I love Brooks Brother clothing and usually the sales person are so friendly and helpful. So when I found out that there was a BB just a few blocks from my office I was so excited, they are located adjacent to the Jonathan Club building.
I walked there from my office ready to buy some summer shirts and office shirts. I was ready to spend some $$. however, as I walked into the store I received unwanted stares from the two sales associate there. As I approached one of them walked away and the other one just turned around. So I said to the guy, hi can you help me… he turned around, forced a smile and said «yes» that was it.
I told him I was looking for summer shirts… he cuts me off before I could finish the rest of my sentence. «We only carry dress shirts» and turned away. This really pissed me off. Perhaps this store location is exclusive for Jonathan Club members? So I started to leave, but then turned around and said to the guy…“so you don’t want to even try to sell me some dress shirts? He replies, «I could, what do you need?» I said I need you to do your job, but since you are not interested I will go elsewhere. He replied «ok, thank you.»
I am not rich, I do have a great job and salary, and I do enjoy buying good clothing, but I will not tolerate such snobbery from any sales associate.

I couldn’t say something without clicking any stars. Just a note. This store does not have a ladies section.

Update: After posting my review someone from Brooks Brothers’ customer service reached out to me. They sent me a new shirt and it arrived today, two business after posting my first review. The new shirt is flawless. Five stars for the prompt response and resolution.

Some employees are nice… The manager is condescending and all around annoying.
Thanks for nothing. Used to be a brooks brothers fan, this store almost ruined them completely for me…
But the rodeo drive location actually had all pleasant staff, including the manager.
Good luck if this is the brooks brothers you end up going to, but if you have a choice… Stick to Beverly Hills. The location is much nicer anyway.

I believe this to be the best Brooks Brothers store. It’s on the smaller side and, since it is downtown, caters to professional men’s wear.
I just purchased a suit during the semi-​annual sale. My size suit was sent from another store on the east coast and I had it tailored and fitted here. Everyone was helpful, especially Landon, and the process was professional, friendly, and seamless.
I’ve stopped by a few other times for both professional and casual stuff. The selection for men is pretty solid and they will order you anything if they don’t have it. If you enjoy being well-​dressed, I definitely recommend here.

Stopped in to check out the store… very nice. Good to know in case I ever want to get my «Teddy Ruxpin» on.

This is a nice Brooks Brothers location downtown. As you know, in LA your only three options are Beverly Hills, Century City and downtown LA. The downtown location is by far the smallest. Parking is difficult compared to the Century City location. The staff were friendly and helpful. This is a great location if you need something and you work or live downtown but if you are traveling I’d probably go to one of the other two locations since they are much bigger.

I have purchased suits in New York at the flagship store and in DTLA. My experience in NY was horrible because they didn’t treat me like I was buying a pair of $ 800 suits. My experience at the LA store has been excellent. They actually treat like they want your business and the tailor they use is excellent. I agree with others that Ashley is awesome and the whole staff is customer focused and service oriented. Great store with a great staff.

I love it when you go into a retail store and they treat you like you are the most important person on the planet. I visited Brooks Brothers in DTLA several times and always walk away with the best experience. The quality of the products is second to none and they always make suggestions which makes me buy more. I love to be up sold when it is done with finesse.
I was assisted by ASHLEY. She is a newer associate. Her professionalism and attention to detail was excellent. She followed up with a special request that I had and made the whole experience a 10++.
Large retail stores could learn a lesson form the level of service provided.

Just opened in downtown on 6^th and Fig. We went on a Saturday so it was pretty quiet and just the manager there. He was very helpful and even though it’s a small store they had every thing we wanted in the size we needed.
They focus on men’s clothing so besides jewelry there wasn’t any women’s selection.

Just opened in the Jonathan Club. Service seemed good, however its a small store. I was told they have more stock in the back if you don’t find your size. Appeared to be mostly their men’s clothing.
