Umm I bought a groupon for 3 refills and just came back to find out that they are gone :( Not fair, I paid $ 40 for it! Other than that it was good, but I prefer the Synergy Kombucha from Whole Foods…

I’ve been on this crazy kombucha kick lately, so when I discovered that there is a place in Grand Central Market that’s got it on tap, you know I had to try it out. Their kombucha tastes great, and you can buy bottles of the stuff, too. I always make sure to grab some along with my lunch whenever I’m at GCM!

I enjoy Better Booch Kombucha much more than any Kombucha at the market that I have tried. It tastes lighter than the ones you would try at the market; way less vinegar tasting(I feel like some are just overly fermented at the markets.) –Better Booch is not the case! My favorites are Morning Glory which is a peach tea, and Goodnight Rose being a rose tea. They are both very light, not overly fermented, and the flavors really do come across. The staff is very friendly and offer many samples. $ 5 kombucha on tap, $ 6 a bottle, or 2 bottles for $ 11.

With my recent onslaught of gastrointestinal problems I’ve been forced to look into incorporating new things into my diet, things that will help fortify my digestive system. So as of lately, kombucha has been one of those things. I dropped by Booch Bar Better Booch Kombucha Bar because it seems to be one of the few options for artisanally made kombucha. Plus it’s at the Grand Central Market, making for a good stop after a meal. I’m not that knowledgeable about the drink itself because I’ve just recently started consuming it. I have tried a few of the brand-name kombucha out there, GT’s, Reeds, and Health-Ade. It laments me to say this, but those three have tasted better than what I had here. I usually go with any ginger flavor, as I’ve become aware that ginger has anti-inflammatory properties and aids in healing gastrointestinal irritation. The taste of this particular flavor can be a little pungent but I’ve become accustomed to it, and I drink it because of the aforementioned health benefits. So I chose their Ginger Booster, and it fell a little flat for me. The taste was just not as pleasing as those that I’ve had before. Ultimately, it comes down to my personal taste so don’t take my word for it. I encourage everyone to give this place a try so that you may make your own assertions. After all, it is still considered a healthy drink and it wasn’t bad. It’s just that at $ 6 a bottle, I’d rather stick with what I prefer.

I gave this a try recently, but it was just not my favorite Kombucha. I tried the ginger variety and both the ginger flavour and the fermented«funk» that one normally associates with kombucha were diminished. It tasted more like juice than the kombucha I’m used to drinking. Also at $ 5 for a glass, it’s more expensive than the bottled ones at Whole Foods. No samples offered either when I asked, so I didn’t get to try the other flavours.

I love kombucha and I especially love Better Booch but at $ 5 a cup and $ 6 a bottle, I have to get my fix of it either at Whole Foods or Lassen’s where I can get it for cheaper and also don’t have to worry about parking and the Egg slut line. I was honestly so surprised that it was more expensive than in stores.

Touring around Grand Central, discovered the Better Booch stand. So glad I did. Never had kombucha that tasted so good. Tried a few samplings,(nice that they offer that). My hands down favorite was the rose tea flavor. Not overly sweet or floral, got the balance just right for a refreshing lightly bubbling drink. So much better than soda. I’m hooked, since that first trip I’ve been scouting out locations closer to work and home where I can find and guzzle down the better booch.

I make my own Kombucha, but every now and then I like to buy it from certain purveyors. Booch Bar makes kombucha that I don’t mind paying for. I love the on tap option and their flavor selection. Goodnight Rose Morning Glory Golden Pear Kombucha on tap $ 5. Bottled Kombucha $ 6.

I got the Morning glory, which is the peach kombucha. They offer the kombucha either on tap or bottled. I choose the bottled version since they’re a little on the colder side. The kombucha tastes good, but not as strong or fizzy than the other brands out there. Will definitely come back after eating our way around the market.

Tried this place while in line for Eggslut. Really helpful that you can try any of the flavors on tap. Ended up enjoying my sample so much that I bought a kombucha on tap. The Morning Glory Kombucha is light, refreshing, and aromatic without tasting too ferment-y. My favorite flavors are: 1) Morning Glory 2) Golden Pear 3) Goodnight Rose Didn’t think I was a kombucha person but after trying the Booch Kombucha Bar, I think I’ve changed my mind. The Kombucha Bar is a cute concept and their bottles are really cute. Will definitely be visiting the bar again for another drink next time I’m at Grand Central Market.

amazing drink! We were waiting in line and i suddenly got curious on what was kambucha… and more yet what was kambucha bar… in the past I have tried it at whole foods but i couldn’t get over the sour taste! this bar was amazing! You can sample all of them and it was simply delicious! Me and my best friend got the 1) original — daily revival which is a the perfect daily fix to keep you refreshed your body clean and focused 2) Good night rose: calming and a rose tint to the original daily revival Cup for $ 5, bottle for $ 6. But if you buy 2 bottles get a discount! So good me and my best friend came back the same day to get more, b/c it was just that delicious light… low calorie & apparently it aids in digestion!

I have to admit. I was not a fan of Kombucha before I tried it here. We were in line for Eggslut and they had samples of the Morning Glory on draft. It was a small cup so I decided to try it… Why not? UMMMM… Who knew that Kombucha could taste this delicious?! I get pretty excited about food and when I tried the Goodnight Rose, I think I was in euphoria. My friend and I quickly bought some on draft and a couple bottles to take with us back to Seattle to give to our Kombucha-loving friends and then we realized we can’t take it on the plane… :( Now the question is: do they ship to Seattle?

Kombucha makes many claims to health benefits and although none of them have any real medical backing, I’M ALLABOARDTHEKOMBUCHATRAIN. Yes, it’s fermented tea. Yes, it tastes exactly the way you’d expect fermented tea to taste like. And lastly, yes… it’s a little pricey. BUT before you completely write off Kombucha, I definitely recommend Booch Bar! The Kombucha tastes really fresh and I love all the unique flavors. It’s refreshing, thirst quenching, fizzy, and aromatic. My favorite is the Midnight Rose. The rose has a very subtle and delicate flavor. And I just love the packaging – the reusable medicine bottles are so cute! Friendly, helpful, and informative service. Don’t hesitate to try the free samples! DRINKCOLD&ENJOY!

Eh, i wanted to try out the new craze: Fermented tea Ordered: Rose It was alright; supposedly you’re supposed to drink the kombucha before consuming your meal for better digestion. I am not sure if I am a believer. Will pass – didn’t feel it was worth my $$

If it wasn’t for the long line at Eggslut, I probably would’ve never tried the kombucha at Better Booch. Props to the booch guy for sampling to the folks in line! Best way to market and build trial! woop woop. One sip of the Peach kombucha got me to buy 2 bottles, 1 Peach and 1 Rose. Both were refreshing, tasty and oh soooo good. The only other kombucha I drink is GT’s, so I was expecting to find a collection of yeast and bacteria floating inside, but Booch’s drinks are really clean and light which makes me wonder if the floaties make the drink more authentic/legit? I just know that I’ll definitely be back to grab more bottles. I believe they give you a credit for each bottle returned. But the bottles are too cute, so I may keep them!

Booch Bar by Better Booch is a Kombucha Tea Bar booth located inside the Grand Central Market in Downtown Los Angeles. Kombucha is a fermented drink of sweetened black tea that is used as a functional food. It is produced by fermenting the tea using a symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast, or «SCOBY». It is also an ancient remedy that has been consumed for thousands of years(dating back to China during the Tsin Dynasty.) It is also known for its reputation as the«Tea of Immortality». Better Booch states on their website that they use only the highest grade organic loose-leaf teas from a local supplier. Better Booch is also fermented in small batches to ensure consistency and quality in every sip. And unlike many of the options available on store shelves that are packed with tons of extra sugar, fermented artificially, or pasteurized, Better Booch contains no added sugar in the way of juices, purees, syrups or powders and the boldness of flavor comes simply from the tea itself. They also state that every batch of kombucha is different. The only things every batch contains are: –at least one beneficial yeast –acetobacter(the beneficial bacteria in the SCOBY) –gluconic acid(a pH regulator) –acetic acid(an anti-microbial acid, which also stabilizes blood sugar) And most batches of kombucha will also contain an analgesic(pain reliever), an anti-arthritic compound, an anti-spasmodic compound, a liver-protective compound, and several anti-bacterial compounds. The blend varies from batch to batch. The Kombucha Teas comes in 5 unique flavors: –Original Gangster –Apple Ginger Rogers –Fred Astaire Pear –Princess Peach –Goodnight Rose At the Booch Bar they also serve the Kombucha on tap for $ 4 for a cup and $ 5 for a bottle.(I was lucky and got 2 bottles for $ 9 deal that day.) I bought the one bottle of the Princess Peach and one of the Goodnight Rose. I drink was really refreshing on a hot day like yesterday and the interesting thing was that this Kombucha Tea was carbonated which tasted really light like a cool glass of champagne.(If you taste the Goodnight Rose it really did almost taste like a hint of champagne.) Pros: –The drink had live active probiotics (Good for your immune system.) –No suger added (Love this no extra calories to worry about and wow one of the few drinks that can still taste good with no sugar added.) –Locally made (Made in Los Angeles YAY support your community!) –100% real Kombucha Tea (No additives. Alot of times if you buy the Kombucha Tea at the grocery stores they are not 100%.) –The taste is amazing compared to other Kombucha brands. (Fresh & light. I don’t taste the apple vinegar taste like I do in the other brands =) Cons: –As soon as you open the bottle you have to drink the Kombucha within a 45 minutes to an hour time frame or else you it won’t taste as fresh and you can taste the vinegar taste in the beverage. –A bit costly $ 5 for a bottle =/ Overall, if you are a health nut(like me) or want to try a new detoxifying drink that might improve your health and well being you sure try this Kombucha drink at least once. Who knows you just might get hooked too.

One of the best tasting Kombucha teas, I have ever tasted. The rose and peach flavors are amazing and refreshing. $ 4.00 for a cup or $ 5.00 for the bottle, not bad at all. I bet the tea will go great with our Eggslut breakfast. Service was great. As soon as you walk up to the booth, you get greeted warmly and samples are offered, which is great for people like me who are quite indecisive. The tea itself taste like a refreshing soda and not gross and icky like other Kombucha teas I’ve tried in the past. It is quite refreshing and tasty. I might just make it a daily habit and buy loads of it at a time, since parking and lines can be a little bit in the heavy side. I will be definitely be back and stock up I the rose and peach flavors. They also offer ginger and another flavor, which I don’t remember at the moment. The rose flavor makes my taste buds happy.

Great service! Good drinks. They sell it on tap($ 4) or by the bottle($ 5). Suggest drinking it before you eat, for digestive purposes. Got to try all their flavors! I like the goodnight rose and the princess peach the best. Also if you bring the bottle back you get 50 cents back! Located in grand central market between eggslut and the pressed juice stand. I wish I could give it a 4.5 stars.
