Bruce Q’ s Barbershop and Salon

I’m one of those people who gets a wild hair up their butt & needs a haircut that day. I can’t plan weeks in advance for most hair salons. That’s why Bruce is perfect for me!!! I called him & was in his chair in less than 15 minutes. I love to talk music, movies & just life with him. Thank you, Bruce, for always being so accommodating. You’re the best!

A few months ago I came to this shop with a terrible haircut that I got somewhere else, and the older woman who cut my hair completely fixed it and was extremely friendly. Bruce was there with another customer, and the place had a great vibe.
Today I came back for a routine visit. Bruce was outside the shop and greeted me before he even knew I was coming in for a cut. He then proceeded to give me probably the best haircut I’ve ever had. He said he’s been cutting hair since the 70’s — well it certainly shows. I’ve definitely found my new guy!
Bruce is a world class Barber. If you’re looking for a world class haircut — look no further.

I visited this shop today to get a line up on my mustache and beard. The second I walked in the shop the woman cutting hair told me what she didn’t do before I could even say what I needed. Then she proceeded to tell me she didn’t know how she could help me out so I asked what type of clippers did she have. She gave me attitude when I politely asked and then said thanks for coming when I wasn’t even planning on leaving. I understand this is not a black barber shop that specializes in urban styles but I think the mustache and goatee are universal styles. Would never recommend anyone to this shop.

After moving her from Europe a few years back I had really hard time finding a place who could do both my hair and beard. Tons of barber shops out there I just wasn’t really satisfied you know… Just until i tried this place. (I only had Lorisa done my hair)
Cool thing is you can bet a $ 15 car wash while you’re getting your hair done as well. Perfect right?

It was my first time at this barber shop, one of my friend’s had referred me to Larisa. I’m extremely satisfied, she’s very quick, and she got the haircut I need. Definitely going back to Larisa next time.

I used to get my hair cut from Bruce Q at Rudy’s in Silver Lake — but then I let my hair grow long, and hadn’t been to Rudy’s since. A couple years later, a friend who worked with Bruce at Rudy’s tells me that he’s opened up his own shop, and so, of course, I had to go show support!
Larissa was the one who cut my hair, however, as Bruce had stepped out for lunch (I arrived around 1pm on a Wed). Having read such great Unilocal reviews about her, I trusted that I’d be happy with the results. And indeed I was. Larissa lopped off about 10″-12″ of hair, and now I have a sweet, sleek bob cut.
Highly recommended.

Backstory… saw my sister on our vacation with the best haircut I’ve seen on her in a long time. She told me the story of going to the car wash and spur of moment got a cut at the shop on site! We laughed and she told me about Larissa. How she was absolutely top notch. (My sis was a hairdresser in previous life)
I was up in Glendale staying with mom & sis, and sister said.. let’s all go get our hair cut! Off to see Larissa. Larissa was tickled to have us all, gave my mom a fantastic cut, making her thin hair look full & healthy. My super damaged and god knows when my last cut was, Larissa rose to the challenge. I got a wonderful bob, graduated short to long, all the damage is gone, new cute style instead! My sis just got a trim, so cute.
If you’re ever in the need for a hidden gem of a stylist, go see Larissa! On a side note, Bruce, the other stylist, gave 2 guys the cleanest, precise cuts I’ve ever seen. Magic with a razor.
The music is cool too.

Bruce is great. Good music, conversation, and atmosphere… like a barbershop should be. Best place to get a haircut in LA. Better and cheaper than the other shops in Los Feliz, Silverlake, Glendale, and Atwater. As a bonus… You can get your car washed while you get a haircut.

I came here out of the blew, looked up Barber Shop in the area. Sat down with my big thinning hair problem. Bruce read my head like a canvas, picked up his paint brush and made magic.

Once again another fantastic haircut from the AWESOME Bruce! I’ve been a fan for over a decade and I always get a great cut from him. The compliments keep rolling in and the cut I got from him today was fantastic!

This place is just a disappointment man, they just want your money. I dislike this place so much now! First time going in and last time ever! Horrible job!

So I was a little apprehensive about a car wash barber shop… but after several cuts Bruce delivers!!!
My first stop was out of convenience as I live close by…
Bruce changed my normal cut and faded it a lil more. and bam ready for any head shot in Hollywood!!! Hahahhaha
I pop in when I can and Bruce has always accommodated me… Good conversation and good hair cuts… no wonder he has 5 stars…

Quick tip: located inside of Car Wash.
Got a beard trim and a touch-​up of my hair around the ears and the back from Larise or Larisa, can’t remember how her name was spelled; either one there’s only one woman with a similar name.
Larise was quick, accurate, and knew exactly what would look good when I had no real preference; will definitely, be back. I walked in and sat down. Done within 15 mins and that’s only because I was new.
Will be back every other week.

Love this place.
Have had two cuts from Larisa so far, both outstanding.
Larisa will always wait an extra minute or two for me on a weeknight, which really means a lot.
I love the fact that it is at a car wash, too.
Brilliant.
Plenty of parking and the lot is extremely easy to get to (being a car wash).
Will definitely keep coming back and recommend to friends.

My son got a pretty good hair cut here while we waited for the car to get washed. Super efficient and convenient.

Larisa has been cutting and styling my hair for many years. I follow her wherever she goes, because no body does a better job than she. I used to have a lot of hair, and now I have to manage with what’s left of it – short, dry and brittle. After getting a haircut from Larisa, I become a different woman; at least for several weeks I enjoy looking in the mirror. .For her it is not only a job, she is an artist who loves to make you look beautiful! Her hands are gentle, and she works fast. I have short hair, but every time I come she likes to suggest something to make me look a little different. After visiting Larisa I always get a lot of complements on how great I look.

Great service! Larissa cut my moms hair and the color and cut is just beautiful! She did a great job especially for our Xmas party tomorrow! Looks bright and healthy! Will def go back!
