew, which was completely flavorless. Looked like someone had forgotten to put sauce on it. Third, I ordered sautéed broccoli and received a vegetable dish that did not contain any broccoli at all.

I haven’t written a Unilocal review in years but this place is amazing. I love that although it’s called vegetarian, everything is either vegan or can be made vegan(vegan optional). I had the spring rolls with my girl which was a nice appetizer. I mixed hot sauce with the sweet and sour sauce and it was great. For my main dish, I ordered the yellow curry with veggie chicken and a side of white rice— it was just amazing. I was full and had some left over so I got a box to go. No room for dessert but they looked good and were all vegan too! I just ate my left overs not warmed up and it was still amazing! Service: nice Asian guy(I guess he was Thai?). He was super attentive and sweet and I drank a lot of water way too fast but he kept the refills and made sure we go everything we needed. Asian places can be a hit or miss with service so I’m yay go bulan go bulan! I’ve been a server for years so I’m pretty patient either way, but when I dine at Asian places, I go for the food not the service lol and if service sucks but the food is good I’ll still be happy haha, but this place had the whole package. We were there around 1230 pm on a Monday and it was close to empty. I just hope they get more business because they deserve it. This place is a gem if you love Thai and vegan food. I will definitely be back. It’s close to my church too :).
