Best birria I’ve ever had! My parents have been coming here since they were dating. Same owners whom are always friendly. Fair price. Only con is that it’s always full on weekends and doesn’t have much room to sit.

at $ 10 for a large menudo, prices are steeper than other locations. don’t let the exterior fool you, this place is pretty awesome. only 4 tables inside but the menudo I ordered was good and delicious… $ 10 though. not sure if I’ll be coming back

Awesome birria… best I’ve ever had in the LA area. Tiny restaurant with only 4 tables. Don’t make the same mistake we did and come here without cash!!! Had to wait for my buddy to go find an ATM so we could pay. Small plate of birria is $ 11.50 and large is only a dollar more. We went for the large plate and there was plenty of meat. Friendly staff and good service. Will probably be back to try the menudo on the weekend.

I live in Whittier and whenever I’m craving Birria or menudo, this is the place I go to. I don’t mind the drive at all because I know this place is the best I can get! The menudo does not have hominy which I love! It’s authentic Guadalajara menudo! Where I’m from, hominy is only used for pozole, not menudo. The Birria is delicious! You’ll definitely will want to come back! The owner is super friendly and makes you feel very welcomed!

My dad use to bring us to eat birria here when I was little. over 30 years ago I’ve been looking for this place for years wondering if they were still around. I found it today on Unilocal and I hand to make the drive. it’s just like I remembered it bomb I just wished my parents and sisters could have made it just like the old days. todo estaba delicioso the only thing missing tortillitas hechas a mano.

The best birria on the LA metro area by far. Their servings are great, most tender meat cooked to perfection. The soup is perfectly balanced. Location is like a traditional birrieria u would find in Tlatepaque, which is the style they serve here, small intimate n homey.

We were looking for authentic Mexican menudo what we got was a gross tripe and colored water plate. The chunks of tripes were huge, no flavor in the soup and there wasn’t any hominy in it!!! We paid $ 50 for our family to leave the plates untouched! I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Plus, we tried the birria and was also bad. I had to go grab something eel to eat to get the flavor out and wear perfume to get rid of the smell. Never again!!!

I have tried birria from its Original source, Guadalajara, but have not tasted anything better that Birrieria Baldomero’s. Birria is served all day long but if you like Menudo you have to show up early in the morning, you can bring your own pot if you want to eat it later. The menudo is clean and you can ask for the specific kind that you like, the menudo is eaten in many cultures and I have tried many styles but this one is the best. The place is small and can sit only about 10 people so if you get lucky you will be seated quickly, look for a tiny orange building on 32 and Maple in downtown Los Angeles.

This place is awesome! My father-in-law introduced this birrieria to us 5 years ago, and we’ve been loyal customers ever since. I’m not a fan of menudo, but my husband loves it… authentic because they don’t put hominy in it. We both LOVE the birria. I always order«pura maciza» which is pure meat no bones. It is served like a caldo(soup) which I love. They have plenty of onion, ripe limes, chile, tortillas, and toothpicks. The service is top notch, very friendly. They are quick but they don’t rush you. Which is nice considering they only have 4 tables, and on the weekends usually have some people waiting outside to be seated. They also offer a variety of soft drinks including Jarritos and Sangria Senorial. They are also kid friendly. They have two high chairs, and will bring your little one«puro caldo»(just soup, no meat) or chivo meat tacos. We frequent here about once or twice a month… can’t wait to go back for our fix!

Los Angeles’ hidden gem for really good menudo. If I’m the second to rate on Unilocal and I haven’t been here in years, then it’s really hidden! Like Guillermo, I’ve been to many places and I think Birrieria Baldomero has it down to a tee. It’s the best menudo I’ve had in Los Angeles. The address on the online yellow pages is 3104 Maple Ave, but I know it’s on 32nd St and Maple Ave. It’s a birrieria but the funny thing is that they are known for their menudo. The location is far from being like Westwood but you know it’s good if the place is packed with hispanics. For those who don’t like hominy in their menudo, this is the place for you. I take my order to go… I bring my large pot and order $ 20 worth. I order their surtido(assorted mix), which includes patas de cerdo, or pigs’ feet, pig stomach, and nervios(I’m sure it’s not really brain nerves). The pigs’ feet don’t look like feet when in the menudo because the meat is so tender, all you see is meat and bone. Their surtido isn’t as good as you will find in Mexico itself, but still very delicious! I’ve been craving this menudo since Thanksgiving and I got to return this morning for my fix. Mmmmmm.

This place offers birria and menudo. I don’t do birria so I won’t comment on it, but the menudo is great. I have tried many places and this is by far the best. They serve a Jalisco style white menudo. It is super clean and lean. They provide a fresh spread of chopped onions, oregano, chile de arbol, and all you can eat tortillas(discos). They have a large and small, the large is $ 9 bucks. Do not be fooled by the location, it is a little orange shack by the tracks. Menudo is only served on th weekends.
