Fantastic, healthier thai food with great flavor and a great price.

For a couple of months, I have ordered from Bodhi Thai three to four times a week. It’s convenient because they deliver to both my home and office. That all changed today. It took longer than normal to get my lunch, so I had to leave the office. My assistant was there to get the order, so not that big of a deal. Although, when I exited the parking garage, I noticed two messages, the first was left at 2:55. The second was left at 2:56, I called him back as soon as I exited the garage, the time was 2:59. This time he SCREAMED at me on the phone. It took me awhile to figure out what was going on, because, well, he was screaming at me. Apparently, he could not find parking on Wilshire and rather than call me a few minutes before, or give me a chance to call back, he kept saying«pick up your phone, pick up your phone!» I tried to explain to him that I was in a parking garage and called him back as soon as I could. I will say, he was yelling so much that I did have to shout to get a work. He did find a way to get into the building and not only was he just as rude to the receptionist, but to my assistant as well. I then called the restaurant and told the lady who answered I wanted to make a complaint about the driver. She yelled too. I called back when out of my meeting to speak with the manager and the driver answered the phone. Again, he went to yelling. Finally, when the driver comes to our house, he calls from his car and we have to go to the curb to pick it up. Not a big deal, but jeez, this guy needs to be fired and they need to start treating their customers as though their business is important. After reading some of the MANY one and two star reviews, I see that the employees screaming at customers is not uncommon at all. I’ve also found out they use MSG! Never, ever again!!!

The food is so delicious, you just have to be patient… they are very busy! The pumpkin curry is out of this world!(I order it with just the veggies & chunks of yummy pumpkin. Also, the soy orange chicken is great, but very sweet! My dad is blind, so he thought the soy was real chicken fingers. I wish the portions were a little bigger though. I got the food to go, so I would have liked them filled up fuller for the price. They have some of the best brown rice, in taste & texture. Oh! And their sweet-potato fries are tasty :) Nina is very nice, and they need more people like her to serve people. Over all, I would say you should really try this place! FYI: Probably not on a Sunday night, because customers are really going through withdrawals after the Friday & Saturday nights that they are closed. It is crowded as well as a long wait for take-out or delivery on Sunday nights. Wednesday was ok.

Good food but the worst and most ridiculous service. One waitress rolled her eyes at us, asked me if I wanted an extra bowl but never brought it, and overall gave us attitude. Then, she brought my husbands dish something like 20 minutes before mine. I also overheard the other waitress saying to the table next to us(who were seemingly there for the first time) «you guys always ask that I don’t understand why you think that.» Whose you guys? Jews?

Nina, our waitress, at Bodhi tonight was AMAZING. I had unfortunately forgotten my purse and she came to the rescue. She ran after to get my attention and give it back to me. Such a great person!!! On another note, the food was GREAT. 3 friends of mine hadn’t ever been to Kosher Thai before and LOVED it. All around a great evening, even with the unfortunate mishap!

Me and my friends were a bit reluctant trying this place out since we are hard core meat lovers but we were very impressed. The food was VERY fresh, tasty, and full of flavor. We ordered the fresh rolls, tom yum soup, and pepper steak. Everything tasted amazing. Best part is after you leave this place you don’t feel gross because the food isn’t too heavy and its not greasy. Highly recommend this place. Very good healthy and flavorful spot. This place proved to me that you do not have to sacrifice flavor for healthy.

The pumpkin curry is amazing here! I always get it with mixed vegetables only and it is a delicious dish. You have to try it! I am not a huge fan of the appetizers that I have tried here, which is why I’m giving 4 stars. But, the curries are amazing and you should definitely try the red curry, especially the pumpkin curry. The service is great as well, very friendly people! I come here a lot and the food is always consistently good with friendly service.

The service was really good and the atmosphere is nice but I was not impressed with the food and it’s not sitting well. If you are strictly kosher it’s ok I guess, if you are vegan the fake beef was good, but if you’re a vegetarian that will eat anywhere there are much better Thai restaurants.

Wow, this restaurant puts MSG in there food. Had dinner there with my daughter started eating the food and began to feel sick. Asked the waitress if they used MSG and she started to double talk me, when I told her it made me sick she said they did put it in the food. Was sick all night. Place feels so dirty. Won’t ever recommend this place.

I love this restaurant! I come here at least once a week. Their pad Thai is the best I’ve ever had. I also love coming here and ordering the fresh young coconut with my food. The atmosphere and setting of the restaurant is welcoming. This place deserves five stars

Run. Run away while you can. When I absolutely have to come here because a friend will insist.(normally because they’ve never been) it’s the only way to get me here. On my most recent visit it took 30 minutes to have a waitress get us water. Then we waited on soup, really simple. Mine was fine, however my friends had dirty mushrooms!!! Making all of the soup dirty. We told the waitress she walked away. They finally helped us, but that was another 30 mins. Then when asked about the owner they just told us he wasn’t in the country. We kept asking for a contact, and they finally gave us an email. Most my visits here have been to this quality. They need more servers, and someone cleaning the veggies better.

Spicy noodle was sweet and it was advertised healthy on the menu. Won’t go back. Price is reasonable. Service is fine but nothing is special.

After reviewing some of the latest Unilocal review, I was unsure if I wanted to give this place a chance, but I guess not everyone’s experience are identical so I decided to take my chances. The parking lot was too small and there was no more space, but I was able to find a meter parking on the street. I was greeted by the one and only staff that was working during the lunch hour. This place is pretty small so it’s probably not the best to bring a large group of people. Their menu had many choices and it was simple to understand. I ordered green curry with fake chicken. Honestly, green curry was delicious. I could have had without the fake chicken though and the waitress was friendly. I would definitely come back to try some of other dishes on the menu.

This Thai place had been calling to me for a long time before I finally had the chance to try it. Unfortunately, it is closed on Friday evenings and Saturdays and that is typically when we eat out. This can never be a five star experience for me since it is not always open for my cravings(I do understand they are closed for religious reasons but I’m just being selfish). I just have to remember to hit them up during the week! I love Thai appetizers — the fried spring rolls are delicious and so are the dumplings. Potato samosas — yes, please. I could probably make a meal out of them. I’ve tried the Pad Thai with tofu and also the spicy green beans with Tofu — both really good. And I didn’t even miss the egg in the Pad Thai. And the a la carte items actually come with a side of brown rice at no-charge. It really bugs me when you have to pay for rice on the side! The noodles kind of stick together when you get them takeout — but it didn’t really bother me. However, I find that most of the time food is better when you dine-in anyway. Bodhi has an impressive selection of faux meat but I’m just not into them. I am a lover of tofu so I just stick with that. I’d love to try some different dishes there and check them out at lunch time!
