Fantastic Food! The Rib Tips, Mac and Cheese and Greens are amazing. It’s addicting it’s so good! The chicken is moist and tender, and everything that I’ve ordered has been fantastic!

Came for lunch on a Sunday, they were out of mac and cheese, all ribs, and all sliced meats. WTF??? The woman behind the glass looked and acted as if she wanted to be somewhere else. I opted to try this place instead of Woody’s… I shouldn’t have.

I am so impressed! I ordered this tray that feeds 6 – 8 people. I asked for the sauce on the side so I could make an honest opinion. We all know that good meat is good with or without sauce. Well, their meat is marvelous! Along with the young lady that helped me at the window. Her customer service is priceless! I will most definitely be back!

Smokey, tender, flavorful meat and delicious sides! I am truly a fan. I typically enjoy the usual beans and mac salad or potato salad with my ribs, but this time I decided to switch it up and have greens and mac and cheese instead. I am SO glad I made that choice. Everything was delicious and I will definitely patronize Brothers BBQ again!

This is an updated review — Brothers has won a loyal customer in me. I went to Brothers BBQ yesterday evening around 5:30pm(New Years Eve) since they were open til 7pm. By the time I got there, they were pretty much out of any and all type of ribs and Mac n Cheese(To be expected on a holiday. They were closing shortly and whatever ribs were being cooked out back wouldn’t be ready before closing). January 1st being my birthday, I figured to treat myself and the fam to some Brothers to close out the year, since I figured they’d be closed on New Years Day. I ordered from what they did have — 1lb of Tri Tip, a whole chicken, baked beans, and some chicken and beef links. As I was waiting on my order I decided to go out back, you know, where the magic happens, to see what the fellas were cooking back there. Got to talking with them and they asked if it was my first time. Told them that it was my 2nd time in 2 weeks coming, and told them since Jan 1st was my birthday that I came for some ribs, but found out they were fresh out of ribs, so I told the fellas what I had ordered. Afterwards, I went back to the front to pick up my order and as I’m walking to my car, one of the men in the back asks if they gave me any ribs with my order. I walked up to him and told him that I had not got any as they told me they were out of ribs. So he told me to wait there while he went in to grab something. This is where I became a loyal customer of Brothers — Bruh man brought me a box with a few pork ribs in it. He gave them to me, free of charge, and said Happy Birthday. You should have seen the massive grin on my face!(It turns out, he had just taken out a few pork ribs to taste test, and the ones he took out were fully cooked/ready.) I shook his hand, and asked what his name was — Roe. Apparently the big dawg in charge of the whole operation. I thanked him and told him they had won a loyal customer in me for life. That’s quality and attentive service, if ever I saw it! Brothers BBQ definitely has won my patronage as far as authentic BBQ here in Los Angeles is concerned!(Below is a picture I took after wifey set up the dinner table).

Great find — smokey, flavorful meat, great beans and slaw and mac and cheese. Tangy sauce. Would love to have had garlic bread. I could live on the rib tips or tri-tip, beans and slaw(but my cardiologist would be pissed). Also wish that they had some tables — but it is take-out only.

OMG!!! I’ve had smoked turkeys and bbq before, but I haven’t had bbq & smoked turkey like I had tonight. I took a chance on this place, having never been. EVER! GREAT flavor! GREAT taste! The smokiness of the meat was certainly evident. I wish I lived in LA, because this would be my go to for bbq. So if you are ever in the area stop by and get some delicious«q.»

Delicious BBQ. I am a native Texan, and great BBQ is hard to find in LA. If you are in the area, check out Brothers BBQ. So lip smacking good… mmmm. I had the juicy tri tip and tasty chicken links. Banana Pudding, mac and cheese, beans, and greens. Definitely happy with Brothers!

Just had a pulled pork sandwich from here. That is some of the best bbq I’ve had west of the Mississippi.

Just go. Trust me, just go. Ribs are juicy, and that BBQ sauce… just go. Pulled pork sandwich on a long roll… just go. And everything else on the menu? Just go. Catering prices are really decent too. Has parking on the lot. The family who runs it are so nice and welcoming. You won’t be disappointed! Just go.

Killer BBQ! We picked up dinner here and brought it home for later — it was so awesome — it has been almost a month since then and I’m still thinking about that smoky goodness. Sadly they were out of both mac & cheese and the banana pudding the evening we were there — yet another reason to come back. I would drop them on a 5 star 1 dollar sign list…

Really nice owners and really good, inexpensive lunch specials that comes with a drink. I ordered the beef tips with sauce on the side. I also ordered mac n cheese and potato salad as sides. The beef tips were really dry even with the BBQ sauce. The mac n cheese was just okay and the potato salad tasted like it was store bought. The containers that the sides came in were super small! I really wanted to like this place too…

had to do this review! i know i have a lot of 5 star reviews, but i generally won’t go out of my way to write one unless the food has a WOW factor to it, or if it down right sucks! onto the review: after working in south central for over 5 years, i’ve got know he neighborhood pretty well. this is def the place for some REAL bbq ribs. over the years i’ve gotten to know many of these bbq joints. some have gone away & some are still standing. one thing for sure, these people don’t mess around when it comes to true bbq cooking! originally i was going to order at another establishment that begins & ends with«D», they were too busy to take my order. whatevs yo! i’ll find someone who wants my business. & thank you for helping me find this little gem! Service: ordering over the phone went pretty smooth. asked a few questions about my order, they answered them pretty well. they were very helpful. FYI, sometimes in «da hood», i’ve known it to be on the«not so welcoming» side of things. the kind where you walk up & they immediately say«WhuchUwant!», one word. i know it’s not the people being rude, it’s just different here in da hood i guess. so anyway, they’re not like that. they’re very friendly & accommodating :) food was ready in 10 min. of course this was about an hour before dinner so business was a little slow. FYI again, when most people think this is the time to give me better service, you would be surprised how lame restaurants get when it slows down. Talked to the owners, they were very friendly, they knew the area, knew of the other BBQ joints i’ve eaten before. they knew what was up! very humble peeps :) Food: I ordered 2 dinners. Sliced Beef & Small ribs. sliced beef– i believe this to be the best i’ve ever had! i loved everything about it. Color, texture, tenderness, juicyness, the crispy bbq edges of the meat. this is a masterpiece in the art of beef! :D

DAMN! *smack* *moan* YUM!!! This sums up my take-out experience at Brothers BBQ. We were having a Jeep Day and as we sometimes do, we went downtown. Since we’ve been binge-watching House of Cards and drooling over the constant gobbling of ribs we decided to get some and go home and watch the Pats give the Colts a much deserved thumping. We had baby back ribs, potato salad and beans. OHMYGOD!!!(See above sound effects) we were very sad that they were out of mac and cheese as well as banana pudding but since we’re going back we’ll get it then. Im sure that’ll be great too.

I almost didn’t want to write this review so I could keep this gem from being overcrowded. Thankfully, there are enough reviews so mine won’t tip the scales. I’ve had Philips, and Woody’s. They’re good, for sure, but not quite as good as Brothers. Brother’s just does it all right. The food(especially the baby back ribs) were delicious and the price was competitive. The only downside is that the location is ghetto and the building is ghetto. I believe I even saw a bullet impact mark in the front facing street glass. Since it’s takeout only(i.e. no seating), I never stay long enough to care what the place looks like or what’s around it. 5 stars for being the best BBQ on the west side and my go to joint when I crave. If only I could move it out of the ghetto and put it closer to where I live.

Woooooooo Boy! Every now and then, this ex-Texan gets a hankering for some down home goodness… When I pulled up and saw the gentleman at his smoker out back, I had a great feeling that it was gonna be delicious! Once inside, the two ladies I chatted it up with were absolute dolls :-). I got the ribs, tri-tip, and the chicken with sauce on the side. My husband walked while I was crushing it and said I had bbq sauce all over my face, and I was like, «I don’t give AF». HA. It was all fingerlickin’ good. My greens were on point too. You can tell this man’s heart is in what he does on the pit, and I love to support businesses like that. This is too good to be so close to my house ;-) I’ll be back.

Bought a Groupon and made the trek down here for some BBQ and Brothers didn’t disappoint. The restaurant is basically a shack with a smoker in the back so there are no seats here. The unfriendly cashier said the Ribs and chicken were best so I got the 2 meat combo(ribs and chicken) with beans, potato salad and banana pudding for dessert. The Ribs was the best item and they give a large portion of them. The chicken wasn’t bad but I prefer the ribs. I think the sauce is a little too sweet. There is parking in the back.
