Like the rest of LA, I’m a hardcore coffee addict ANDPROUD. It’s hard to choose which shop to go to with so many other shops in the area but Blue Bottle is my usual go-to. They have a New Orleans iced coffee that comes all ready with sugar and milk leveled to perfection. It’s the perfect afternoon pick-me-up for a warm LA day. I love that you can also see how they make your drink behind the counter because their whole kitchen is visible. Good location, great drinks, and enough seating!

The location is nice and chill tucked between the outskirts of the buzzing streets of dtla. The best part is that it is one of the few if not the only place that has their own parking. Anywho I am not a big fan of the coffee here because they only carry the African blend. The hot chocolate here is the BEST one in the dtla area. The New Orleans is also pretty good tbh although I am not a iced latte guy. The people here are also very nice and are not pretentious… they are there for customer satisfaction The place itself is calm and very aesthetically pleasing in my opinion

The café latter is great and pure here. I like the picture made on the top of coffee. The waffle here only offer on weekends before 3PM.

I love the coffee here, they’re always nice and strong. It is relatively more expensive than other coffee shops for their small cup of coffee but in my opinion it’s worth it! Also love the vibe in the store!

New Orleans coffee in a milk bottle was delish! The staff is very friendly. Coming from Texas it was refreshing. The cookies were not too tasty though it may have been an off day. It had a bleach taste. Customers were all reading scripts it was an interesting environment.

Definitely like the hipster vibe from this place. I wouldn’t mind coming here to study or do some work, although there aren’t many seating areas. I didn’t know this place was a well known coffee shop to begin with until one of my friends told me. I’m not your biggest cup of joe person– more tea– but I do drink it from time to time for the taste. After church me, my boyfriend, and his friend who lives nearby decided to get some coffee. His friend is a regular here and always gets the pre-made coffee that comes in cute milk cartons. And my boyfriend just ordered iced coffee. I drank some of his– it was a bit too strong for me. I was tempted to just buy one of their coffee products just because it came in a Mason Jar. I love Mason Jars! :) But I decided not to. They also have pastries! And those always go well with coffee! Over all– I dig the vibe. Parking is street parking. Good luck trying to find parking… It was hard.

Con: Parking freaking sucks during peak hours. I usually grab coffee before work or during lunch, and I can almost NEVER find parking(*cries at the thought of not being able to get coffee*) Pro: Blue Bottle Coffee is so… REAL. I don’t know how else to describe it, and I say this because… a cold brew of Blue Bottle Coffee will get me THROUGHTHEENTIREDAY with no problem. And that takes ALOT for me.(I can drink 3 cups of keurig k-cups and still fall asleep at work) Blue Bottle Coffee is one of the only coffees that actually taste like real coffee and feels like real coffee that does its job for me.

This coffee bar is hidden in an art district in DTLA. I haven’t been drinking coffee for quite awhile, so let me give it a try. Parking: there’s not much parking spaces around if you cannot park your car in their limited parking lots. You have to look for one. Coffee: I saw this coffee bar on one of those TV program, I kinda know how they choose their coffee beans to their own unique process. I had the New Orleans cold brew coffee, it’s not bad. At least not too sweet like others. The smells of the coffee was good, the only thing not as good is their cups are smaller than others, and a cup is $ 4.45, they charged $ 1 if you ask for almond milk. Environment: coffee bars with high chair, it’s clean. People were sitting with their laptops.

Thank you sweet baby Jesus, blue bottle is finally down here in SoCal. Blue bottle is a fine addition to the other coffee shops such as Philz coffee. My go-to is their cappuccino. The road is very smooth creamy, and the baristas is really do a good job with the brew. My friends into really like the ice coffee with the almond milk. Parking can be a little tricky but I’ve always been able to find street parking adjacent to the store.

I am not the biggest coffee drinker, but boy oh boy, is the New Orleans smooth. Typical coffee house prices, at around $ 4/cup. I always need to add more sugar because I just need it. The bitterness of true coffee does not jive well with me, sadly. The location of this Blue Bottle is small, not really the place I would consider doing work at. Reading a book, maybe, but working on a laptop is out of the question because there is no wifi. There’s a bike rack outside!

Great coffee! Had the cold brew since a lot of Unilocalers say its good. It’s strong so you must be a real coffee drinker to enjoy it. Need to come back and try a hot latte.

This place is quaint, clean, and relaxing. The location has a lot of parking and the baristas are all very knowledgable and helpful. I was looking to get a cold brew to take home with no sweetener and the barista offered to give me a take home cup with no ice that would keep for a few days. I appreciated that she did not try to sell me on the prepackaged cold brew and did her best to give me what I wanted(I did not ending up getting the cold brew). Both my boyfriend and I got cappuccinos and they were amazing. The cappuccinos were smooth, flavorful, and well balanced. I bought a bag of the expresso beans and it was around the same price as a bag of coffee from Stumptown or Intelligensia. I look forward to coming back!

I’m usually very particular about my coffee, but I wanted to just go for it at Blue Bottle and got myself a carton of the New Orleans cold brew. Best cold brew I’ve ever had! Enough said. I didn’t have to add anything to it; I love it just the way it is. Blue Bottle is a quaint little space and looks good for doing some work. It was kinda packed when I stopped by, so my friends and I ended up sitting outside on some benches. It was a beautiful day in LA so I didn’t mind whatsoever. Great spot for coffee and hanging out!

This place had good coffee. I had an espresso. It wasn’t burnt, it had good flavour, it tasted ok. I can’t really complain anything about the experience. I enjoyed it. If I were working here again, I would go back.

Best cold brew ever. The first time I had a taste of cold brew was in NY and I’ve been looking for a good place in LA ever since. The search is over. Parking gets challenging as this is in the Arts District and there is a bar across the street with an equally healthy number of clientele. No matter because their coffee is worth the hassle of finding a spot.

Came here early morning and it wasn’t as busy as when I had tried it first in SF. The location atmosphere looks the same, very industrial and they also host the coffee classes here as well. There were two staff and one of the newer staff didn’t charge my correctly and didn’t use my gift card correctly, that was kind of annoying because I was trying to use it up but instead left with $ 3 and paid the $ 3 on my credit card… why? Otherwise the coffee i great, I always get the New Orleans which is incredibly smooth. I love the major kick that subtly hits you afterward slowly. It’s not a harsh slam of caffeine that I am used to. My only gripe with this place is that the dessert and bakery items were very basic. Seriously, nothing interesting or impressive. I was just spoiled in SF haha.

Hello~ it’s me. Back at another coffee shop! YAYAY, Blue Bottle Coffee is all over LA now. No need go all the way to SF to drink it. After a yummy meal at Zinc Café with my girlfriends, we walked over to Blue Bottle Coffee. It’s literally right across the street… so don’t buy coffee at Zinc and just drink Blue Bottle afterwards. The store is pretty small but it’s very cozy. The baristas were welcoming and friendly! My friends ordered hot café lattes and I got their drip coffee. Both of them were really good… I loved how the drip coffee wasn’t piping hot like Starbucks. It was the perfect temperature which all drip coffee should be like. Btw, they sell their coffee beans, cups, and some other cool stuff! They aren’t the cheapest but I guess if you’re into those things… THEYGOTEM’!!! Overall, another #basic coffee shop in DTLA. Definitely not a place to study but just a good place to to-go coffee or chit chat with some buddies!

Legit place for good coffee in the Arts District. It has a simple design, great location and open area seating. It is difficult to find street parking. I ordered the cappucino for here and cold brew ice coffee to go. The cappucino comes with that standard heart design. It was strong and good quality. The cold brew was standard. I liked that almond milk is an option for those who are watching their fat content or lactose intolerant! Pastries and other dessert items are sold here. They sell a lot of overpriced items: a blue bottle keepcup for $ 35 and a weekender travel kit for $ 179?! Not worth it!

I’ve always wanted to try their coffee and decided to go on a little self-date to reward myself for finishing off finals. I ordered a latte because the weather was pretty chilly. The latte was much yum. The coffee was really smooth… probably one of the smoothest coffees I’ve ever had so two thumbs up for awesome smoothness! :D Lol… ANYWAYS, on to the technicalities: small parking lot right behind the café, no wifi, pretty good lighting, uncomfortable seating if you have short legs(aka me… standing at 5’2). Oh and since it’s dtla, they have street art on the pavements, walls, etc. But overall great if you just want to chat with a friend, read a book/other non-internet-requiring activities, or if you want a pretty solid coffee on-the-go.

This coffee shop is set up to be a quick stop for a grab-and-go. They got pastries and all sorts of coffee including their well known New Orleans iced coffee in a carton. I usually drink my coffee black, but I thought it might be worth giving the New Orleans a shot. It had a unique and refreshing taste but I’ll most likely stick to the single origin or iced coffee — I like my caffeine straight and to-the-point. Blue Bottle keeps their products delicious and fresh and it’s definitely worth a splurge, though not an everyday indulgence for me. The line moves at a good pace and their baristas are friendly. Open everyday from 7 – 6. Parking can be done on the street.

Another Bay Area coffee shop to make their way down to SoCal. Since both the wife and I had not tried their coffee, we decided to come here after eating lunch in DTLA. As others have mentioned, parking can be a total PITA!!! We were lucky seeing how it was a weekday and the fact that it was close to 2 when we came. Ordered their Origins iced coffee seeing how damn hot it was and though it wasn’t the best iced coffee I’ve had it was decent. Wife ordered the New Orleans and thought that was better than what I had. Not a bad coffee shop to swing by if ever in the area but I won’t go out of my way just to get a cup of joe here.

My goodness, I didn’t realize Los Angeles coffee invasion has already begun. First is Intelligentsia Coffee(Chicago, invaded three different LA locations in 2007, 2009, and 2010) … next is Blue Bottle Coffee(San Francisco, invaded four different LA locations in 2009, 2014, and 2015) … follow by Stumptown Coffee(Portland — invaded LA in Sept 2013) … and finally Philz Coffee(San Francisco — invaded Santa Monica in July 2014 and downtown LA in August 2015). Now LA just need few more coffee shops from the east coast and the south to complete the entire U.S. coffee collection. There’s a tiny designated parking lot right behind the coffee shop, but parking can be a hassle here. Unlike Stumptown Coffee, Blue Bottle Coffee has no WiFi with no available outdoor seating. Menu — Expect your typical coffee selection(macchiato, cappuccino, latte, mocha, etc) + cold brew coffee(New Orleans or Single Origin). *** Cold Brew New Orleans(milk, roasted chicory, cane sugar — $ 4): Amazing, fairly milky drink with absolutely no acidic aftertaste. If I actually live or work near this area, I would get this drink everyday. *** A great place to hang out, but not exactly an ideal place to study due to uncomfortable bar seats; nevertheless, its New Orleans cold brew coffee is absolutely a must-try.

Blue Bottle looked like it popped out of tumblr and made a permanent residence around the corner of Mateo St. Super chic and hipster. Originating from Turkey, Blue Bottle has come along way with their coffee and roasting techniques! They roast in-store behind the counter! Having the opportunity to take a look at the texture of their fine and course grinds, I can say that most will not be disappointed! I ordered a New Orleans from the menu above. Before any Blue Bottle die-hard fans come after me with pitchforks, I have to say that I would have significantly enjoyed their drip more than the New Orleans. My New Orleans was severely watered down with ice(cutely shaped perfect cubes) and not enough coffee. I believe that Blue Bottle has better selections than the New Orleans which I definitely would enjoy more. During my next visit, I will definitely give the other selections a go!

BLUEBOTTLEOPENEDINSOCAL!!! This coffee was my favorite in San Francisco. Can you imagine the disappointment when I moved to Socal and there was no blue bottle?(Which is ok because it lead me on many coffee adventures) When I found out they opened one, I had to stop by. Their location is in the heart of LA Art district. Lots of wonderful restaurants nearby. Parking can be a hassle, but they do have their own parking lot in the back of the shop. be careful because it is a bit tight back there. The shop is bright, clean, simple, spacious, with plenty of seating. The staff is friendly. They even offered samples before I decided which coffee to take. New Orleans is my current cold brew favorite. :) Overall, it’s great!

Blue Bottle Coffee is huge in SF so I was excited to try. Located across from Zinc Café and Market, they have a few parking space behind but we found street parking. Usually I like to order a hot drink but with it being 98 degrees I decided to try the cold brew New Orleans. Although it said it had cane sugar I did not think it was too sweet which is perfect for me. I love how the coffee taste lingers in my mouth. It was smooth going down. I was a little disappointed because I have tried blue bottle coffee ice cream before so I was expecting that flavor. This was still good but it did not impress me as I had hoped. Their coffee is very similar to Intelligentsia. This place is spacious with many patrons hanging out. Staff is very friendly.

Blue Bottle Coffee in DTLA? Woo hoo! I first had Blue Bottle coffee in SF at the Ferry building. I literally waited 45 minutes in a stupid long line for a New Orleans iced coffee. While the coffee was definitely delicious, I’m not sure that it was worth the wait. Thankfully, I didn’t have to wait long for my New Orleans iced coffee in the DTLA location! In fact it only took 5 minutes. And the best part, it was as yummy as I remember! The coffee is smooth, creamy, and not too sweet. The coffee craze has definitely landed full force in DTLA! It’s great having so many good options to fuel my caffeine addiction.
