Chris pierced my upper earlobes and was very knowledgeable and kind. I was very happy and satisfied but they had trouble healing so I went back for help. Jocelyn evaluated the cause and cure with complete expertise and aplomb. I felt better immediately and continued to improve dramatically over mere hours. I emphatically recommend, trust, and thank Jocelyn for her expertise and compassion.

I got a conch piercing this afternoon Moxie was SOOO GREAT!!! I haven’t gotten a piercing since I was ten and she totally talked me through it, laid out all my options, and was super calming when it came time for the big moment. The placement is *perfect* and I will definitely be seeing her again! Thanks Moxie!

This tattoo parlor is super clean and open, really great vibes. I got my septum pierced on a whim and just called ahead and it’s only 40 dollars and I also got the 5 dollars off with the Unilocal check in.
Honestly the easiest piercing experience I’ve ever had, and I’ve been to a lot of places in Chicago/​New York. My piercer was super friendly and chill and made me feel really comfortable.
Definitely check this place out for any piercings! Super affordable and great atmosphere.

Jocelyn did an orbital conch piercing on me yesterday. She explained the process very clearly, listened carefully to what I wanted with the placement, and did such a good job.
Getting a hoop in the conch area is tough because first the piercer has to use a needle to make the hole, then insert the hoop, and thennnn use pliers to close the hoop. I’m a huge baby about pain and this was less horrible than my last flu shot! Jocelyn talked me through the whole thing and made sure the hoop was straight. She was awesome! I highly recommend seeing her.
Also, the place was very clean, and everyone was nice. One of the guys who works there even had the same conch piercing I wanted and let me check his out.
Five stars, easily.

My friend and I were out at lunch and she brought up the idea of getting a tattoo. I was thinking about it for a while so when she told me about Body Art and Soul and how they have a tiny tattoo special I was immediately down to get one. As soon as we walked in the shop it didn’t look sketch at all it was very clean and welcoming. Since it would be my first tattoo I was extremely nervous, but the staff made me feel very comfortable. It was a very easy process.

I got an American traditional anchor tattoo done here and it was put on by a very talented artist that went by the name «moxey» she did a fine job on the tattoo. I would have no problem coming back here to get work do or to recommending someone to this parlor for ink. The price was very reasonable as I took advantage of a deal that was being offered. Clean shop and good work

I called close to closing time on a Friday night and asked if they would be able to see me– They catered to my last-​minute request and when I arrived, their piercer (Moxie) already had everything setup for me. Their prices were totally reasonable, they are very nice and most importantly, they are super patient. I can be kind of annoying and ask a bazillion questions, but they didn’t seemed phased by any of it. I will totally be back if I decide to get anything else pierced/​tattooed. I highly recommend.

Came in on a friday night right before closing. The guys (Dave and Martin) are the best! My gf and I had such a blast chatting with them and Dave did an amazing job on my tattoo. Highly recommend this place, I know ill be back :)

First & foremost, I am writing this review to commend Dave Smiley. Not only is he a true artist, with fine lines, meticulous shading and thoughtful suggestions, but he also makes getting a lifelong and personal tattoo, a lifelong and personal experience. His work is quality, & so is his character. He is enthusiastic & has enough patience to work with his customers visions — taking as much time as needed to make sure we’re confident that the art is whats wanted. Finding a tattoo artist like this is comforting and it is uncommon.
I have several tattoos and most of them are fantastic. However, I have often found that I’ve compromised character in my artist and the overall experience to receive the utmost talent. Meaning: I have chosen quality but dealt with artists who felt that they were doing me a huge favor. I’ve had to practically stand up to them, to make sure it was what I wanted. the more I changed it, the more annoying I was to them regardless of the 100s of dollars I spent.
Being the contrary, with both character AND talent makes Body Art & Soul Tattoo a force to be reckoned with. This is the place to go to find talented individuals who care about your tattoos as much as you do.

I went in with my friend the other night to take advantage of their February heart promotion, and instead walked out with something so much better!
Place was really clean, hardly a wait and the guys were really professional–
Line work quality is top notch, shading and dimensional quality truly fantastic! I’m healing right now and get plenty of compliments!
Definitely will be back

I just got my 3^rd tattoo here, TODAY, friday the 13^th for 13 dollars, and it was top notch. I got a small tattoo from DAVE who was v chill and also patient (bc I’m very particular and took a while deciding placement, etc). Didnt even know this shop was here bc it’s pretty new, but it was so easy going, SO well priced, and cleeeean. thanks guyzzzz!!!
