What a nice guy. Very knowledgeable, patient, personable, and kind.
I came in, very upset, about what turned out to be a chipped bone in my elbow. He was very reassuring. You know how with some doctors, you feel like maybe you should get a second opinion? Well Dr. Itagaki is not one of those doctors.
While I was waiting for the x-​ray tech, he kept checking on me. He patiently listened to and responded to my questions and concerns. At my last appointment, he spent quite a while with me, showing me how to do stretching exercises on my own if I didn’t opt for physical therapy.
Also, his assistant/​nurse, June, is amazing. She was so sweet and patient with me when I broke down crying in frustration at my first appointment.
The front desk staff is very efficient and easy to deal with.
If only all doctors and doctor’s offices were so awesome.
parking is available under the building, for $ 2, cash only, with validation. it is a bit difficult to find. Listen when they tell you how to get there. The first time I went, I drove around in circles for a while because I hadn’t paid attention to their directions.

This guy is the best:
— he calmed me down when i was flipping out about my broken foot
— he made me a beautiful cast that never itched or hurt for the 6 wks I had it on
— when i asked annoying science questions he took out a book and explained things to me
— his assistants were really caring and lovely, as well as stern (they gave me the most restrictive casts and boots, which I thank them for in retrospect).
and of course, the best part — my foot healed perfectly, i’m running and jumping around again.

I had a great experience with the Doctor. He has a calm demeanor, knows his stuff and takes the time to explain your injury and the plan of action. Staff are friendly. I did not need to wait long to see the Doctor after my appointment time.
