Parking is hit or miss(street parking). We got there around 10a and got 1 Berundi, 1 Bella Donavan, and 2 poached eggs on toast. The hand drips were amazing, and we liked the Berundi most. Eggs were poached to perfection on top of sourdough by far one of the best meals we’ve had in LA. Service was quick, and the coffee shop vibe is one where people seem to be able to get a lot of work done in. It’s definitely a place I’d go to again! We also purchased beans to-go, and they gave us souvenir pins

this is the first blue bottle coffee i’ve been to in socal, yay! i had no idea they had one in echo park and was super excited to go in. interior is really cute and modern. i could totally see myself hunkering down to study in this well-lit establishment. i ordered the cold brew new orleans and was quite pleased with my order. nothing stands out as it was a quick in and out transaction. place was clean, coffee was good, parking on the street.

I just spent a week in la and every morning started here for a macchiato to wake me up enough to walk to intelligentsia for a second one. Looking for apartments in the area now, pretty sure I’ve found my life’s purpose.

Walking down Sunset Blvd. from Silverlake to Echo Park? Nearly every other storefront appears to be a coffee shop. There’s no problem with that, considering they are nearly on par with Blue Bottle; one of my favorites. What separates Blue Bottle from the other shops, includes their beautiful bright space; perfect for doing what you do at a coffee shop while drinking coffee: people watch, work, pretend to work, read, write a screen play, snapchat, Unilocal(of course) or mingle.

love bb! They have an immaculate décor… Clean and clutter free. They are also masters at the craft of coffee production. This is my preferred stop when in LA. Highly recommended!!!

Fell in love with this place when I first encountered it on a trip to San Francisco a couple years ago. That love only grew and expanded when Blue Bottle came to LA! This location in particular is BEAUTIFUL! Plenty of seating, great ambiance, top-notch service and knowledgeable staff make this place my true favorite coffee shop in LA. Coffee and espressos are smooth and rich in flavor. However, my absolute favorite drink at Blue Bottle is their green tea. It’s a cup of straight up GREENMAGIC! A combination of matcha and other green tea leaves that gives it a rich emerald green color and the perfect blend of roasty brown rice and bright grassy flavors. Totally worth the money! Don’t listen to the hater who was ranting about how this place is pretentious because they don’t have outlets or wifi. Honestly, it’s a breath of fresh air to be able to come to a coffee shop that isn’t filled with people on their computers or devices clacking away their lives. How about sitting down and enjoying a book or carrying on a real conversation with a friend over some good coffee and tea? If you want wifi and outlets, stay home or go to Starbucks! Also, she clearly doesn’t know the difference between coffee and espresso(or as she called it, «thimble-sized coffee»). Obviously, someone needs to GETOVERTHEMSELVES!

So I was walking from Intelligentsia to Woodcat thinking«where the FUCK am I going to get a cup of coffee on the way?» Blue Bottle to the rescue! Welcome, middle-aged dyspeptic guy! Hope you’re ready to have your mind blown! From the website: «LA’s East Side has called to us for years.» Ok, so why not open a coffee shop there?

I wasn’t so sure about blue bottle but they won me over! The staff is very friendly(surprising for a coffee shop) and the coffee is so good! The prices are definitely a little more then I want to pay but it’s a nice place to hang out. I have weekly hang outs and lunch meetings here almost every week! About the WIFI: I get no wifi sucks BUT it sucks to go into a coffee shop and realize no seats are left because every and their mother is working like it’s their home office. People get over it. I work from home and that’s were I work, at home not at a coffee shop. If you feel like you can’t work from home rent a co working space or better yet walk two blocks down to echo park lake. They have free wifi and you can work outside in a nice setting.

I think I just found myself a new favorite coffee spot nearby me. Every time I was up North in the Bay Area, I would stop at Blue Bottle. Found the Oakland warehouse location couple years ago exploring the neighborhood on foot and fell in love with its vibe and New Orleans drip– perfect smooth roasted flavor with just the right balance of milk(not too much). I drove through Echo park this week reminiscing about old times spent there and discovered this newer looking building façade– which to my luck was a BLUEBOTTLE. Absolutely had to stop in! The space is beautiful! Wide with ample seating and well lit from the windows. Spacious coffee counter and same great friendly baristas like Its originals up North. This location is far better than the Downtown La location near Santa Fe/Mateo. Have a signature New Orleans cold brew and a waffle when you’re there. The waffle is amazing!

I left my heart in San Francisco. Blue Bottle always stirs up found memories for me as the first time I tried their coffee was at the Ferry Building Marketplace in San Francisco. They also have the same Liège waffles that are served up warm and toasty here! I feel like I could eat 10 of these in one sitting. The New Orleans is a great iced coffee with milk and sugar. It is the perfect blend of beautifully roasted coffee and milk with just a hint of sweetness.

I’ve been here once now and probably don’t need to ever go back. Overpriced coffee served in glorified thimbles, at chic yet uncomfortable furniture, in a minimally-designed space that offers no outlets or Wi-Fi. Get. Over. Your. Self. What has café culture become? All I see is a precious aesthetic designed to appeal to the overly-curated lives of the so-called creative class. Wither the substance? A pox on this third wave. The only good thing I can say is that the beans are fairly priced and the music was good.

I came here for the Iced New Orleans coffee, boy was that a good choice! The New Orleans iced coffee is cold-brewed for 12 hours with roasted chicory and sweetened with organic cane sugar — you might need to add a little extra simple syrup & milk. There’s a ton of tables for studying or if you wanted to get together with a group of friends here. Parking: There’s street parking in the front There’s also a parking lot in the back($ 0.25÷30 minutes or $ 2.50/all day). Parking is free on Sunday’s!

Another Southern California Blue Bottle location that holds true to their great coffee! //LOCATION //Echo Park a block away from Masa of Echo Park. //SERVICE //Incredibly friendly and fast. //FOOD // + Latte: So even and smooth. Love that they have fat free milk as an option as most places only 2% at best. *tip: All cups, lids, and straws are 100% compostable. Great coffee while not hurting the planet

Echo Park has gained a gorgeous coffee bar that actually offers substance in addition to minimalistic style. Blue Bottle’s expansion into LA market was kicked off by their acquisition of Handsome Coffee Roasters. Acquiring a turnkey operation was vital to establish immediate presence in a robust LA market for the San Francisco based Blue Bottle, however, I believe the greatest asset in this deal was retaining Handsome Coffee Partner and former World Barista Champ, Mike Phillips as Director of Training… and of course, Handsome’s flagship espresso, Dandy. I have a confession. Most trips to Handsome were just okay… except when Mike Phillips was slinging spro. Mike’s spro was always perfect. Ah, the memories of sipping Mike’s spro and noshing on Guerrilla Tacos. Those were the days. But I digress. Blue Bottle isn’t exactly a place I would go out of my way to get my caffeine fix on but if I just so happen to be in the area(say, grabbing lunch at Sage Organic Vegan) and need to satisfy my spro craving, I will have to say that Blue Bottle Echo Park more than suffices. This space is clean and warm. Gorgeous and as stated at the onset, minimalistic. Baristas are humble and kind. And their attention to crafting delicious espresso is exceptional. Espresso«Dandy»: 4.75÷5 Regrettably, I didn’t get the name of the gal slinging spro during my visit but I did compliment her on how her shot was reminiscent of pulls by the great Mike Phillips. If you don’t understand the magnitude of this compliment, I suggest you familiarize yourself with World Coffee Events. This near flawless spro possessed incredible body and sweetness. Needless to say I was a happy camper. The million dollar question is, will I be back? Eventually. Chances are I will have already gone 2 – 3 rounds of espresso at G&B, in which case, I will have already met my espresso quota for the morning. Keep up the great work guys.

This is coffee AMORE!, coffee love… I’ve found my new favorite spot. Honestly? At first impression, BlueBottle coffeehouse feels like, ‘Oh-no!-another-place-to-bring-your– MacbookPro-and-be-seen-with-good-design-yet-sucky-coffee.” I was more than wrong. The coffees, I’ve had– two cappuccini, a few espressi and a hand pour… every cup was solidly made coffee, acid aftertaste diminished to a coffee cream. Coffee is smooth the way a good espresso or cap in Italia. 2die4. Authentically good coffee unlike Starbucks or Dunkin. The baristas here take good care that your cup is put together to BBC standard. Solid coffee. Coffee Love… coming back. Visits: handful Tip: Patience and a wait brings you probably the perfect cup of coffee in El-Lay. They carry my fave(the best haha!) fizzy water, San Benedetto here. Beware No power plugs– don’t overstay.

Way more seating than the Arts District location, plus they’ve got some cool bleacher seating in the back if you don’t want to sit at any of the tables. There’s a bench outside, but otherwise this is not the place to bring your four-legged friend. A sign in the front reads that dogs are not allowed inside(allegedly) but we saw a guy walk in with his big dog and no one said anything. Anyhow, this location offers real food! My friend and I shared the LIEGEWAFEL(that’s how it’s spelled on their menu), the TOAST with RICOTTAANDAPRICOTJAM and the TOAST with POACHEDEGGS. I liked the wafel the most. It was crunchy and slightly sweet. The brioche toast with poached eggs was my second favorite. The other toast was good too, but I prefer savory over sweet any day. The NEWORLEANS cold brew was excellent as always.

Great place! This location is bigger than the Weho one is plenty of sitting! The layout is very nice with a quiet atmosphere. The New Orleans coffee is bomb, they also serve pastries and the toasts are delicious!

What an awesome place! I love the barista island idea where there is seats all around with tables! I love the«bleachers» feel seats(2-steps) where you can just hang out and not need a table. As you walk in it seems like there’s not much seating options but there actually is! Just keep walking around to the back. I was lucky enough to be a guest of my friend who was invited to the soft-opening. I met some of the staff and they were super friendly. Here’s what I had: NEWORLEANS(Cold Brew) — $ 4 Milk, Cane Sugar, Roasted Chicory This simple drink served in perfect ice cubes had a very subtle sweet taste. I think it cancelled out the bittery taste coffee usually has. I enjoyed this very much. If you’re someone who’s not a common coffee drinker and not big on sweets, this would be the drink for you! I was lucky to find street metered parking right out front($ 1/hr). The area is a bit sketchy but its not bad really… lots of people around with a Farmer’s Market around the corner. Thanks Blue Botttle for a lovely café experience! I felt fancy…

Soft opening today: Friends & Family :) Thanks Alicia(Cho Photography) for the invite! Must orders Cold Brew: New Orleans(milk, came sugar, smoked chicory) $ 4 This is probably their most famous beverage and definitely easy to drink 1 or 2… Or 3 or 4. He he! Gibraltar(4.5 ounces total: equal parts espresso and milk, more or less ;) this is an off menu item recommended by one of Blue Bottle’s best, Alicia. Perfect way to jump start my early mornings. Liege Waffle $ 4.5 This was super yummy! And the prefect mate to my Gibraltar(: my taste buds are so happy right now! Definitely get this to drunk in your latte, mocha, or any hot drink! Customer Service It may be just my luck but everyone here is very friendly and I love that they’re happy! It’s the best thing when you walk in for a «pick me up» and the baristas have that positive energy to add to your quad shot small latte(or whatever you’re drinking today lol) Parking Ample parking in front at the meters for 15 minutes to pick up and go! There’s also street parking on the side streets. No issue parking here in the morning but night, I’m not too sure since this is a happening area. House espresso: Hayes Valley
