Update. How unfortunate. This place was so money and now it isn’t worth my money. The pastrami is still a good cut but under the new management the portions are literally ½ of what they used to be. The place went from employees that ate the food and made it as if they were making it for friends, to these girls that seem bothered by your presence. They’re confused by special requests, not like asking for my bread to be made by monks on the southeast face of the Pirenese mountain range. I’m talking about asking for extra mustard is just impossible. I think it boils down to the fact that the new employees are not happy to be there making the food and they don’t eat the food so they don’t know what is good. The last batch of guys were exited to do new things with the sandwiches. They took suggestions and added love for their food to the order. It showed in portions and the care they took to make things right. How unfortunate that a good place went to hell so quick.

Sloppy Bronx was debatably one of the best sub sandwiches I have ever eaten. This is a family owned business located inside a liquor store(separate entity), the employees are very kind and polite. I’m from Oceanside but I was in LA for the autoshow. Found these guys on Unilocal and gave them a shot, VERY pleased I did. Definitely found my «go-to» sand which/burger joint when I’m in town. I love finding these little mom & pop shop gems. Great place, don’t let yourself miss out because it’s in a rougher area of LA or because it’s in a liquor store. I’ll be back!

Don’t get fooled by the location! we heard about this place from my cousin she’s always saying that she has never tasted a sandwich like this place so we decided to try it out and let me to tell u they were the best sandwiches we had ever had its called the babe. It’s loaded with their delicious meat subway has nothing on them! my brother still can’t stop talking about how good their customer service is and with their good food makes it that much better!!! I just found my self my new favorite spot!!!

Good quality ingredients. Sandwiches and burgers are very tasty. More than 100 times better than subway. If you are in the area and go to subway sandwich instead, you’re a fool. My personal favorite, the Babe. You know what they say, you are what you eat. Don’t be taken back by what some people call a «sketchy» area or the fact that it’s in the back of a liquor store, it makes it that much better.

You may want to know that there isn’t much room to sit and eat here. Situated in the back of a liquor store. There’s a few barstools(maybe 3?) that you can sit at if you want to eat on-site. Food itself — the ingredients and especially the sandwich bread(french rolls) they use here is pretty tasty. The contents of the burgers & sandwiches are of nice quality too. Had a friend try the Sloppy Bronx — I actually felt bad watching him eat it up… like I was thinking, would I just call 911 when he had his heart attack or if I’d try to render some sort of CPR or what. It just has that… look to it — you know… totally not good for you. Nomnom — not sure if I can afford to be back but definitely worth a try!

I really do love this place. Great food, come here often. My only thing is the health code violations! There have been times I’ve seen the workers handle money with their gloves on then prepare the food. This last time I had one of the cooks answer her phone while cooking, gloves on, then continue to make the food without who hung gloves. So nasty. Do you know how many germs are on phones/money? This thought definitely makes me think twice when coming here.

When hubby and I first stopped by this past Sunday, they were closed for the holiday weekend. Bummer! I didn’t want to cook Monday, so we came back. I’m so glad we did! We both had the Sloppy Bronx, mine with no Swiss and his with Havarti. So freaking good! I could have had a little more of the spicy sauce on mine(I like my sandwiches kinda wet) but still worth it. The sandwiches are so big, there’s no way you could eat it all in one sitting. The other menu items sound really tasty, so we will be back.

The hamburgers and fries are really good and idk if it’s just me but the hamburgers don’t fall apart like from jims or the other hamburgers from other restaurants that comes apart when you pick it up idk, I think that’s pretty cool And great customer service

I came to Central Avenue to get my lights fixed for my car, ask the workers what they recommend around the area and they said Bronx. So I go ahead and walk towards the location inside a liquor store and I walked up to the cash register and I was very warmly welcomed, it’s my first time here and they help me customize a Sandwich/Burger. I’m a personal fitness trainer and I watch what I eat all the time, luckily they have some really healthy options which is a big plus for me! As soon as I submitted my order I received it fairly quickly and to my surprise this has been the best sandwich burger I’ve had!

I found this place on Unilocal,as I work in the area and wanted to eat something different. The food is delicious. Amazing quality and made with care in a clean environment. But what keeps me coming back? The service. This is a family owned restaurant and I am treated with respect and great customer service. I recommend the Babe sandwich or Bomber Burger. But its all good! Lol

1– Incredibly greasy. Hot Pastrami on Rye is arguably one of the easiest sandwiches to make. Good quality meat, fresh bread, deli mustard… come on guys! Literally could ring out the bread with grease. Returned with refund. 2– Second sandwich, turkey club. Cashier girl forgot to tell the cooks to make it hot. They remade it, but again, grilled the turkey into a greasy mess. 3– 2pm on a Sunday, took 30 minutes to get the sandwiches, from the time we got in line until they first gave us the order. Another 5 for the redo and refund. Conclusion– if you like big greasy sandwiches that take to long to make, you’ll love Bronx!

This place has the best food in the area. Great price points and the meats are always fresh. My go to spot in the area. The manhatten fries and chicken bowl are the best iv had so far but i will be trying everything on the menu eventually. The babe sandwich is also amazing. Definitely the spot to eat at around here. Also fast and friendly service

Well I like to keep my reviews short and to the point. The service there was extremely friendly and welcoming the cashier knew the menu well. after ordering my burger I took a seat at the counter I watched as the chef prep my burger. It seemed that he took great care and pride in his work. So you ask yourself why only three stars? Mainly because A great burger starts with great meat. They used a store-bought frozen patty. I would have to say the burger was amazing I just couldn’t get over the texture and flavor of that Patty. If they started grinding their own meat in house or at least purchasing quality fresh beef and forming their patties their selves I would never leave this place.

We work in the fashion district. They came into the store just yesterday to leave their menu and today we ordered delivery. Deliver was quick. They said 20 min and it got delivered around that time. And ordering was a snap. But the food! It was delicious! I love my Tam’s don’t get me wrong. But this place rivals it. The burger was perfectly juicy with plenty of avocado and yummy bacon. Yumm bacon! Hope to order again soon. Real real soon. Thanks guys!
