Bruns a beast! Thanks for bringing fresh bread from New Orleans out here; makes my mouth water. I always get the pecan smoked pork. Specials are always amazing too. Legit

If I could give this place a zillion stars I would. I’ve only eaten here three times but my oh my. It makes me feel like I’m back in the south eating my families cooking. I always get the specials and they are always so good. And both Brun and the cook in the back(sorry I don’t know your name). Are super nice and personable and always make conversation while you wait for your food. If this truck is ever in front of you do yourself a favor and order something.

First off I wasn’t planning on buying lunch today, but I saw Brun’s Creole Soul Kitchen Truck, and that stopped me in my tracks. So I decided to check out the menu and see if it was anything that I would eat(I love me so Creole food) and Saw Dirty Rice, and that was the winner, So I had the Cajun meat pie, and Dirty Rice… Can i just say I was blown away the spices, the texture, and the taste, OMFG!!! I will be following them, and hunting them down when I need my Creole fix again, and that will be really soon. Please make it your mission to always be on Wilshire and Hauser on Wed. Thank you @purple.polish.eater(Instagram)

Food truck was parked on Grand street on Bunker Hill in Los Angles where you can find them dishing out Cajun goodness every Tuesday. I ordered the Gravy fries and crawfish empanada and it did not disappoint. Waffle cut fries were smothered in gravy and cheese OMG delish!!! The crawfish empanada was nice crispy and had a generous filling that was seasoned to excellence!!! Check this dudes out!!! Great food, fairly priced and generous portions. The seasoning is on point!

About to try my first crawfish pie today. Happy days indeed. Their Alligator Rangoon has changed my life. Last week I had their turkey sausage po-boy and I almost fell out of my chair.

I have no words to describe Brun’s Creole Soul Kitchen! It is absolutely amazing. Whenever you see this truck, YOUMUSTTRYIT! Everything is absolutely delicious and fresh! Brun’s jambalaya, the po-boy sandwich, the tacos… everything is so delicious, addictive and healthy. I’ve never been a fan of trucks before I tried Brun’s Creole Soul Kitchen. As an Italian who loves cooking and food, I give this a full five star and recommend it to everyone, including vegan and gluten free people. I’m gluten free myself and Brun’s Creole Soul Kitchen has so many options for people with allergies. Way to go!!!

Jsut saw them on and were stationed down my workplace. Ordered some Creole Fries and a Poutin Po-Boy Sandwhich. Fries are dam crispy and seasoned well. the sandwhich was over packed with chicken, more fries topped with gravy. Only if there were more food trucks around central downtown LA.

I would like to LOVE this truck more except he’s not too many places other than DTLA during week day lunches which is never going to happen for me. Boo Brun, BOOOOOOOO!

I ran across this truck at the Fresco Market Thurs night food truck gathering. There was a sign by the truck that said«Do you know what it means to miss New Orleans?» and I totally do, I miss NOLA all the time. I was intrigued by the taco combinations and when I asked, Chef Brun made me a special off-menu vegan version of the potato tacos. They were so good and fresh and not heavy or greasy. I can’t say that it made me miss New Orleans any less, but it did make me yearn for more tacos!

Omg the best food truck tacos I’ve ever had! And the guys who work there were so super fun and accommodating of our lactose intolerance. I ate them 2 hrs ago and can’t stop thinking about those potato gravy tacos. I wish they would park outside of my house

In NELA you can get a po’ boy that can compete with the best in NOLA when Brun’s Creole Soul Kitchen rolls up to the Fresco market on some Thursday nights.(wish it was every thursday night!!) Chef Brun Trumble knocks it out of the park with the BeastMaker. I have had many a po’ boy from the streets of New Orleans to the streets of Philadelphia and the Beast Master is a glorious sandwich that if you closed your eyes you could taste Bourbon Street. The french bread here is key and he definitely shipped it from New Orleans because it has a soft but crusty goodness that is a signature part of any po’ boy and his mix of fresh lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and the super crispy shrimp and sopping roast beef goodness was absolutely stunning. I was in my car late to LAX when I took my first bite of this sandwich driving down the 110 Freeway and I almost crashed the car!!! it was that good! I couldn’t drive straight. By the time I got down to LAX my shirt and pants were a mess but it was all worth it. Tonight I went back to Lunch Truck Thursdays at Fresco Market and Chef Brun Trumble was there again! I had to give another sandwich a try. Tonight it was the BabyMaker! Talking to Chef Trumble he said the BabyMaker was created when one of his frequent customers combined his pulled pork with his fried shrimp in a po’ boy. I ordered the 10″ sandwich and I inhaled it instantly The pulled pork was fantastic. Very tender, nice bbq flavor with a tinge of a spicy kick at the end. The blend of the piping hot friend shrimp with the pork was heaven. Like the BeastMaker this sandwich was over flowing in the way they always do it in NOLA and each bite the juicy goodness was in my mouth and on the table. It was a messy meal in the way you would eat a Tommy burger with the chilli spilling all over the place. I’ve had the pleasure of visiting NOLA many a time and have lived in Philadelphia one of the best sandwich spots in the world and the BeastMaker and the BabyMaker are hands down one of the most fantastic po’ boy creations ever made and one of the best sandwiches I have tried this year! Bravo Chef Trumble! I look forward to tasting more of your creations!

Maybe it’s just because I’m not much of a po’ boy person, but the roast beef and gravy one I had at FYF Fest over the weekend was passable for festival/beer food but not much else. The shrimp didn’t mesh well with the beef and it was just odd. Wouldn’t be opposed to trying something else on the menu at some point though.

Brun knows Creole flavors, style and execution. The Po’boys, hand pies and waffle fries are the jam here. Don’t miss out on these guys if they are rolling through the block. Love the Saints license plate holder too on the truck.

Brun can throw down. You want authentic creole creations, then you have come to the right place. I usually get either gumbo or the meat or crawfish pies and all are delicious but today I tried the«Baby Maker» Po’ Boy and it was simply AMAZING. If you’re not up for pork and shrimp then try the shrimp Po’ Boy by itself(very filling and he doesn’t skimp on the shrimp!) I’m pretty certain everything this guy makes is just awesome so I plan to try the entire menu. Please bring the bacon pecan pralines you had at the farmers market to your food truck, those are to die for!
